  • 1968-69 Camaro and Firebird Part 4 how to Align the Door Glass with ease! This time it was to easy! Knowing the tips and little tricks is very helpful. Watch Mark Boice with Scared Shiftless Rides and Wrecks explain and shows how easy it could be. It looks simple! However it could take several hours even with the tips and tricks!

I'd also add the thing that really really screws me up as the variable is that bottom most inboard/outboard adjustment at the very bottom rear of the door. It seems to always be the trickiest thing to get right and can make or break your other adjustments

These videos are great! Thanks for the instruction on the windows. You have the doors aligned and shutting incredibly well. Did you make a video for that too?

Sorry we do not. It would take several hours to explain properly. Maybe in the future. Thank you for question

There is some kind of hard putty on the lower adjustment screw nut for the quarter window track how do I get the putty off without damaging the inside of the car where the lower adjust track screw goes through the inside body panel? Linda M.

Good video. But the order of adjustments is important if you want to avoid spending all day going back and forth since most adjustments affect the others. The order of adjustments should be:
    1) Glass Tilt Front to Back (adjust what's called the "cam", it's the short horizontal track on the door. Make sure uneven UP stops aren't tricking you here, you should adjust the tilt with the window rolled down an inch or two - use a ruler to check opening is same front to back.)
    2) Glass Position Front to Back (adjust top of both vertical tracks).
    3) Up Stops (set both front and back stops evenly to get right closed height and be careful not to induce tilt you corrected in step 1.
    4) Glass Tilt IN/Out (adjust top of both vertical tracks. Be careful not to screw up what you did in Step 2.
    5) Stabilizer Tabs (fuzzy guides). Should touch glass very lightly.
Finally, adjust the quarter window AFTER the door window.
    Hope this helps someone.

I know this is an old video but it's really all I can go by. I've been fighting my 69 Camaro for months trying to get the windows and seals adjusted. I'm a retired plumber by trade so I haven't done this before. Thanks

3 and a half hours of absolute frustration but I finally got the driver’s door done. Still off roughly 1/16” of an inch from top to bottom on the A-pillar seal but I suspect that’s as good as it will ever get. Thanks for the tips and demo. If not for this video I’d either give up and go full roadster or drag it into a field and set it on fire. You saved my sanity.

Thanks Mark for this video. What I would need before that step is some advice on how to properly mount a power window regulator/motor assembly into the doors of my 1968 Camaro. Appreciate your help!
