Kirsty Partridge Art you're an amazing RUclips artist 😍
+Bren Karl awww thank you so much 😊
Kirsty Partridge Art I love you...
Kirsty Partridge Art, you deserve more than 1M subs, your drawings are beautiful, and when I saw your paintings, I was so jealous because I ... I can't paint. Your art work is an inspiration to my art work, and I have picked up nice tricks from your art to create better looking drawings, I draw Pokemon, so it's very different, but when I can relate Pokemon to your drawings, you know it means that your drawings are amazing. Also, last of all, I want to say that the cometary and the camera angle gives me the feeling that I'm watching a perfectionist, (witch I am) good can't wait to see part 2. Keep up the good work! (Also I subbed) 😊
wow
Scariest thing as an artist
The OTHER EYE
Im 12 and im a pretty good artist who can draw realistically my trick to drawing the other eye is one part at a time. Draw the top part of the eye then draw the other eyes top part, then do the same for the bottom it makes it easier to match up
OMG YEA
So true
I gasped xD
I was just writing that I can't do the other eye and its killing me.
What an excellent artist with a great understanding of coloured pencil use. I'm trying to teach myself and you are the first youtuber I've found who doesn't blend using some form of medium, just using the varying pressures of each colour layer. Inspiring!
OMG using an exacto knife to do highlights is so smart!!
I love the child's blue eyes 💙
+Tammy Annika thank you 😊😊
you make it look so easy. the eyes are amazing and this video makes me want to practice right now but I have to go to bed as I have work in the morning 😭
Amanda Nguyen it's arrived right? Good for you! But I have the same thing right now and I'm waiting 🙏😂
Amanda Nguyen and what's ur brand? I ordered Prismacolor 72 can't wait hehe :-)
Bella, Renesme and Edward's eyes
...I don't... like twilight...
So
The way you made the skin blend so smoothly is 😍
I’m a colored pencil artist and I never had a problem with eyes. Hair is a pain in the ass for me lol. I just don’t enjoy drawing the hair and rush thru it which is the worst thing to do. Oh and you’re incredible!
I’m trying to follow this, I’m impressed, I kind of didnt appreciate how much the skin contours around the skull/eye socket but at 13.48 you can see how important the shading of this is to realism.
I’m having trouble putting down the depth of colour with my Polychromos on Fabriano Bristol smooth, also I’m having trouble with getting the right skin tones, but I’ll keep experimenting. Many thanks for posting this.
My own eyelashes are totally straight and short. They seem to overlap with my eyes. I’ve had to wear fake ones…but I’m allergic to most makeup and have very light eyebrows. I’m a ginger with long hair and very greenish blue eyes. I look like I’m frowning when I keep a straight face…I did my first self portrait and I did a pretty good job thanks to you! 😉
Thank you Kirsty. Your tutorials are really helpful for beginners like me. Please keep posting videos like this.. God bless you.
You are queen of realistic drawing
I just ❤️ your Sketches..
Those 17 who dislikes the video are your enemies 😀
Priyadharshini Balakrishnan they are jealous
I would love to hear more about the blade and how you exactly use it without damaging the paper, looks super interesting, never saw this method before! Great video as always 💖
Wonderful, beautiful reality in colour pencil work.
your videos are amazing and so informative..I was wondering if you could do a video on spacing. how do you get everything so lined up perfectly..on the face?
beautiful kirsty, you never fail to amaze me. I really love the way you make your eyes so realistic x
It is very nice of you to take time and share your skills with others. Thank you !
Thank you it is my pleasure :D
The way she explain things is SOOO SATISFYING because of her voice and her accent ;)
Is that a polar bear in the child's eye?
LOL Olivia! In the left eye, I saw a sitting leopard. The 2nd eye, I saw an angel. Perhaps it's like those ink blot tests psychiatrists use: whatever you need in your life, it appears before you, such as the most beautiful part of an iris, pupil. Did you see a polar bear in each?
Frances Turano I saw a polar bear in both
What you guys are saying😂😂
There is no polar bear and aliens in the eyes.
It's the shine of the eyes.
Looks like a polar bear sitting on a small iceberg to me.
Quit art in school two years ago but always loved it and was really good at it. Picking it up as hobby now. Incredible drawings btw.
And can you do a video more about sketching and how do you copy from a reference photo? That would be super helpful❤️
I'm getting back into art after years.
Great work! Your tutorials are a huge help
WOW, your skills and observation are excellent Partridge!
Such a great video! You are so talented and I also love that you list all colors you've used. That's so incredibly helpful and not many artists do that, so thank you so much for that!
This was amazing and super helpful. I'm new to colour pencils and did my first eye tonight before seeing your video. It was extremely frustrating. I feel like your a magician and your letting me in on your secrets. I can't wait to get back to it and use everything you thought me. Very cool! Thank you sooo...much!
Lovely video! I. Love drawing realistic eyes as well! Just recently did one in full color, and it’s so refreshing to just focus on the details.
Very fine tutorial Thank you for sharing and writing short info of your choice of materials and use of colour

Thank you very much for your tutorials! Watching them makes me want to do portrait drawing! LOL.
Eyes staring back at me for 20 minutes without blinking. I have never lost a staring contest.
Thanks, Kirsty, for the clear descriptions. I've drawn for years but feel that the human face has always escaped my ability. The faces I draw look somewhat similar but not "like" the person. Your videos are very helpful!
I have trouble drawing two eyes in a pair in opposed to just one. Idk why ,I just do.
One will look completely different than the other. This helped a bit. Thank you.
This is so so awesome !!! Thank You for sharing ....

Dope just earned a subscriber
Wow! The eyes look amazing! You do this realy great :)
Wow!
Thank you so much for your great cp-tutorials. They are a great help. Might it be possible to show some tricks how to get highlights oilbased cp? Unfortunately I cannot afford the Luminance and you said the trick with the knife only works with waxbased pencils. I work mostly with the Polychromos.
your video was really very helpful!! although I couldn't do it a bit like you! but thank you very much
Hey can you make a video about tips and tricks to draw realistic portrait in small size, maybe in A4 paper
I love this ❤❤
good job
really nice, i have like thought about using a knife before for highlights but never succeeded in it andn ow thanks to our video i know it can be used as a technique
+DavidTheArtNinja yeah I do love using that little knife. It does take time to figure out the right angle to hold the knife at to get the best results but once you have figured that out the coloured pencil will easily glide off the paper 😊
alright thanks! I'll keep trying
That is sick
EYES♡ Excelente. Very nice and greetings from Venezuela! ^^
Maravillosos ojos......Te felicito.
you are good!!!!!!!
can you use fabercastell classic colour pencils on this?
I wonder, do you ever look at a drawing you've just finished and think 'WOW! I just drew that!'
It looks nice I'll try it because I love to draw😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Amazing
iv tried a few white pencils, they never seem to work very well over the top of other colours. any tips on what to buy?
thanks in advance
Is there actually a specific paper for color pencils? Or can you actually use any type of paper?
depends what effect you want. You can by all means use standard copy paper, but nicer paper helps the quality. I use toned tan paper because I like the color and the feel of the paper. You can use paper with a tooth or a smoother paper. In the end, it all comes down to preference. Colored pencils are great because, unlike other mediums, there isn't much of a restriction of what paper you can or can't use.
Kirsty, is it easier to draw a a very large scale eye or smaller eye scale more difficult? Is this video available for watercolors? I have a kit of 72 watercolor pencils, not just colored pencils, but when water is applied, they blend. But I must say dear, that I've never encountered anyone who creates such incredibly beautiful eyes than you. :)
Omg amazing! How do you blend the colour so well? Are you using a smudging technique or white? Just starting out but absolutely intrigued! Love your channel ❤❤❤❤
I wish to draw 😣looks so much fun
What pencils are u using? Can u put in a video of the pencils u use... a lot of people wonder what great artists use?
Ur work is amazing!!! Could u please do a tutorial on how to draw black skin?
you're amazing♥♥♥
my goodness
Beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
woow am gonna use this tutorialso
Please I have a question regarding technique with the gel pen. I have problems with application of fine lines with gel pens. I wondered if you were removing excess or built up pencil to apply the gel highlights? It perhaps it is simply a question of the quality of gel pen i use versus yours? Thank you for your help
