I agree. He never mentions there was violence on BOTH sides. Some British soldiers behaved, under orders(?), illegally and cruelly causing countless deaths.

Britain, like Ireland, is an island nation. Its obvious the British and Irish governments are working closely behind the scenes to long term, extract Britain from Northern Ireland. Why? Because that's what London wants. End of.
London would rather not pay the 10.5 Billion pounds block grant, every year, to keep Northern Ireland in the union and would much rather have a strong bi-lateral relationship with Dublin on other more important (and less security risk) issues - European veto's, trade, economic links etc.

"Its obvious the British and Irish governments are working closely behind the scenes to long term, extract Britain from Northern Ireland. Why? Because that's what London wants. End of"?
Well, that claim did not age well. The reality is that "...the British and Irish governments..." were NOT, and are NOT "...working closely behind the scenes to long term, extract Britain from Northern Ireland."
"Why? Because that's what London wants. End of"?
Because the DUP will never support it. "End of."
However, as Lady Sylvia Hermon(Independent Unionist MP) put it; "Brexit has and will change change everything."
The demographics of Northern Ireland(NI) were already signalling, as of the 2011 census, that Unionist domination of politics in the failed sectarian statelet was doomed.
Brixit will massively accelerate the unification of the two polities on the island of Ireland.

As we are barely a wet week into the debacle which is Brixit, your claim may charitably be described as grossly premature...
And back in objective reality, NO "...the British and Irish governments..." were NOT, and are NOT "...working closely behind the scenes to long term, extract Britain from Northern Ireland."

The reunification of Ireland will happen some day and it will happen by the consent of all of the people on the island of Ireland.
The business people will reunite Ireland not the those who use violence.
