    The trunk on this car is very heavy to open so that's why I'm here 😁 thanks. Not sure I'm going to replace it soon tho

    Try to install 2 gas springs from the Opel Corsa B 3 door version. 2 pieces are replaced and no problem with the uneven gap.

    Does anyone know if this would work if you have additional weight from a Wald spoiler (many 1 lbs or so) on the trunk lid. Maybe 2 struts would be good.

    Any recommendations for the hood struts?

  • @MrMrbarbosa
    @MrMrbarbosa 4 года назад +1

    But how does it fit? The original ones are eyelets and the others are ball joints

    • @uszokrepper1
      @uszokrepper1  4 года назад

      If you follow the link under the video and buy the spring for the e46 than it will be fine just like on the video :) On the car you have the ball joints like every other car on the planet. I red other forums where they recommend a "volvo" gas spring. The joints are the same as well but i don't receommend them because they are a littlebit shorter than what i showed you here in the video.

    Hi, will 540mm length work as well and will it go all the way up because I can’t seem to find any of them that is 541 mm would be so kind if you could let me know many thanks by the way it’s for my Lexus I S250

    • @uszokrepper1
      @uszokrepper1  4 года назад

      I wouldn't go with the 540mm. Rather than a larger one. 548mm or 550mm will fit also :)
