    Went through the assembly manual 4 times and nothing about glass installation and to be honest was quite nervous! This made it very simple and quick!

    High FIVE! You just saved me a lot of grief. I have been working on the interior of the wife's '68 Firebird convertible, and finding those little rear windows to be a major challenge. I taxed my grasp of profanity considerably removing them, and expect the balance of the process to be smoother thanks to your skillfull presentation.
    The wife and I are differing as to whose toy is cooler, the '68 Bird she inherited from her father, he having purchased it new during the Summer of Love, or my '59 Ford ton-and-a-half. Both are candy apple red and we refer to them as Little Red and Big Red respectively. Drop by my site for the latest on these two family projects, and thanks again! "Uncle Tony's Shop Talk"

    Thanks for sharing the info. Everyone needs to know that the Assembly Manual does not contain everything you need to know. There is also a Fisher Body Manual, that holds the info for door, deck lid, and window adjustments.

    Great video! I'm down to all the details like windows and interior on my 68, and rely on videos like yours. Keep them coming. Also Would you be able to tell me what size tire and wheel you are running in the rear? It looks killer!

    I did mine 15 years ago with no instructions. Although I got them to they line up well, they never operated smoothly throughout the whole range. Now I got another thing to ad this to my to do list.

    Thanks for all the good advice actually I'm working on a 67 comaro install all wind up glass . The vent windows are market the run channels have a rubber seal with a felt cover that was coming apart in the box.. the originals can't be used .dry rotted but I can make everything work correctly with them in the car. Or by pulling the aftermarket seal out of the run channel I see I can order separate run channel for each side any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    So I have been doing thees since the early 80's. Great job on the videos both door glass, and quarters. My question is have you found re-pop glass that actually fits well? I so what brand is it?

      Bob at Classic auto glass is probably the best. However still not as good as the original.

    hi i need to know how is the quarter glass molding is attached to the glass, is there some type of adhesive nobody around here really knows and your so good on those windows i figured you would know. thanks scared shiftless

    • @MrScaredshiftless
      @MrScaredshiftless  5 лет назад

      Originally it took glass tape. This is a rubber like materiel. It is the same material as used on the vent windows on many vehicles. 1967 Camaro has vent window. Hope this helps with your search. Great question! Thank You.

    It seems to me both videos, door and Quarter glass each assume the other is correctly adjusted, and you are adjusting one to the other. A sort of Chicken or the egg.
    Where do you start when both glasses are going in new?

    • @AndrewGroupSolutions
      @AndrewGroupSolutions Месяц назад

      Let me answer my own question. After several hours, and sleeping on it, I think the best approach to adjusting the glass and quarter glass in the same session is to adjust the door glass against the front edge seal, and across the top. The adjust the quarter glass against the door glass.

    Hello. Are you, or anyone else, also familiar with the 68-72 Nova rear quarter windows? I’m having a hell of a time getting mine to work. All new channel, new guides, new glass. I CAN NOT get it to even begin to roll down straight. HELP! PLEASE! ANYONE!
