If you mean the airport I am not sure, but people could travel to Syria during Bashar regime. However safety in Syria is not guaranteed. As for those who hasn’t done the military duty, they will be picked and forced into the military service, oppressed and humiliated and possibly stuck. That’s why people could never return home with their family.
How many of Syrians who lives in asylum in Western democratic countries are willing to go to their home land Syria, where sharia law has taken place? This is not rhetorical question btw ! Just think about it !
Just one question, we have seen the toppling of dictators and protests over the last 20 years throughout the Middle East, which one of those have been successful with a flourishing democracy? And people actually believe somehow this time will be different 🤔
Well you have to be hopeful as democracy is a foreign concept anyway in most parts of the world. I think the mistake Western countries assume is that what works for them should work for others
There are different types of democracy, it's not always a completely the western way. You gotta hope for the best fir these poor people, a society ravaged!
Syria needs to slowly and correctly open to the rest of the world. Avoid graft and corruption in government
