    Hey Matt, that 3126 is a HEUI. Meaning it's a really similar fuel system to your 6.0powerstroke, in that the injectors run on oil pressure. You may have a fuel issue, but most of the time it is a High Pressure oil issue. Sometimes the HPOP is making pressure, but the ICP sensor wont read the minimum needed to fire the injectors. Fill or prime the fuel system until the handle is hard on primer. Try unplugging the ICP sensor and starting the truck on brake clean or starting fluid. Also make sure there is plenty of oil in the engine. While it's running off starting fluid have someone watch for tachometer and oil pressure. If you don't have tach, it could be ecm power or crank/ cam sensor issue. If you still arent getting and injectors clicking, sometimes the power wires to the ECM get a bit corroded and need repaired or replaced. Wish we were right there, we could put the computer on it and get an idea of exactly what's going on really quick. Good Luck!

      Commented before I saw this. But I'll bet you are righter than I. Would priming the fuel lines at the injectors be helpful. Or is that not necessary on a HEUI?

    • @horakrepair2546
      @horakrepair2546 Год назад +49

      @@othfarmin7959 No real way to prime at each injector, because it only has a fuel rail(passage) in the head. Fuel just flows through the head with a regulator/orfice at end of head or return line making sure there's base fuel pressure. So it pretty much self bleeds as long as you have a good transfer pump or primer.

    Some community fire departments let you donate properties for emergency services and arson investigation training. Basically, call up the chief and tell them you want to them to destroy a property, they send someone in to set the fire, a team goes through rescue operations, and the training investigator has to determine how the blaze was set.

      It'll probably come when the RV hookups are sorted out because they'll need power too and I imagine the two wouldn't be far from each other

      Would definitely be cool for “training “purposes, although with the current burn ban and very stringent EPA rules(at least in my state) it would be a challenge. It’s doable, just have to remove all Asphault shingles, carpet,vinyl siding and things of that nature if it’s present. I’ve taken part in quite a few controlled structure burns and it’s definitely beneficial to young firefighters and the landowner in many ways.

I personally built and set all the forms, hand dug all the perimeter & interior beams set and tied all the rebar poured all the concrete struck off all the concrete and stripped the forms. Dug up the rock that was used for the walls and that separates the 2 levels. That whole terrace was 1 big concrete pour I even poured those 6 steps going down towards the overlook at the same time. So I beg you please be careful that would kill me if something would happen to that terrace.

      Wow Mark, so glad you found this RUclips to give such great insight and advice! You can tell so much hard work was put into so much of the buildings on this property. There is no way you can replace the quality in the materials today when rebuilding. I hated to see the 8 room building come down but he must have a good plan for something better. You, as a building contractor at the Ranch, in some aspects it must be difficult to see all this but on the other hand, it has to be gratifying to see it being rebuilt after a fire and closure. Just a thought: It might be worthwhile taking inventory of each tear-down building's fittings to do architectural salvage of some components like electrical fittings, door-knobs, lighting fixtures, wiring etc. Not only will the salvage help recoup some of the sunk cost via scrap recycling but reusing some components in any new construction will definitely help keep costs down when planning and budgeting for new structures as well as retain some of the history of the previous venue.

    That well for the sheep/goats fill pond and other must have a large aquifer to be able to continually fill without running low. A family in Alabama had a well dug and they were told they had an aquifer the size of Texas. How cool is that. So much going on it's awesome.

    You should set up some sort of early signup for the Eclipse. Sort of early access, for a limited few with special bonus, and if for some reason the ranch isn't ready they get priority treatment for when it does. Kickstart the ranch essentially, help to offset some of the cost of renovation.

    I really want Matt to save the old burned down building's ruins and turn it into an outdoor restaurant. If I were him, I would hire an architect make a detailed drawing of the Ruins currently, demolish the ruins, salvage and clean all the stones. Then have an engineer and the architect redesign the ruins so that they will be stable and safe. Pour in a new slab, and rebuild the ruins with working fireplaces.

    I saw the last solar eclipse in 2017 when I was in college in Carbondale (the point of longest duration). IT WAS AMAZING. I can not stress this enough, you HAVE TO SEE IT. pictures do not do it justice. make your kids see it, make your dad see it. MAKE EVERYONE SEE IT. It is a super special event that if you can go see you HAVE to go see. videos/pictures/descriptions do not do it justice in the slightest, it is the single most indescribable thing I have ever seen, and that moment will be a memory for the rest of my life.

    Pro tip on the paving. When you hire a crew make sure they do DOT highway work. Not parking lot pavers... We hired a crew in Seagoville when whe remodeled the Army reserve base there. We had 13 acres paved by a supposedly qualified crew. The first day when we allowed them on it I followed a HEMIT into the lot. It literally rolled the asphalt as if if hadn't been rolled. Needless to say poo hit the fan. We got a real crew to replace it and we passed inspection 2 weeks later. They made very nice gas station parking lots but didn't have the equipment to get the strength out of the asphalt.

Another excuse to build water features as well. l used to have a company that did this.
