What do you mean by when the reverses?? The rifling stays the same direction regardless. If you threaded 2 different Twist Rate barrels together then that would seriously effect it I would think. Either way this is a great idea and i love it💯 Your really on to something with this one. This is actually a better idea then screwing a bunch of suppressor’s together because we know what will happen then it will def Baffle Strike and prolly explode the suppressor. But with the 2 different barrels together no one really knows what will happen its def never been done as far as i know!

They tested this on Mythbusters. Had a sniper fire a blank, they watched for the muzzle flash, then had a paintball gun set up like 10 feet away that would automatically fire after the appropriate amount of time that it would take the bullet to travel. They got hit by a lot of paint balls. I think the conclusion was, you could dodge the bullet but only at a distance where you could no longer see the muzzle flash (daytime).

@@terrykelsey2472 Pulling on the rope will only move at the speed of sound in that medium due to the propagating vibrational atom to atom interactions within that specific material. The speed at which the rope atoms interact is entirely dependant on the density and elasticity of the material. If the rope were made out of pure diamond, the speed of sound or atom interactions in the rope would be 35ish times faster. If the rope was infinitely dense and perfectly non-elastic (a rigid body) then the speed of sound in that material would be faster than the speed of light by a factor of infinity lol. Yeah, I was thinking the same. Also, you have to yank 100 yards of rope plus the doll.
They'd need an electronic solution where someone presses a button to have a motor yank on the body. And if they wanted to make it even more realistic, have them test just how quickly they can move one body width to the side from a standstill and use that as a calibration for the motor.
But then we're getting into far more detail than a Demolition Ranch video needs.

Myth Busters did this test and found that the minimum range to have enough reaction time to dodge it was 500 yd but even that would be impossible because they used the muzzle flash as a queue to move but without special Hollywood style blanks the muzzle flash is unnoticeable from 500yd. Going by sound isnt an option as most rifles rounds are supersonic, and even if they werent, the delay between the sound and the bullet reaching you would be way to short.

What they do is that when the person starts to put pressure on the trigger before he actually fires the gun they move out of the way. They can see the difference in the color of his knuckle at the moment before he fires. It is the idea that once a person starts an action he can't change that action midway through.

Its not only the slack but "stretchyness" of the cord! Most regular cord has the capability of stretching of a milimeter on a meter of cord. So if you have 50 meters cord, it can stretch 50 mm so it "reacts" with delay. Fun fact: People that are kite flying for sports use kevlar cords, because they have some of the least stretchyness. SO if you pull the steerig cords of a kite in 100 meters height, it reacts instantly.

Yeah. All you can do if you're being shot at is try to be as hard to hit as possible by moving sporadically and being unpredictable. Of course, the best way to not get shot is to not get into situations where you would be shot at. Great video, as always. Appreciated the collab.

This is definitely spam. All you can do if you're being shot at is be as HARD as possible. There's a reason guntubers tend to be muscular. When you get shot, flex as hard as you can. Body armor.

The Tech 9 was based off the Swedish K. Once you envision it as an open bolt, little sub gun, it kinda makes sense. The first ones imported into the US were open bolt semi auto. Yeah, the ATF wasn't amused, so Intertect modified them to the setup you have there.

Yow Matt, I love your vids, I always watch them coz you give so much happiness each video.
But what I think is more realistic is when the mannequin gets the jump first coz the most common scenario is the bad guy points at you, tells you to not move or he'll shoot, but you see a hard cover 1 meter beside you. When you jump 1st, can the bad guy's reaction time and bullet reach you before you're in cover?

So, the speed of sound is also the speed of "things happening." As in, you cannot pull that string and have the dummy fall faster than the speed of sound. That is how physics works. So even if that string was completely taught, you could not possibly get the dummy out of the way faster than the speed of sound
If the bullet is supersonic, it is physically impossible to pull it out of the way in time
