best engineered and made on the market for battery powered lawn equipment, I have had mine since 2016, 21" deck not Aluminum 6 Amp/hr battery and it ramps up when you get into thicker deeper grass, I have cut a half acre with mine on several occasions it was average maybe 2/3 inches tall nothing more using the rear to side discharge mine came with , i love that feature, you actually get a little more battery life out of it that way and after 8 yrs the battery is still fine , no degradation in any cells and the best part is how it stores standing on end it takes less space in my garage then my wheeled luggage, EGO for ever and i just bought their most powerful handheld blower, 765 CFM with battery, charger shoulder strap and a couple of attachments with taxes bit over $400 👍from Lowes
That’s a steep price just like for the M18 mower! I just want to know how well the self propelled system disengages for when I need to pull back? My yard has a lot of “obstacles” that I have to go in and around. So you’re saying this mower feels like our generation of Tonka toys and not this generation…lol!
I’m seeing this on Lowe’s for $750 with the battery and charger and that’s before my 10% military discount. I might have to upgrade my current ego I’ve had for close to 10 years.
My Ryobi cuts grass just fine and a 1/3 less in price. I could see as a commercial unit but home? I’m sure the base ego is going to work just as well. I’m all for the next gen though because it raises the bar for the next base models.
What i was able to buy for the price of this ego mower on ryobi 40v. 20in mower, universal attachment string trimmer, 600cfm blower, earth auger, shovel attachment, edger attachment and a spare 7.5ah battery. While i respect the ego is probably better in every way, the cost is absurd
Why would you say that best in class Honda thiers cost 1200 gas push mower. And heck Crafstman t100 with same spec riding mower cost 2000 dollars. So the price now is cheaper even with sales plus holiday sales.
That high pitch whine of the drive motor is like fingernails on a chalkboard. As one poster mentioned, what the hell is up with the blade disengaging in reverse? I own four EGO tools, but I would expect more from EGO when it comes to their mowers. Lastly, as another poster mentioned, I'll stick with my gas Honda mower as well.
I wear earbuds and barely notice the whine, but ya they should've used a slightly more expensive part to eliminate the whine. Not sure what disengagement your referring to. It looks like he released the lever a couple times and stopped the blade. Mine spins regardless the direction. I like that I don't have to mess with gas, oil, filters, etc to have a running device. Not smelling like exhaust is nice too, but to each their own.
Rather get the Ryobi for half that price and able to run 2 battery’s only thing it’s got going for it is the deck compared to the plastic one on the Ryobi but still not be able to tell the difference.

Have two EGO MOWERS one is PUSH and the other is the BEST self propelled one and I have a RYOBI one and with all the BATTERIES about $4000 with weed eater and Blower and hedge trimmer and chainsaws about $5000 no big deal

Totally disagree. Ego is the best homeowner battery powered lawncare equipment . I sold my Echo battery equipment setup and can say there is no comparison.
Totally disagree with ya, I have zero experience with echo, but if you’re happy with it that’s awesome. I regret selling my dewalt mower and trimmer. I recently used my neighbors m18 mower and trimmer, next spring that’s what I’ll be buying. Far superior quality of product and cut quality on the 2 year old M18 mower put my Ego to shame. Not to mention the performance was 10x better, no bogging down or cut outs, plus it actually filled the grass collection bag.
That's why you should check out multiple sources. Overall it seems like Ego is a good brand for outdoor products, but some have quirks that reliable sources mention.

It just ruins it for me when so many of their youtube partners lie about other brands and even lie about being sponsored by ego. Ego either encourages the dishonest behavior or they have such poor judgment that they don't vet their people.

You might be looking at model LM2135SP. This video is model LM2200SP (or LM2206SP with the 10ah battery)

1200 is cheap. Good reel mower is 2500 plus. Worth it if you care about your lawn.

5 year warranty for the battery, and I've seen posts with 8+ years with the same battery and device. All depends on how they're handled.

For small yards I would agree, but I wouldn't use Ryobi mowers for a bigger yard after watching several reviews.
I'll stick with my Honda gas mower.
$1200 is stupid money for a push mower.
It comes with charger and battery....... similar to pre-purchasing 5 plus years of gas.

Main reason I won't buy ego is their advertising tactics. They pay people to lie about other brands and be dishonest about their performance.
