This is a fantastic tutorial, and you explain everything so well. I did something similar a while ago using the 3 primaries, black and white. I learnt so much from limiting my pallet. And so much fun.

Your work is so beautiful. I'm really curious about your thoughts on the scale of a piece and how big or small a novice should be working at the beginning of their journey.

Hi and thank you for the kind words. For a novice beginning, keep the scale of your work to one that you anticipate you can keep going on, keep interested in and keep engaged with. I would never tell anyone what scale of a work to draw, even for a novice. That is your personal decision. But do know that a large work can be intimidating, and weird to draw when it’s a large scale. Build your skills, do practice as much as you can, and have fun. Cheers

There are a number of them, Stonehenge White or Stonehenge Warm, Fabriano Artistico Hot Press, Strathmore Mixed Media, Strathmore Colored Pencil, Arches Hot Pressed. Cheers!
