Tl;dr, in comparison, nobody will ever 100% fit textbook gun safety if we consider that we're humans.
Don't get your panties in a twist over what is honestly a very minor factor, given that he continued to follow the 4 fundamental rules of gun safety.
The problem with that foam is that the pillow will never forget what you did to it.

Back in the service they used to say that if you fired a cleaning rod out of your gun with a blank round it would Pierce body amour (no sapi plates) I may or may not have witnessed a cleaning rod go through a shelter door from this method but you should test it on body armor!

When I volunteered for rescue squad, part of our swift water rescue equipment (only Chief had access to, sadly) was a lever or bolt gun designed to fire an anchor (which was a hard steel rod) with attached high line across to the other bank of a river, where it would bury itself.
Think nail gun, but 45-70.

The Sig is basically like a Swiss watch, precision at it's finest.
My thought was if the Sig P226 was good enough for the SEALs.... That being said I'm DEFINITELY no SEAL lol and I'm sure they could still kick ass with a paper clip and a broken rubber band.

Weighted blankets are supposed to help people sleep better, in part by making them feel safer/more secure. I think it helps people with anxiety sleep better as well. I imagine it's sort of like those tight dog and cat vests(I forget what they're called) which reduce their anxiety/stress, especially for pets with separation anxiety, or that get freaked out during storms, possibly even from vacuuming, etc.
As for whether or not they'd be bulletproof, I would assume so if folded enough times. Then again, I suppose that's true about a lot of things.
I am now curious what it takes to get a weighted(or even regular) blanket to stop a bullet from various guns/calibers.

@@HunchbackGamingNation My grandma had one that was filled with magnets. It wasn't a standard weighted blanket, and I don't know what the magnets were supposed to do for sleep, but I'm just saying there are other sorts of blanket out there.

As a Swiss who served in the Swiss Army, with the SG550 (Stgw-90) as the service rifle i can fully stand behind this gun in every way. To this day it's the best, most reliable and accurate rifle i've owned and shot. I'm very glad and proud that you liked it.

Kevlar has always had the weakness that shots on the same spot will go through. Usually it takes 3 rounds same spot, but 2 rounds can do it. Love my sig 556 as well.

I'm 26 years old and have watched A LOT of internet content. And I can honestly say that Matt is by far my favorite creator to date. His intros are just fan fuckimg tactic. He's the only creator I would actually travel to go meet.
So Matt, you always are finding out what is bulletproof and I had the thought, how bulletproof is the barrel of a gun? Like shooting perpendicular at a rifle barrel for example to see what it takes to go through the walls, just a thought, love the videos!

Maybe some three guns, long ranged, etc.. Have the proceeds go to a pro-2A organization like FPC or GoA. I actually built one just like that years ago and sold it to a dealer at a gun show in Greenville, SC. I wonder if that gun somehow made it all the way out to you? That would be pretty cool. I bought the lower from Sig at the time. They had them for sale with the stock.

I have this dream that there's a full length movie featuring every gun RUclipsr called Dr. AK versus the Demolitia, essentially pinning Brandon Herrera as the villain, the TFB folk as corrupt cops, and Garrand Thumb, Scott DeShield, and John Lovell as the main trio, Matt Carriker as sort of the Q, arming the team with the weirdest bulletproof gear as a prank (like pillow armor), and Hickock45 making an appearance as sort of the old mentor, Mr. Miyagi, father type that trains the team with Matt's inventions. But, don't worry, Brandon, you have a mentor as well. Jerry Miculek is your dark mentor. I also want to see Scott winning the day by tossing Garrand Thumb at the bad guys, finishing up with, "I just put a Thumb in it."

I've got to get me a bullet proof pillow. I'm a heavy sleeper, takes me a while to wake up.. that's why I sleep with a pistol under my pillow, safety off, finger on the trigger; that extra second I save could be the difference between life and death. With my night terrors, accidental discharges are really putting a strain on my marriage. If she had a bullet proof pillow I'm sure she'd stop complaining about my perfectly reasonable precautions.

@@cyfer6661 The Steyr AUG is an Austrian assault rifle not used in Switzerland. The name SIG translates to Swiss Industrial Company (Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft). SIG has been manufacturing the Swiss infantry rifles and pistols since 1860. Even though "SIG" is still in the company's name today, it was acquired by German investors in 2000, or at least a branch of it, known today as SIG Sauer. Stuff gets weird though, as that other branch still exists by the name of SIG Combibloc Group AG and is currently active in the Packaging industry, but used to participate in firearms and railcar manufacturing as well...
@@stevieaiden Well you don't have to, but if you want, you can keep it. It costs 100 CHF for the modification of the rifle to make it semi-auto, as it would be illegal to keep it full auto while not in active service anymore.

The 4th 9mm went in the same hole as the 1st 9mm. If you watch closely you can see the edges of the hole get a little darker. Good shot, Robin Hood!
