But until now the new government is good and not extremists
I'm a Muslim myself but not that religious
Yesterday I went out with my friends to our favourite bar (we are a girls and boys group)
No one said anything to us everything was normal and pretty peaceful
We were all relieved, it was an awesome feeling that you could say whatever you want and do whatever you want with normal human standards without having to worry about being unalived or just disappearing
(We are still sceptical or careful but until now the new government in good)

I am a Christian and I'm praying for Syria and it's current leadership.
the country is in crumbles and the BBC pressing question, is how about alcohol?
you really dont get it huh?
I think it was rude to ask about alcohol. For me, al-Sharaa seems fair and honest, willing to heal all the wounds of the country, but only time will show how honest it is. I hope it will be as it seems.
Why? Alcohol is completely legal in Syria.🤷♂️
Hes asking if sharia law would be implemented. Syria is a modern secular state, with a large Christian community. It's a fair question.
Yeah so rude asking why they will not mistreat their women. They own their women and can mistreat them any way they see fit right?
So is the UK at the minute .
it is a fair and normal question alcohol is normal in democracies and its up to the person to chose either to drink or not and to be inclusive this needs to be addressed

@@capturedflame It's a great objection when you look at how many people have died due to alcohol or how little it has benefitted people.
And no, it's not a symbol of freedom. It's an intoxicant...
Why are people going on about the alcohol question? These seemingly minor issues can be a good indication of how much freedom the Syrian people will have, if they impose an alcohol ban it can be an indicator of a more repressive regime that imposes their personal views on its people where allowing and giving the Syrian people the option to buy alcohol can indicate a much freer society.
because this shows a lack of knowledge about arab society. the simple answer is it will not be allowed except for religions who are allowed it such as Christians and Druze while religions like Islam will not be allowed its consumption
