What about Queen??
Jun Hong SOOO AGREED
Watched bohemian rhapsody on anniversary of Freddy mercury’s death

I was there and it was the greatest day of my life.
James Journalist who was the best band? I'm so jealous you got to see queen, David Bowie, Elton John in one day
fantastic from start to finish an event that will never be forgotten
Wow u so lucky man :)
How much were tickets to get.to this.event?
Sadly could never be repeated ...but that’s what made it unique ;)
Stop comparing Elton with Queen!
Elton is Elton
Queen is Queen
Rezki Dinda Vj IKR I’m so tired of every live aid comment being “OMG who’s here after Bohemian rhapsody!!?! I love queen Freddie is the greatest he is a god”
Beefen me too omg!!
Both are awesome.
Lel why on earth should anyone compare them?
elton is queen
queen is elton
Get your facts straight
Guys we need to build a time machine
YES, PLEASE.
UMD // yeah so we can give Freddie Mercury a cure for aids so we still have him today😊
Julian Valenzuela There is no cure for aids. But we can give him some condoms.
Delapicko GENIUS!!😂
I think they found john. We probably won't he
I’ve watch the Queen Live Aid videos so much I completely forgot that there was actually other people preforming at this event.
YO SAME
Bro I didn’t even know that Bowie and Paul played there until I watched Borhap
don't forget that there was a US Live Aid as well on the same day with many great performers... I'd be honored if some old-school Elton John fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal covers of LEVON and ROCKET MAN on my YT channel in tribute to the master. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and peace.
Literally same
Is it me or do I keep seeing you everywhere???
I'm calling it:
They're working on a LiveAid Cinematic Universe.
Most ambitious crossover yet
*Avengers Theme plays with Guitar and Piano*
It looks very likely with the David Bowie biopic coming soon
Hakuraita LACU
@@MasonThe2nd Pretty sure that's not happening, but if it does happen it won't have any of David Bowie's music in it. I don't exactly remember, but they either haven't asked for the music rights yet, or they simply weren't allowed them.
nobody will ever change my mind about Live Aid being the most epic, legendary concert events of all time
Knebworth ‘90 was better
Live aid at wembley was something special. The US concert was a bit of a mess
I don’t think there’s a person who would say otherwise.
California Jam I -1973-500K people, California Jam II - 1974....
Woodstock 1969...
Imagine living in the 60s and 70s and 80s and casually experiencing these concerts that go down in history... was such iconic times
Wow
(oh my I didn't expect so many replies or likes but thanks so much- peace and love xoxo)
Finch Grace they cost a lot of money still
Joey G I know! I’m seeing Elton next year and U2!
No need to be sassy
Just saying
I wish I grew up in a better time in my opinion... :)
@@brandonmejia7235 agreed
@Joey G I think someone needs a Xanax
imagine jhom lennon
Freddie Mercury
Elton John
David Bowie
This is the concert that became history.
We needed a concert with just 3 of them
Eh Mark Knopfler??
Queen, not Freddie Mercury
Whatever Bitch same thing
and paul mccartney, mick jagger and bob dylan
We also got paul
Imagine being one of the lucky people who saw this concert live
mikeykm1993 I would die happy 😢
I went to the concert. The ticket was £25..... I think the programme was £5.00
You’re welcome x
I was there. And if I live to be a hundred, and my brains have turned to mush, I’ll always remember it. I WAS THERE !!!
I was in Philadelphia live aide JFK stadium awesome show
People don’t pay to see “Reginald Dwight” they pay to see ELTON JOHN!
Er Right 🙄🤣
Elton, Queen, David bowie performing in one concert
I would do anything to see that
The fact he indeed look like dwight from the office US
How many people didn't understand that
Debi Tilley right 😂
I hope the Rocketman movie will have a live aid scene
Probably will
And you see Rami Malek walking by ahahaha
Definitely will

I was there with my girlfriend at the time, fabulous day, something I'll never forget. Still have my Live Aid poster and program. Actually missed the opening Status quo song because I was queuing for the poster! Most spine tingling moment was when Queen did Radio Gaga and the whole stadium raised thier hands and clapped during the chorus, "all we hear is radio Gaga" bit
that’s so crazy
Finally found it, the best performance of this song I've seen to date!
이공연은 원래곡과는 살짝 다른데
훨씬 뛰어나다
비교할수없을정도로
Most people see Live Aid 1985 as the Queen show, I see it as the single greatest concert ever created, stacked head to toe with talent…
Maybe controversial, but i always thought that Elton, not Queen, stole the show at live aid! This song being the best performance of the day!! ❤
Paul, Queen, David and Elthon on the same stage. Wow. I just need the Beatles together and alive again and I'll be the happiest person in the world. I need John, George, Freddie and David alive, I miss them like oxygen. It really hurts a lot.

@@blakm3105 wait how do vocal cords explode sorry if that sounds rude.
@@KayHGz I was joking
@@blakm3105 oh ok
He devloped vocal nodules from his voice being over used and he sounded good like this up til the last half of 1986. He didnt smoke cigs either. Only smoked weed but cocaine was his drug of choice.
I’m so glad they are making a movie about Elton ❤️
AnaMarie Rowley more excited about the Motley Crue Movie
ME GODDAMN TOO! IN SUMMER 2017 I SHOOK/TOUCHED Eltons hand at my first concert, and i was only 2-3 feet away from him the whole concert!! and only 1 feet when he wrote autos!
It sucked lmao
No, you suck.
Lord Harry Balls no it was great
the next biopic we will be seeing. i hope the kingsman guy will crush it as well!

it's not a biopic

Amiel Gagasa taron egerton
Awesome performance. It's crazy this was the last year his voice was good before he had that problem with his voice in 86. I mean he still sounds good but I miss him doing the songs with the falsettos and the regular key
David Green good point... after '85 his voice changed a lot... I'd be honored if some old-school Elton John fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of LEVON and ROCKET MAN on my YT channel in tribute to the master. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and peace.
Wasn't he high on coke at live aid? Someone said that on Bennie and the Jets at Live Aid
What happened to his voice?
@@JoelMatee In 1986 he started to develop nodules in his throat plus along with drugs. So it hinder him from hitting the high notes and had to get surgery and ever since then he didn't sound exactly the same as he used to and he had to dial down the vocals a half step. Go listen to Elton john 1986 in MSG and you'll see what i'm talking about
yep, I noticed as I moved up the years watching him live, thanks for the info mate.@@David-fh5bu
This song never gets old
Freddie has gotten his movies, Elton is next. Cross your fingers for Bowie! Also, as a non singer, why tf are they kissing the mic?
its a dynamic microphone, so the top of the mic is where you wanna sing to at all times, since its a full stadium, they gotta sing as close as they can into the mic.
Personally next I want a pink floyd movie
@@sorrynamestaken9795 that would be nice but what about zeplin🤘
@@sorrynamestaken9795 would be the greatest movie, my personal dream
Same with the Beatles, we haven't gotten a proper movie about their time as the actual Beatles. There's been ones about their early days playing in Hamburg, and ones after the breakup, but none when they were at their peak in 1964-1967.
Elton John was so damn talented, its insane. Not many could create such classic songs, sing so well, and perform like him. The man was a legend.
He's still alive, you know?
*is
After watching Rocketman, I’ll never listen to this song the same way again
I can still remember it, like it was yesterday. As a little boy of 12 with daddy in the old Wembley Stadium. I have been to many concerts in my life, but Live Aid has its own place deep in my heart. Truly the very best concert ever given!
You can't beat the groups of the 60-80"s just an amazing bunch of talent. So glad I grew up in this time period.
This man has an incredible amount of God given talent.
Elton is beyond coked outta his mind here but still manages to rock the house
😭😭
That's what coke's for
Welcome to the 80s.... everyone was coked outta their minds... lol
@@yukonofficialmusicEven Freddie was a huge coke consumer. LOL
What a version, what a voice!!!! Brillant version! Excellent Sir Elton
It's frightening that you had the greatest performers in the world at this event, including Elton, and all that anybody remembers is Queen. They really were a different level.
Are you saying it in a tone of admiration for Queen or the opposite? I cant really tell
@@aleenk5422 Total admiration
In all honesty, I don't think anyone else that day got 72,000 people in wembley, countless millions in London, 100,000+ at JFK, billions around the world to clap in unison to a song, let alone at least 3 in the same set
i watched this as a 14 year old and the most memorable part of the day was the Led Zep reunion in Philly with Phil Collins on drums. With all due respect to Queen, they're awesome...the hype has been manufactured in subsequent years, in no small part due to the success of the film. Let's not rewrite history.
The entire band is incredible. Hats off to the guitar player for just really knowing when to sprinkle in those riffs.
Brian May ?

Freddie Mercury, Elton John, David Bowie, Phil Collins and Paul McCartney in one legendary concert..
Phil Collins played Live Aid in London, hopped a plane and played at Live Aid in New York. Dedicated.
Dia straights were there aswell weren't they?
Not Freddie Mercury! QUEEN! There were other members. Please don't minimize the talents of Brian May, Roger Taylor or John Deacon!
Mick Jagger, Madonna, Sting and many more..
Ray Cooper makes such a huge difference in Elton's performances. He's excellent and a great showman too.
So glad you see his brilliance too
Everyone is talking about how great Freddie was at Live Aid but I'm still over here amazed with the fact that Elton is hitting every single falsetto and he yet needed throat surgery less than 2 years later.
I miss the 80's (I wasn't born yet, I'm 15) but people could sing without autotune really well
For example: Live Aid
One of the best performance of Rocketman
Old man percussionist is all Elton needs.
My man goin nuts on the cymbals
Bowie+Queen+Elton+MJ= Legendery
so you hear me time machine must be invented
What a musician and songwriter!
He"s a brilliant pianist and a was a great composer and singer. But don't forget Taupin was the lyricist. Bernie deserves way more credit than he gets.
Queen = Main act Elton = Opening act
Thank you 🙏 for your support Sir Elton John
?
He’s so perfect 😭

I miss these concerts due to covid 19 😢😭
3:00 on. He changed up the chorus and made his own incredible song his own. I can’t believe how great that sounds.
Elton john not wearing glasses

This song takes me out to the space. Beautiful times with genius musicians.
someone give that percussionist a raise!

If you saw this concert live.... you’re so LUCKY 💔
In this moment I wisch I was born 50 years ago instead of 15
34 years ago today(July 13) Live Aid. Good times, great song. Cheers!
I was about to turn 20 a few days later. This was an awesome concert!
Even the microphone couldn't handle Elton's voice... Too much talent
Music today is awful.
Period.
I say this all the time...thank God I came up when I did.
There will never be music like there was back then, ever again.
Before Elton's voice left him... one of my favorites of his bigger hits. Saw him in '77 and it was an incredible show. Opened with Funeral for a Friend...
Having read so much about his voice (Melbourne!) and condition in the 80s - Elton clearly nailed this song...
Simply one of the best live versions of Rocket Man 🚀!!!! His falsetto here is flawless 👌👌👌
RIP bowie and george Michael and Freddie. We have lost too many people.
That aerial shot at the 0:25 mark is so amazing to me for some reason. It gives you an almost indescribable feeling that the whole world was tuned in. Like the world stood still this day.
All I remember is the weird times each one played and trying to go to work and come back before I missed anyone.
It was epic like the moon landings the world held its breathe a true feeling of being united I was just 15 in 85 the 80s were the best times and no we didn't have mobile phones and life was great
Greatest concert EVA . Me and my high school buddies stayed up all day watching it back in the summer of 85. Such good memories. The 80’s were awesome 😎😎😎
I just realized I only knew what Elton John looked like when he was older. I never bothered to watch older performances of his so I only imagined him as post 2010 Elton John.
No cell phone flashes going off. People lived in the moment literally.
PRICELESS 🙏🙏
Who is here after rocketman movie

Ive never seen Elton perform so well here.. after everything he was going through health wise at the time...a living legend.
Elton John (icon of the most amazing era in the world) and lived life like a Picasso masterpiece
1985 seems so long ago! Live Aid was an amazing event. Elton is on fire with this song. Great song! Awesome performance 🎭
Seems? It is.
I was right there.....at home watching it on TV.....the next day on VHS. Freaks me out thinking about that.
Such a talented musician, songwriter, and singer. Bravo Sir Elton John.

Those people who put down the 80s don't know what they're talking about. It was the greatest time of all. There was so much hope and optimism for the future. Nothing seemed impossible. Live aid was the greatest show of all time!
we need another live aid
Rocketman and Bowie's Space oddity have have a similar soul 😱
Best and biggest concert there will ever be. So many legends in one place. Queen, Elton, The Who, George Michael, Nik Kershaw, Bowie, Sade, Jagger, Madonna, even more to name. All have my respect till the day I die. They made the best music. Today’s music definitely devolved compared to the 60s-90s
I need a travel/time machine for Queen, Elton John and the others😍✨
Marvel: infinity war is the most ambitious crossover in history
Live Aid featuring queen, Bowie, Elton John and more: *Observe*
"We are The World": Finally a worthy opponent
This is note perfect singing. Unbelievable performance!
Feddie was Freddie and Elton was Elton....they both smashed it on this day! I actully forgot Elton played at 20:50....as good as Freddie imo! Amazing!
when he pointed up at the sky at the end with that 3d space voice it felt like he was about to set off, best rocketman performance by a longshot
Best song from Elton, and he's done a lot of great songs
The year before his voice gave out. Still sounded great here.
just saw a rocket man live today in Barcelona ! its just incredible what i feel right now
This song has got to be one of the best ever for ‘singalongability’ beautiful!
Music gives me the feeling that I can't describe.
2018 - Freddie’s movie
2019- Elton John’s
I’m so excited
Such a sad song if you think about the true meaning ☹️❤️
Yeah, exactly. Bernie is good at writing songs with a deep meaning and message.
Exactly why I love this song so much! Sir Elton can make you laugh, and also cry, through his music and charisma. 🎹♥️
Man.. I’m in love with those many voice tones.. he fu$@! master it😍
If queen didn’t preform Elton Johns performance would have been the best performance
you forgot bout U2
Also David Bowie.
U2, The Who, Bowie were fantastic as well. Even some of the lesser knowns such as Spandau Ballet and Paul Young had great sets.
U2 💯
Sting, Phil Collins etc. Y all know aid only cuz queen was there.
Surprised nobody comments on his expressions, it's incredible in this performance how much pain he's in, and still goes on to perform like this.
I think he's just on a ton of coke. Check out his performance of Bennie and the Jets from this concert, he's definitely zonked out.
His “rocket man” face is absolutely possessed! Unreal
36 years, love for Elton
At this moment in history, I had the sense that Elton was in the twilight of his career, which at that time had spanned a total of 16 years. It has been more than 34 years since Live Aid. And he's still not quite done yet... Let that sink in.
In my eyes this is essentially the Woodstock of the 80’s, at least from a lineup perspective. I’m sure the two experiences were entirely different
This was better than Woodstock too me. Woodstock was just a bunch of drugs and sex addict hippies with psychedelic bands to represent them. Live aid not only was about a humble cause it gathered rock fans and groups regardless of political leanings together to show true music. Queen will always beat the shit out of jefferson airplane
At the beginning of the Philadelphia portion, Joan Baez, a folk singer from the 60s and Woodstock veteran herself, told the crowd," This is your Woodstock and its long overdue."
Thanks Joan!
GF bought me tickets to see Elton in concert this December. Dumped her for maturity reasons and lost the tickets. Pray for a homie.
Best concert ever, I was screaming the whole time
Eltons voice is getting better as he age. Just like a good old wine. Gets better with age!
I was in the army and missed out on this. What a musical time it was, especially with this song and McCartney doing Let It Be.
I was 7 back then I was working at school listening to music including this then the evil forces of queen beryl showed up I fight evil queen beryl my rival pomeranian girl
Wow he still had great range at this point. What a voice.
Respect to Elton John...loved the movie Rocketman...
omg and his book! loved it
This performance could have gone off the rails, but Elton's talent and energy holds it together.
02:51 - the melody of the voice, with the harmony of the chords and that rhythm. F%^k me sideways that is perfection.
