Thanks for your video. It made installing my glass effortless.
Thanks Mark I appreciate the reply keep up the great videos
nice work Mark. Good info on the 3/8" roping. Your Door glass videos were very valuable to me as well. You need to put out more videos from So Cal!!
You rock Mark.. I went with the bead..
Beautiful Camaro !
That's a badass resto camaro very cool
Mark did you happen to shoot a video of the windshield and rear glass trim/moulding install on this car? I didnt see that in these videos.
That car looks good Mark. What size wheels and rear tires does it use?
What kind of detailer are you using? I need to install my front and rear glass. Thanks, can use all the help I can get. 👍 videos.
Hi Mark, just wondering if you guys use any 3M primer on pinchwelds before laying down the ribbon seal tape on the channel. Thanks
Does any kind of detailer work . Also how long does it take before the glass start to stick to the bead.
what kind of detailer do you use? „Meguiars Quik Detailer“? Thx.
Great job mark
Thank You
Mark...I am installing the rear glass in my 69 Elco restoration project. The bottom channel has no drainage for water. Noticed the Camaro is much the same.
Would it be OK to fill in the void at the bottom....with caulk , so water does not sit in the groove. I had to replace the rear panel do to years of rust.
Just trying to avoid future rust issues in that area. Your reply would be appreciated...thanks
I am not sure that would help with future rust issues. You may get small voids in the chalking that will hold moisture longer creating a invisible problem. I would likely use a good rust inhibitor like pour 15 in the grove and let any moisture dissipate normally. Great question! Thank You
Do the shims you are using need to be a certain size or is it to just give you an idea. I am doing this on my 74 Nova. Additionally, I live in a cold climate so this project will be done in a garage not outside in the sun. Would you still recommend using the detailing product on the butyl? Or should I set the Shims in before I set the glass to ensure proper fitment? I have also heard of a tape trick? Thank you
The shim should be a size that centers the glass in the frame. You can install before or after. You just need to support the glass center to the frame. The Nova is the same concept. Cold weather does not produce the same results as warmer weather. Good Luck and thank you for the question.
Mark Boice would you using something like a blow dryer on the edges after it set might help. Or just not use the detail spray at all in colder weather? The highest it gets around here is mid 30s for months.
@@joshuajackson8112 Yikes! To Cold For Me. For sure you would require some kind of heating source! You need the detail spray for sure to get the glass to set properly. Yikes! To cold for me!
Josh, the tape trick is "dry sitting" the glass into position evenly. Then using masking tape as a marker to reset the glass in the same place after installing the butyl.
Mark could you tell me the color on that camaro it would look great on my 67 Chevelle I'm about to paint I hope you see this and respond thanks Jerry Newman
Agreed! It would look good on your Chevelle. However, The car was painted over 20 years. So we have no idea what the color might be. Sorry we could not help. Mark
Mark, can you put some glass in my car, 70 Nova, front & Rear, is your shop in Los Angeles?
We can. We are in the Orange county area not to far from LA. See you soon.
Same concept for a 68 impala?
We're required to convert to urethane, not butyl tape
so the detailer is just a soapy cleaner?
not familiar w the product.
what color is this car
did you find out the color?
