@@SaltySeaCaptain Now that they're made in Italy and Taiwan instead of the US, the cost is kept down. A full Ballistic Sunglasses package sits around 275 to 550 depending the model, I've got an original US made Flak Gen 1 pair that have held up for at least a decade.
Were you in it?
@@DJTheMetalheadMercenary i have a set of those. I use them as safety glasses in the shop. A Dremel cutting disk shattered and got stuck in them. Saved my left eye.
The "Perfect War design" armor was actually used in The Boys on Soldier Boy for some scenes. Pretty neat stuff.
This *perfect war design* made my day
24 joules is ~17 ft.lbs. of energy. Might stop an airgun
It’s roughly the same energy as if someone dropped an NBA basketball onto your chest from 3ft up
This was one of my favorite openings yet, it hit so close to home🤣
The “perfect war design” vest reminds me of something between the movie “Wild hogs” and “Nerds” Also, with all the aggression towards the groin…perhaps a KB style groin episode is in order. How many groins can a “X” go through?
It's a movie armour, been used in a bunch of cheap action films

this is fuckin brilliant. Honestly one of your best videos, beyond par.
Bro!!!!!!! I was absolutely dying when he said the perfect war design, then started getting shot with whole rounds with casings and all... then the rocket round 🤣😂🤣
I know it would probably be hard to find but it would be sweet seeing something chambered in .277 sig fury. It's the round the military is going to be replacing the 5.56 with. And as for the 1st vest, 24 joules is roughly the equivalent of a light slap 🤣
I think garand thumb did a video on it.
IIRC, the round is actaully a 6.8mm and while very similar to the .277 Sig, it's not the same. From what I understand, it's like the difference 5.56 and .223.
24 joules (20ft/lb) is more than I'm allowed in an air rifle without a firearms certificate (16.3 joules, 12ft/lbs limit).
@@omnomshibob not much different here in Ontario Canada. Doesn't go by ft-lbs tho. Anything over 500fps requires a firearms license

You’re allowed to have whatever you make or get and defend your possession of.
You live in a tyrannical place? That only changes by brave men and women making the ultimate risk.
Hey Matt, New challenge with Wish armor...Make it bulletproof, if that is even possible. Maybe combine the homemade bodyarmor with wish armor?
Yes I think that is a great idea
That last shot with the .22 was personal
First, but must say, this was the best intro yet. Mere: "What Caliber is it?"
He was…
Thank you! I listened three times and couldn’t understand! I should have known, though!
@@annamschnetzer4036 Caliber. Not "calliper".
I so hope the "Perfect War Design" folks take a still shot of you wearing their vest and use it as a Promo Photo.
There's only one person who gets to wear "armor" like that: Joaqim from sabaton. (The one in the thumbnail)
Also, the video opens up with Matt vacuuming and I'm all "oh no ... what did you do?!"
I thought the same
When you can accurately throw axes from a distance but you fail twice to go for the torso in melee 👀what a twist
Thank you for keeping your videos entertaining 👍
