- The T114 in War Thunder is a tiny little light tank for the US Tech Treer. This little guy packs a punch with HEAT-FS rounds fired from its autoloaded recoilless rifle making it one of the best light tanks in the game for its BR.
What was planned is the US Paradropped this tank to be a menace on the front lines and even behind. It never really caught on but at least we get to experience this fun little tank in War Thunder.
This is honestly one of my favourite tanks in the game. I've not played it since it went to 7.3 but nothing has changed too much other than the odd pretty tough opponent.
Overall, this gets a SOLID 9/10 for me!

Oddbawz your voice overs are great and getting even better. It's at the point where if I miss something you've said I rewind it.
I have been having issues with getting my gun selection controls right. Separate keys for main, secondary and mg. Just having issues with it being a good fit.

The reload after the three round stowage is owchie to the feels when it’s depleted
It's changed now, it's only about 6 seconds. Pretty fast.

The plane kill was sweet. I always laugh with you when you do that and start laughing. It was in fact, peak content.
I love the T114 and using it as a sort of “boom and zoom” tank to flank heavies and side shot pesky targets
The A-1H is what I’m excited about, but I think the BT-42 is on brand for the type of shenanigans that make your videos so fun to watch.
Fast, virtually no armor but a honking chonker of a low velocity gun that punches way harder than you expect from a BT? Oh yes. It's shaping up for fun.
When i will get the BT-42, I will put sakkijarven polkka and just start drifting like in Girls und Panzer 💀

6.7, the BR the doesn't exist because of consistent up-tier where you have not chance and completely outmatched.
I'm still grinding my way the the tech tree so I'd like to see you play the M56 and the Scorpion. Just from a viewer perspective the higher-up tiers get a bit boring.
Higher tiers are definitely slower pace and boring. Less skill required as far as aiming and shot placement goes.

I've never asked any RUclipsr to play any specific vehicle, and I feel like this particular vehicle might already be on your radar, but could you play the BT-42? I really want to see that.

As far as the pump shotgun comparison at the start goes, not really. Pump shotguns shove the projectile in and then grab and pull it out of the barrel, the barrel itself is totally stationary. The pump on the bottom only moves the internal parts, the bolt&bolt carrier, which grab the round. There’s not really any guns where the barrel moves forwards out of the way, then slides back into the breach to seal shut before firing. In a manually controlled weapon (so any regular firearm) it’s always easier to just move the bolt and work the action rather than move the barrel. The only gun I’m aware of where the barrel moves is the AMX-50 Lynx, a .50 BMG rifle where the whole barrel attaches to a recoil spring and slides back, lessening the recoil, before sliding forwards back into position, and the the bolt slides forwards after it, chambering a round.

Tbh, it wouls be super awesome to get an AirDrop spawn for vehicles that are designed to do so.
Even if it's just at normal spawn.

This tank is an absolute menace in War thunder mobile. It's faster than the pc version and has a about a 2 second re-load.
The Aluminum got me GOOD
I'd guess that the Army would've used this for fire support.
Infantry, especially Marines I think, begged for direct fire support. They had about two choices; the M551 Sheridan, and the M50 Ontos.
Maybe this vehicle was developed due to experiences in Vietnam. The M113 was used to roll through brush, but only had .50 machine guns to use against the enemy. The Ontos, you had to exit the vehicle to reload. Both had inadequate protection against RPGs and IEDs.

this thing is any Maus Drivers worst nightmare lol. not only because it can pen the thing, but because it has a rapid reload AND it is small enough for the Maus to not be able to hit it at all if it comes too close. take out the Tracks of the Maus, and this thing will chew it up.
the orange smoke is still an annoying change... most of my arty kills came from one of the first 3 rounds.. the sighting round.. because thats when the enemy were the least suspecting.. the orange smoke just lets them leave before the business happens
+ that smoke is so ugly...
It's jacked up so many shots because I couldn't see through it. I liked the totally random nature of the 3 ranging shots. If I take a hit on the move, I always say its arty and keep booking.
M551a1 Sheridan was the only US airborne tank.

I always kill the Lorraines first. Their insane repair cost makes them suicidal if they are destroyed early in the game :)

@@tensa.02 I'm a father as well, and can certainly say that being a father is INFINITELY more fun and enjoyable than subjecting myself to War Thunder.
I love this tank. Lots of fun. Deletes Maus at 800m. I run it in my 7.7 lineup as well and I honestly see no difference.

first few months after it came out.... man, the armor was rated so thin that any hit or pump killed your crew instantly.
Fun fact. The .50cal gun for the 106mm recoilless rifles arent coaxial machineguns, they are rangefinding guns and are effective for approximately 600 yards
Did they really use the spotting gun? Seems like it would be a tipoff.

Also fun fact as a side effect of needing to be very accurate to be both a spotting and rangefinding rifle, it made for a very good anti infantry weapon. The marines that used it with the Ontos would heavily use it for anti infantry and hit their mark most of the time
Get the gang together and do a group bt-42 assault artillery battery. I want to se you and the gang use the bt-42 main gun as a group to do artillery fire against the enemy!

@@lambent_police7914 haha I might have to try that. I assume the SL rewards just go up with the BR. My lineups are still down in the 5.3 - 6.3 range, and when I play just to have fun and actually be successful I’m usually playing a German 3.3 lineup, so I’m mostly at a pretty low BR and get maybe 1500 SL for a cap.
