PLEASE UPDATE THIS VIDEO - tell us all if they got together. they seemed perfect for one another. UPDATE: thank you for all the likes, love always finds a way!
Nice! I was thinking they looked like a good couple and there seemed natural attraction to each other. Came to the comments and saw many others thought the same thing. If you two do date, I hope it works out well for you. Thanks for the video.
This is very good guide for someone like me who have got a road bike and never ride on the actual road. It is always on a trainer for HIIT cycling. Only ride my mountain bike in the farm. Thai road is grave yard for road bike!!!
mike wood There's a limit to what passes as a female. You might as well be into underage boys if you find her twig of a body attractive. Why even lie, bro.
No mention at all of the most important thing when cycling on a road bike, and that is cadence. You want to spin at 90+ RPM to be the most efficient. When you pedal at 60 RPM then you exert too much force on the pedals and get tired, while at 90 RPM you exert less force so don't get tired out.
+Daniel Payne You don't really need a meter if you're experienced since grinding really feels wrong, as long as it feels like you're spinning and not on a step machine.
It's one of those I wonder what happened next scenarios, this is from 2013, here I am in 2018...what happened next ? Did they buy a tandem and ride off into the sunset or was it a quick inner tube and finito benito....... the world needs to know.
The space is quite limited to explain how does it works, but I can show it with an easy experiment: take 2 coins with differen sizes; make them roll and you will find that the larger one is more stable even if you apply low energy. What you say about torque is also true, but torque can be modified by using different speeds or increasing the crankarm without affecting bicycle performance.
Complete medical guide for Cyclist, Andy Pruitt Bike Fit , Phil Burt Very good text to deep on bike fitting And this one has a massif information about bike fitting , frame design , measurements. Awesome book. Pedalear Bien (Good Pedaling) By Zeno Zani Only in Spanish , sorry by that .
0:52 the graphic comes up and says the ball of the foot should be right over the pedal axle. Then the guy says that's bad and he'd be changing it for her. Who's right?
I'm interested in the adjustable stem for measuring the proper stem length etc. who makes that or where did you get it? my google searches only bring up adjustable stems and not this measuring tool. Thanks
Scrolled down to the comments halfway through the video after thinking the same thing everyone did. I really want to know what happened after the video was filmed. Did they go out, never see each other again, get married, terrible breakup after one of them cheated on the other following a long night of drinking... inquiring minds want to know!
I think this is why the best fitters charge so much. They know these guys exist. For starters cleat position is a school of thought. With the mainstream where this guy is. You can def be to far forward but not really to far back but since going backwards changes your position it could make her problem (too long top tube worse) so if I was trying to make her fit an oversized bike then yes that's a good cleat position. Willing to bet this guy set her saddle height a bit too high (5-10mm) common when using that horrible machine along with a poorly trained person. He is very correct in telling her not to try to mimick pros by going low. No bar width mentioned... They might have been fine or he doesn't know or care to check. Some bars have different distances to get to the drops which can help with some riders.
I finished the video without looking at the comment section. I feel like she was flirting with him and he's trying his best to be professional. The comments confirm my hunch.
I'm a newbie to bicycle but i don't think the size of you wheel have anything to do with momentum. What I think would be is you will get faster acceleration because lighter wheel and faster acceleration because less torque required to turn the wheel vs if you have a larger wheel you might have to apply more torque to turn the wheel. I think momentum = mass x velocity.
excellent video about bike fit. finding the perfect fit is something that even an experienced rider will 'dial in' over time but this video is great for finding a good starting point. props to Mr. Kirkman & Swift cycles.
This was a great video about bike fitting using a terribly bad bike frame for this woman-simply put he fit her to the bike NOT the bike to her. Cinnelli's have longish top tubes, as most European makers do have. Women tend to have shorter torsos. So what is she like on the bike from the BEGINNING?-STREEETCHED OUT!. Her arms BARELY reach the hoods from the get go!. And what he does is obvious-he moves her forward, shortens the stem, moves her forward, shortens the stem....until VOILA!..SHE FITS THE BIKE. But wait: Now she's all the way forward and her weight distribution and balance are all off on the bike. He has done her the supreme DIS service in cycling because now she'll HATE that she's been fitted to a bike when it's uncomfortable or she develops other problems. And she'll say "I guess cycling isn't for me because it's so uncomfortable and I even had a professional bike fit." For a proper turorial on bike fit consult Greg Lemond's notes on the topic or better yet the enlightened, though deseased, SHELDON BROWN.
michael allen that frame model is a novice/women's model frame. it has the shorter top tube and appears to be the proper size for her. she is a novice/amatuer rider who would like to increase their power and efficiency (that means a more 'racer' type of position, leaned forward... which is the transition most noobs like you don't understand) and he is fitting her accordingly. he addresses her being stretched out at the end of the video. you can't address bar & stem positioning without first establishing proper saddle height and for/aft position over the cranks so that is why he started there. watch the whole video you nit
ccrider i raced in the 80's and 90's and still use the LeMond positioning philosophy today, but it will not work for a lot of people, especially newbies. It takes years of riding to get accustomed to that slammed back high saddle position. the LeMond method and the S.Brown (comfortable but more upright for older guys) sizing method are two extremes. i can't believe that you would suggest that this woman try to duplicate a LeMond position??? are you kidding me??? this video is a good place to start for those trying to find that balance between the old guy upright comfort (but slow) position vs the lower more aero and powerful (faster) positioning.
yeah whatever. i can't believe people are still reading this. i only watched the video initially because the girl was cute but whatever. i still think she fits ok on this production bike. if anyone wants a great fit they should get a full on custom frame made (but that costs a lot)
@0:49 He just contradicted himself. He said that the ball of her foot and the joint of the 5th metatarsal SHOULD be over the axle, and in the next sentence he said it WAS, and that it SHOULDN'Tt be, because it causes too much pressure. Well, which is it?? lol
I will be buying a Pinarello Neor next month. Do all bike shops go through this procedure to determine the right frame size and saddle height or will I have to have those figures determined elsewhere?
The GREATEST comments of ALL TIME! Thank you!!!
Came here to learn more about biking, instead the comments stole the show!!
Still better love story than Twilight!
hahahahaha
And they all lived happily ever after

What the hell is wrong with you sick, sickos?(!!!)
Exactly that.. we're sickos...
How come when I talk about bikes to girls I get the opposite effect?

Came for the tips. Stayed for the comments. Pity there isn't anymore. I still have plenty of popcorn left. Anyone want some?
Nice! I was thinking they looked like a good couple and there seemed natural attraction to each other. Came to the comments and saw many others thought the same thing. If you two do date, I hope it works out well for you. Thanks for the video.

Can't see a single comment on the bike setup! LOL
They are so good together, wonder if they got together after this....
This is very good guide for someone like me who have got a road bike and never ride on the actual road. It is always on a trainer for HIIT cycling. Only ride my mountain bike in the farm. Thai road is grave yard for road bike!!!
good video, he knows everything she asks the right questions
she is a cutie.
Einhander49 I was thinking she might have been wearing a sports bra, also.. you're shallow as fuck, but that's okay.
mike wood
There's a limit to what passes as a female. You might as well be into underage boys if you find her twig of a body attractive. Why even lie, bro.

+GamerGamer Please respond - are you serious??? I must know!!
@@jackharley8564 yeah they did, after dating for about a year or two. I worked with him.
This has to be the best video and comments that I've seen and read on RUclips. Thanks for the great information and hilarious comments.

How would you measure that?
lovedathi Many companies sell speed and cadence sensors: Garmin, CatEye, Polar, Bontrager, Wahoo, Motorola.
I might get one.
lovedathi I love my CatEye Stealth 50, because it's wireless and measures Speed, Cadence and Heart rate, all at a lower price than the Garmin units.
+Daniel Payne You don't really need a meter if you're experienced since grinding really feels wrong, as long as it feels like you're spinning and not on a step machine.
lol, am i the onlyone that didnt catch the sexual tension befor i looked down into the comment section?
here!
It's one of those I wonder what happened next scenarios, this is from 2013, here I am in 2018...what happened next ? Did they buy a tandem and ride off into the sunset or was it a quick inner tube and finito benito....... the world needs to know.
Did they copulate?
OMG Love at first sight.
when they mentioned cleats its all over i'm no longer thinking about bikes
Nice vid. Now i know to set my bike up like a pro i need to get out my motion tracking machine. and adjustable stems. Cheers
That bike, I want that bike.
They have a chemistry I believe they are perfect for each other how cute :)
it's just an English thing, not unusual for strangers to be like this
They tottaly banged!
That guy is lucky

Cinelli with a Campy group and a Dedaccai finishing kit... quite the Italian stallion.
What no comment on the best part? 4:38 These two definitely should have gone on a date!

Love is in the air~
So how did she do in the 104 mile race?
thanks guys! that's what I always wanted to know!
Excellent. So important.
Using Campagnolo Veloce, I like her

...your knee bend is 43 degrees... i'd say that should do!
?
??????????????????????????????????????????????
Usually the guy is a pizza boy or plumber, but "bike fitting expert"... that's a new one
Great video lots of good info ...
Micheal Allen - Center of gravity and wheelbase/overlap issues on a smaller bike. Larger bikes are more stable for women too.
5:08 - the prettiest English girl I've ever seen. Great bike advice too.
Love is in the air...
I love her outfit I really like the tights are they biking tights or running tights and where did you get them:]

I love to hear the British dialect; quite proper and straight away more entertaining.
The best part is 5.05 to 5.09

I don't usually read the comments but I wanted to see if anyone else noticed the way she was looking at him, EVERYONE noticed.

No, most don't have this kind of equipment
This is more a video about body language then bike bike fitting. Lol😏
