I am a bar owner in PP and can provide a little info on how budget travelers can still enjoy themselves and hack the system a little. The most attractive girls tend to always get bar fines and can be picky, but if you are on a budget pick one of the more average but still cute (by your own standards) girls who tends to get overlooked by wealthier customers. While they may 'swarm' you when you first come in, this is only to give you a chance to pick out a suitable girl - once you do, make it clear you will only buy drinks for her and the other girls will quietly go back outside again. Go during happy hour on either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday - barfines are typically $5-8 less on these quiet days ($20 typically only on the busy days, Thurs-Sat, $10-12 on the quiet days). The medium attractive girls will be happy with $50-100 tops (negotiate early to avoid wasting time or money) - buy her a drink or two to make her happy and leave within an hour and you can spend less than $100 total AND have a happy and grateful girl who will go the extra mile to make you happy when you get her back at your hotel. Been living here 17 years.. Precovid, the Chinese would pay $100- $200. But western men would pay $50-$80 all night. The bar fines vary depending on the time. Before 10pm maybe $20. But after that it goes down to $10. Also, if they know you are new in town they will try ask for more, but just tell them you know the real price and the price will come down.
East Asians, White simps and Black Americans have ruined it. Back in the day it was mostly shrewder White guys doing geomaxxing and prices were kept low because the people doing it were not so stupid
Those rates are in line with girls in the US. Single men can stay here and try Vegas for those prices. The current airfare to Bangkok is about $3500 from east coast. Those are prices for Jan and Feb.

Went out two weeks ago. Nana on 104. Gorgeous girl, really, star of the bar, sweet, pretty good English, looked half Japanese. Maybe 30. Bought her a drink. Chatted the predictable this and that. Flirted. Asked if she'd come out with me to my favorite music bar with live band playing. Oscar on 104. Could only take her out of Nana after three lady drinks, bar policy. So I paid for two more. (I didn't insist she actually drink two more drinks :-), together with my beer this set me back around 17 USD. Oscar has normal prices for drinks whether it is boy or girl who drinks. Spent maybe twenty dollars over three hours. She loved the rock 'n roll by the great local band, she had never been there but had heard of the place. Left Oscar maybe 1 am. We decided to do 'short time' because she had to get up early the next morning. She left around 3 am, after etc. with great enthusiasm. Gave her 250k riel, 62.5 USD. We never discussed price. A next time she says she'd like to stay all night. At age 68 I am not complaining, spent some $100 on a long evening and excellent night. Price/value is not just a matter of how much you pay but also of how much you get. By dressing a bit nicer than the average punter (not so difficult), and behaving like a boyfriend would, and treating them like a girlfriend, chatting with them, joking and teasing a bit, taking them to another bar or for some street food, rather than just pawing them while sucking down another beer, price might go down and quality might go up.

I'd like to give my 2 cents. Currently been here for the first half of November 2023. The bar fines have been $15-$20 per bar... Street 130 or 136. I doubt 20, but i simply gave them a $20 bill and didn't see any receipt. Oh well. Same with the $15. That doesnt matter.... but what i think the maximum you should pay would be $50 for a short time. Ive done this twice, and a new working girl( she said only there a week?) almost seemed shocked i gave her $50. So much so, she wanted to go for a 2nd round AFTER i paid her. I wasn't expecting it at all. I got lucky at one of the bars.. someone really liked me and i bought about $100 worth of drinks for her and friends. Im certain the lied on the bill, but didn't argue. Anyways she didn't charge me for a long time (All night 2 shots). This would be super uncommon here and i wouldn't expect it again from anyone else. On my very 1st night i had a very beautiful girl turn down $60. She was young and had a mamasan do the translation. Mamasan wanted $100 but i didnt take it. That being said i heard local.guys pay.only $10 or 20. So i might push my luck at $30 because something tells.me $50 for an hour is way to high here.
Myself and two friends used to make regular visits to Sihanoukville. The last time we visited, the place was a disaster. The Chinese put casinos on every corner and priced the natives out. We stopped at a large restaurant and couldn't get waited on. I finally raised a fuss and called a waiter over. He told us the place was for Chinese only. We stayed in an attractive appearing hotel that was way overpriced and we found the rooms were filthy. There was not enough water pressure to even take a shower. The next day we headed to Phnom Penh, booked into a clean nice hotel. The price was quite reasonable. Then we went bar hopping looking for bed partners. The ladies seemed to have a set price of $150 US. This was several years ago, Cambodia was taken off our holiday list.
The ONLY reason to go PP over Thailand is because it needs to be cheaper... quite a bit actually to make up for the lack of infrastructure...if that isn't the case then PP is a hard pass...this is the valuable content we need

Hi Eddie, From my dealings in Asia they seem to take a different approach to economics. It seems to be the customers responsibility to cover the fixed costs of a business, from my experience involving golf and bars. Therefore the fewer the customers the more they need to pay.
The small hotels are the same way. Less people, not much business they think they can make it up with overcharging to make up the difference. They see it doesn't work, but they keep doing it.
He's right. I live in Phnom Penh and on the weekends often go into the girlie bars with a couple of mates who live in those bars. The going rate is $50US. But not long before covid it was 20 for an all-nighter. Since covid, the prices of bar fines, drinks and everything has gone up. It seems ridiculous but Asia is well known for people who say, I'm only getting half as many customers, so I have to charge double. However, I used to think a girl who asked for $100 was pushing her luck. But it became the standard opening price a girl asked for. Then you talked her down to 50. If a girl ever said to me or my mates I want $200. I would assume she doesn't like the look of you and would be no fun anyway. I don't know anyone, who has admitted to me that they have paid that much for a girl. I think the surrounding countries haven't had this effect, as during covid their bar scenes completely shut down. I'm assuming they will be happy to get the old rates which were the same as here if you negotiated well. If it's girls you want, Thailand and the Philippines are a better bet right now.

It's a weird phenomenon that happens quite often in Asia. Most Asians just expect their returns to keep steadily getting better, as has been the case for the last decade or so, no matter what the situation is. They will begrudgingly accept no increase. The idea of getting less money than the month before, is incomprehensible to them. Some one must be blamed for trying to rip them off! My favorite bars in this town closed when their landlords doubled the rent. A friend told me of his Australian friend who owned a bar in Thailand. The owner owned three buildings that were rented out as bars. Two of them closed. He apologized to the Australian bar owner that he had a certain standard of living that he needed to maintain and so he had to triple his rent on his upcoming lease renewal. Bar owners decorate their own bars in Asia. When his lease was up he smashed the bar up and returned the keys. The tragedy here is, this sort of behavior benefits no one. But it happens often in many Asian countries. The bar girls have been earning less money lately. So what do you suppose they did to adjust to that problem? Prostitutes in western countries can be obtained for those prices. If Asian bar girls continue with that stupidity, they will put both themselves and the bar owners out of work. Some friends have said that it's the rich Chinese and Koreans ruining the market. But at the time they were saying that, the Chinese weren't allowed out of their country yet and I'm getting more cat calls from girls when I go past their bars, than I've heard in a long time. They're desperate, but dumb.

Rich Asians on vacation can not sustain year round high prices bar girls charge so that strategy won't work. 80% of the male tourists who are not rich will stop coming which will causse hotels, restaurants and bars to collapse. @@john83me14 The Asian double the rent syndrome, isn't just a female thing, lots of Asian landlords just like the Thia bar owner mentioned in the previous post, are male. If they don't drop the prices, bar girls will become a thing of the past around here. The KTV market, which always asked more money for their girls, will survive and keep servicing people in that market. In other words the business will just evolve, but there will be far less of them, if they don't wake up to themselves. Yes, they do charge different rates, for different guys. Barfines are a set price for each bar. Once you leave a bar, any price negotiated for a girl's services is done one on one with the girl. Pimps and organized prostitution is illegal. No bar is allowed to be paid a percentage for sex and governments enforce that rule. If the girl doesn't like the look of you she will ask for a higher opening price and be less willing to bring the price down. Things are changing and some of the younger girls want younger customers. But as a rule they consider a guy in his 20's to be a baby and aren't that interested no matter how good looking he is. Another problem is the girls who just want to work for commission on drinks and the monthly bar wage are usually the younger girls. They also know that younger guys don't have as much money, at least from the long term relationship perspective. An Asian with whiter skin spends no time in the sun and is regarded as rich. You can have a bit of a gut and a nose (the long straight bridge is important) that looks like it belongs to something like Gonzo from the muppets and they will think your handsome. I spent a month there 3 months ago and I like you was shocked by the scene at the Riverside 'obvious' bars where people go when they first arrive. In time I tried other streets and met expats in their 60's who had arrangements with pretty girls for $60 a month. If thats what you want its still cheap when you leave the Riverside area.

Exactly my experience in PP a few months ago. I am mid 30's and was quoted over the top prices. $20 bar fine and $100 short time. In 10 days in PP the only guy who took a bar girl back was a Korean. I was in a bar one night and 2 arab guys came in and left without buying a single drink. Prolly annoyed at the price of lady drinks ($4.50 USD) and $20 bar fine. For those guys who say Pattaya is over and it is all happening in PP, no it is not. In Pattaya I got a beautiful early 20 girl with no baby (could of been a model) for 1500 THB. Come to Kampot. Not nearly the selection, but prices that you will love. Right now, since the tourists have not invaded, most of the girls are working in the bars are free lancers working for lady drinks only, no bar fines. I have paid as low as $20 for short time. Many of the ladies are just looking for an ex-pat to live with and take care of them. Kampot is very laid back. A great place to spend a little time to relax. And, what a great place to spend time with a lady doing the Girl Friend Experience.

I went there a couple of weeks ago. It seems dead and I asked a couple of girls and they asked 100 USD dollars for a short time (one shot) plus bar fine. I am from Europe and I spend less in a German club where you spend 150 euro for one hour and no shot counting. On the other side few western people and it's easy to talk with people but I didn't fly for 12 hours to just talk to old dudes.

I just landed in PP a few days ago and went to one of the premier bars on 136. I corroborate EVERYTHING Eddy said. I spent 8 hours and too much money at this one bar. Not one girl was barfined in that 8 hours. They absolutely prefer to ply lady drinks if their prices are not met ($100 for stunning spectacular where I was). It's rly true that I also was wishing more guys would come in to relieve some of the swarming pressure. 10 hot Girls and me drinking for hours was a lot of fun but cost way too much. It is unbelievable how many HOT Girls there are per guy. Much much waaaaaay better than Thailand in that regard. If you want to play hard tho - - better get a second mortgage.

The chinese made the prices go up because they pay whatever it costs. They are taking over Cambodia, they built the casino and invest in all the real estate there. I'm 27 and I payed between 40-70$ for girls for LT in Phnom Penh. Sometimes they asked 100$ but I demanded that I only pay 50$ and 4/5 times it was fine. And the only time when I paid 70$ was when the girl was absolute stunner 22 year old. The 200$ prices are for Japanese/chinese/koreans or old men who are willing to pay high prices.
They only need to find one rube a night at $200 rather serving 4 dudes at $50 and have to put up with all the shit/risk and end up being tired at the end of the night. It makes sense but in the long run it will change the vibe of the place and only attract rich Koreans or Japanese men on one week benders.

That's just stupid. Before Covid, in 2019, I had an all nighter with a beautiful woman for 10 $ barfine and 50 $ for her. No reason for such a dramatic price hike, that's just pure greed. OK in 2019 there were a few young beautiful ladies demanding 100 $ but they also only wanted fewer customers.
My last visit to Cambodia was January 2019 and many bar girls quoted me $100 USD, "gift" 555 and bar fine $20. Of course you can negotiate or use social media but, IMHO, girls will keep asking ridiculous prices, well, because they can and some guys are willing to pay. I go down thee about 1 a month. 2 favorite bars I go to are The 24hr bar and the Party girl bar on 136 st. bar fines 12.00 and girl for the night $50.00. I usually take 2 girls home for the night buy them 2 drinks each and take them to o la la for beer and food. beer is .75 cents for for a large mug of beer and food around 5-6 dollars. Always pay them in the morning before they leave. You have to be firm with the other girls in the bar. I am only buying drinks for these 2 girls not you. Looks like they tried to con you at the other bars. Stay on 136st no problems there. When they sit down with you. Be firm tell them 50.00 for the night. Bill at o - la-la about 20 25 dollars for the 3 of us. I am almost 69 yrs old and thank god for Viagra lol

One of the poorest countries on earth, no customers and they still want $200. Makes zero sense. I don’t pay that much in the USA. In Thailand, 2,000 baht is my max. Get rejected by one? Move on to the next one. It’s a numbers game; the vast number of freelancers pretty much guarantee that I win.

Lady drinks cost you $4-4.5, one bar charged 3.5 which is the lowest. Bar fine is $10-20 while the girls charge $60-100 for ST and 100-200 for LT, depending on the popularity of the bar and the girl. If you want to go for 60/100 price, avoid St 136 or the popular bars on other streets. So you probably can get laid for $80-90, with 2 beers for you, 2 ladies drinks, bar fine and tips for the lady. 2x1.5+2x4.5+10+60=82

Hi Eddie I was on beach road last week walking from Soi 2 hotel towards walking street and was absolutely amazed by what was there. Most of the girls were 2/10 in looks aged and well seasoned regulars (grannies,lady-boys and druggies(?)). Very few (one of 25)were above a 5 in beauty,fitness, or body type. Right around mikes mall there were six women in long elegant evening gowns dressed for the Oscars. I was full amused viewing these girls standing there surrounded by trash, waste, rats, and such dressed as they were. So....... Of course I walked over to say hello and inquire. The 1st thing noted was there was a manager who seemed to be Chinese and possibly lesbian who first words were 4k baht. Girl had no hello or anything else just 4k baht. A big black man in his 20's sat depressed and alone. I chatted him up and he revealed his Cambodia experiences while there of the last few weeks. QUOTE " Man them Cambodian women just want to sit the bar and drink" were his exact words. I asked if he got laid and he said it was not worth the time or effort since they think themselves worth five hundred dollars for short time. I pitied him on an emotional level then sent him to my guaranteed get laid for 1k baht massage parlor on Pattaya Klang. Girl I recommended was from Nakchom Rachom Issan and a solid 7, under 25, 120 lbs wet .Man got up as if enroute to a free pork BBQ meal and actually took a cab to get there......

Thailand was shocking It was the worst that I've ever seen it, since I first went in 2000. My advice is avoid it until it gets better unless you enjoy 1s and 2s forget going for 9s and 10s you'll get the odd one but get a few hundred pounds ready!

Good info on the pricing. I am guessing three things pushing up prices (despite the usual supply and demand dynamics). One is that the girls think that the only people who can afford to travel after Covid are wealthier people, second "good value" means it was under priced and before and three trying to get the same total revenue as before (but since there are fewer but richer customers and it was under priced before it makes sense in their minds). Like you said, the only way prices will come down is if the customers do not pay the current price but that will take time. Whether the women's thinking and their actions turn out to be correct, only time will tell.

I am a bar owner in PP and can provide a little info on how budget travelers can still enjoy themselves and hack the system a little. The most attractive girls tend to always get bar fines and can be picky, but if you are on a budget pick one of the more average but still cute (by your own standards) girls who tends to get overlooked by wealthier customers. While they may 'swarm' you when you first come in, this is only to give you a chance to pick out a suitable girl - once you do, make it clear you will only buy drinks for her and the other girls will quietly go back outside again. Go during happy hour on either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday - barfines are typically $5-8 less on these quiet days ($20 typically only on the busy days, Thurs-Sat, $10-12 on the quiet days). The medium attractive girls will be happy with $50-100 tops (negotiate early to avoid wasting time or money) - buy her a drink or two to make her happy and leave within an hour and you can spend less than $100 total AND have a happy and grateful girl who will go the extra mile to make you happy when you get her back at your hotel. Price/value is not just a matter of how much you pay but also of how much you get. By dressing a bit nicer than the average punter (not so difficult), and behaving like a boyfriend would, and treating them like a girlfriend, chatting with them, joking and teasing a bit, taking them to another bar or for some street food, rather than just pawing them while sucking down another beer, price might go down and quality might go up.

I'd like to give my 2 cents. Currently been here for the first half of November 2023. The bar fines have been $15-$20 per bar... Street 130 or 136. I doubt 20, but i simply gave them a $20 bill and didn't see any receipt. Oh well. Same with the $15. That doesnt matter.... but what i think the maximum you should pay would be $50 for a short time. Ive done this twice, and a new working girl( she said only there a week?) almost seemed shocked i gave her $50. So much so, she wanted to go for a 2nd round AFTER i paid her. Myself and two friends used to make regular visits to Sihanoukville. The last time we visited, the place was a disaster. The Chinese put casinos on every corner and priced the natives out. We stopped at a large restaurant and couldn't get waited on. I finally raised a fuss and called a waiter over. He told us the place was for Chinese only. We stayed in an attractive appearing hotel that was way overpriced and we found the rooms were filthy. There was not enough water pressure to even take a shower.
The next day we headed to Phnom Penh, booked into a clean nice hotel. The price was quite reasonable. Then we went bar hopping looking for bed partners. The ladies seemed to have a set price of $150 US. This was several years ago, Cambodia was taken off our holiday list.
The ONLY reason to go PP over Thailand is because it needs to be cheaper... quite a bit actually to make up for the lack of infrastructure...if that isn't the case then PP is a hard pass...this is the valuable content we need

From my dealings in Asia they seem to take a different approach to economics. It seems to be the customers responsibility to cover the fixed costs of a business, from my experience involving golf and bars. Therefore the fewer the customers the more they need to pay.
The small hotels are the same way. Less people, not much business they think they can make it up with overcharging to make up the difference. They see it doesn't work, but they keep doing it.
He's right. I live in Phnom Penh and on the weekends often go into the girlie bars with a couple of mates who live in those bars. The going rate is $50US. But not long before covid it was 20 for an all-nighter. Since covid, the prices of bar fines, drinks and everything has gone up. It seems ridiculous but Asia is well known for people who say, I'm only getting half as many customers, so I have to charge double.
However, I used to think a girl who asked for $100 was pushing her luck. But it became the standard opening price a girl asked for. Then you talked her down to 50. If a girl ever said to me or my mates I want $200. I would assume she doesn't like the look of you and would be no fun anyway. I don't know anyone, who has admitted to me that they have paid that much for a girl.
I think the surrounding countries haven't had this effect, as during covid their bar scenes completely shut down. I'm assuming they will be happy to get the old rates which were the same as here if you negotiated well. If it's girls you want, Thailand and the Philippines are a better bet right now.

It's a weird phenomenon that happens quite often in Asia. Most Asians just expect their returns to keep steadily getting better, as has been the case for the last decade or so, no matter what the situation is. They will begrudgingly accept no increase. The idea of getting less money than the month before, is incomprehensible to them. Some one must be blamed for trying to rip them off!
My favorite bars in this town closed when their landlords doubled the rent. A friend told me of his Australian friend who owned a bar in Thailand. The owner owned three buildings that were rented out as bars. Two of them closed. He apologized to the Australian bar owner that he had a certain standard of living that he needed to maintain and so he had to triple his rent on his upcoming lease renewal. Bar owners decorate their own bars in Asia. When his lease was up he smashed the bar up and returned the keys.
The tragedy here is, this sort of behavior benefits no one. But it happens often in many Asian countries. The bar girls have been earning less money lately. So what do you suppose they did to adjust to that problem? Prostitutes in western countries can be obtained for those prices. If Asian bar girls continue with that stupidity, they will put both themselves and the bar owners out of work. Some friends have said that it's the rich Chinese and Koreans ruining the market. But at the time they were saying that, the Chinese weren't allowed out of their country yet and I'm getting more cat calls from girls when I go past their bars, than I've heard in a long time. They're desperate, but dumb.

Rich Asians on vacation can not sustain year round high prices bar girls charge so that strategy won't work. 80% of the male tourists who are not rich will stop coming which will causse hotels, restaurants and bars to collapse. If they don't drop the prices, bar girls will become a thing of the past around here. The KTV market, which always asked more money for their girls, will survive and keep servicing people in that market. Yes, they do charge different rates, for different guys. Barfines are a set price for each bar. Once you leave a bar, any price negotiated for a girl's services is done one on one with the girl. Pimps and organized prostitution is illegal. No bar is allowed to be paid a percentage for sex and governments enforce that rule.
If the girl doesn't like the look of you she will ask for a higher opening price and be less willing to bring the price down. Things are changing and some of the younger girls want younger customers. But as a rule they consider a guy in his 20's to be a baby and aren't that interested no matter how good looking he is. Another problem is the girls who just want to work for commission on drinks and the monthly bar wage are usually the younger girls. Exactly my experience in PP a few months ago. I am mid 30's and was quoted over the top prices. $20 bar fine and $100 short time. In 10 days in PP the only guy who took a bar girl back was a Korean. I was in a bar one night and 2 arab guys came in and left without buying a single drink. Prolly annoyed at the price of lady drinks ($4.50 USD) and $20 bar fine. For those guys who say Pattaya is over and it is all happening in PP, no it is not. In Pattaya I got a beautiful early 20 girl with no baby (could of been a model) for 1500 THB. Come to Kampot. Not nearly the selection, but prices that you will love. Right now, since the tourists have not invaded, most of the girls are working in the bars are free lancers working for lady drinks only, no bar fines. I have paid as low as $20 for short time. Many of the ladies are just looking for an ex-pat to live with and take care of them. Kampot is very laid back. A great place to spend a little time to relax. I went there a couple of weeks ago. It seems dead and I asked a couple of girls and they asked 100 USD dollars for a short time (one shot) plus bar fine. I am from Europe and I spend less in a German club where you spend 150 euro for one hour and no shot counting. On the other side few western people and it's easy to talk with people but I didn't fly for 12 hours to just talk to old dudes.

I just landed in PP a few days ago and went to one of the premier bars on 136. I corroborate EVERYTHING Eddy said. I spent 8 hours and too much money at this one bar. Not one girl was barfined in that 8 hours. They absolutely prefer to ply lady drinks if their prices are not met ($100 for stunning spectacular where I was). It's rly true that I also was wishing more guys would come in to relieve some of the swarming pressure. 10 hot Girls and me drinking for hours was a lot of fun but cost way too much. It is unbelievable how many HOT Girls there are per guy. Much much waaaaaay better than Thailand in that regard. If you want to play hard tho - - better get a second mortgage.

I'm 27 and I payed between 40-70$ for girls for LT in Phnom Penh. Sometimes they asked 100$ but I demanded that I only pay 50$ and 4/5 times it was fine. I go down thee about 1 a month. 2 favorite bars I go to are The 24hr bar and the Party girl bar on 136 st. bar fines 12.00 and girl for the night $50.00. I usually take 2 girls home for the night buy them 2 drinks each and take them to o la la for beer and food. beer is .75 cents for for a large mug of beer and food around 5-6 dollars. Always pay them in the morning before they leave. You have to be firm with the other girls in the bar. I am only buying drinks for these 2 girls not you. Looks like they tried to con you at the other bars. Stay on 136st no problems there. When they sit down with you. Be firm tell them 50.00 for the night. Bill at o - la-la about 20 25 dollars for the 3 of us. I am almost 69 yrs old and thank god for Viagra lol

If you want to go for 60/100 price, avoid St 136 or the popular bars on other streets. So you probably can get laid for $80-90, with 2 beers for you, 2 ladies drinks, bar fine and tips for the lady. 2x1.5+2x4.5+10+60=82

I was on beach road last week walking from Soi 2 hotel towards walking street and was absolutely amazed by what was there. Most of the girls were 2/10 in looks aged and well seasoned regulars (grannies,lady-boys and druggies(?)). Very few (one of 25)were above a 5 in beauty,fitness, or body type. Right around mikes mall there were six women in long elegant evening gowns dressed for the Oscars. I was full amused viewing these girls standing there surrounded by trash, waste, rats, and such dressed as they were.
So....... Of course I walked over to say hello and inquire. The 1st thing noted was there was a manager who seemed to be Chinese and possibly lesbian who first words were 4k baht. Next day I was sitting on beach rd at soi 6. A big black man in his 20's sat depressed and alone. I chatted him up and he revealed his Cambodia experiences while there of the last few weeks. QUOTE " Man them Cambodian women just want to sit the bar and drink" were his exact words. I asked if he got laid and he said it was not worth the time or effort since they think themselves worth five hundred dollars for short time.
I pitied him on an emotional level then sent him to my guaranteed get laid for 1k baht massage parlor on Pattaya Klang. Girl I recommended was from Nakchom Rachom Issan and a solid 7, under 25, 120 lbs wet .Man got up as if enroute to a free pork BBQ meal and actually took a cab to get there......

Personally whenever I'm in Thailand and when I was in Cambodia I approached the girls I liked the lokk of and started a normal conversation with them, never bought a single lady drink only made conversation, exchanged contact details and arranged to meet then after work and they were happy to go for a few drinks and some street food after that go back to the hotel and you can still have a good time and the girl only asks for 20 to 30 dollars - okay yes I'm quite a tall guy and seem to attract the Asians naturally but starting a normal conversation first of all tends to work better

Good info on the pricing. I am guessing three things pushing up prices (despite the usual supply and demand dynamics). One is that the girls think that the only people who can afford to travel after Covid are wealthier people, second "good value" means it was under priced and before and three trying to get the same total revenue as before (but since there are fewer but richer customers and it was under priced before it makes sense in their minds). Like you said, the only way prices will come down is if the customers do not pay the current price but that will take time.
Whether the women's thinking and their actions turn out to be correct, only time will tell.
