The NBA is essentially a monopoly so they’re not competing against other basketball leagues, they’re essentially competing for global viewership, so there’s a story in it for them to sell, one about nepotism babies which will definitely gain a lot of eyes. If the NBA had a legitimate competitor league, they’d be at risk of being closer to wwe and reality television than they are to a professional league. This isn't really nepotism because LeBron don't run shit with the Lakers or the NBA. He's an employee. This is marketing approved by the NBA front office. Stop tryn to control someone future and ur future is bleek. 2nd, if u got a chance to help ur kid to get a job and set them up for the future, whats wrong with that?! That's what a parent supposed to do! Hell, if ur homie or home girl need a job and u in position to hire them at McDonald's, u gonna hire them b4 hiring a stranger. Didn't hear this much hate towards Archie Manning for his kids, Denzel Washington towards his son, or the thousands to millions of other parents that's known to help their kids. I bet if any on this panel have kids that's really interested in the same profession as them, their kid will get a job. People too invested in hate and don't even know it.
Bronny needs to expand his horizons! God did not give him his father's height or talent to be a top-notch NBA player. However, his father is a billionaire with amazing formal and informal business connections. Why not leverage his wealth and privilege to start a social media management company for NBA and WNBA players?
Bronny wanted an opportunity to play in the NBA. Bron and partners are giving him that shot. If it doesn't workout, he can do a plethora of things. He's got the privilege to exercise his options in life later on.
I wish Bridget would replace Melyssa on the JBP. She has a much stronger personality and is a way better podder. Them boys wouldn't be able to play with her like they do Ford.
Nepotism's okay, if it doesn't take away from someone who ACTUALLY put the work-in = Lebron has no problem ruining players/coaches/GM's careers, with so many of his bad decisions, so no one's surprised that he's positioning his son, to do the same idiotic/delusional things, Lebron's BEEN doing, his entire career = it's a BAD look that they're desperate to get in the NBA, when they don't need to do that
She already has her mind made up. I agree with ESSo. They have enough money to do anything to create a Fortune 500 business. People will never respect bronny James as a basketball player because of how good his father is.
Ok, bronny still wanted a shot even if he ain't "deserve" it. At the end of the day he will still have those options to do other things if basketball don't work out. He has privilege to exercise his options no matter the outcome.

A lot of people are doing a whole lot of talking with no facts just assumptions. Every year there are people who get drafted that aren't skilled enough to play in the NBA that same year however their work ethic and intelligence mixed with how they relate to team mates some end up being decent to really good players. Some don't pan out at all. Hella people get hired for jobs everyday that they aren't ready for yet they get the job. That’s not to say that they won’t get views, but those views would come with significant risk when it comes to betting and authenticity.
This isn't really nepotism because LeBron don't run shit with the Lakers or the NBA. He's an employee.
This is marketing approved by the NBA front office. It's a storybook narrative that will intrigue basketball fans. Father and son playing on one of the most prestigious teams in the league, with a real possibility of winning a championship together, which would be the sports story of the century if accomplished.
He has a good point.
1st how is someone gonna tell me as a kid not to play basketball and go do something else. Especially if I can play.
Heineken never played a sport in his life so for him to say D Wade was ever trash is blasphemy.
I wish Bridget would replace Melyssa on the JBP. She has a much stronger personality and is a way better podder. Them boys wouldn't be able to play with her like they do Ford.
Nepotism's okay, if it doesn't take away from someone who ACTUALLY put the work-in = Lebron has no problem ruining players/coaches/GM's careers, with so many of his bad decisions, so no one's surprised that he's positioning his son, to do the same idiotic/delusional things, Lebron's BEEN doing, his entire career = it's a BAD look that they're desperate to get in the NBA, when they don't need to do that
You sound dumb af! & don't have any idea what the fuck you're talking about
If Bronny fall into depression because people are laughing at him and picking on him, don’t start the sympathy shit
I can already see the anti bullying campaigns lmao
@@stayfly68you really are a hater lol
@@rhorn04 yep the biggest hater
Dope clip, I feel like everyone made solid points fr
She right 💯😂😂
She already has her mind made up.
If the NBA doesn't work out for him he could still create the Fortune 500 business. That's the part Esso is missing. Why should he care what anyone thinks about his NBA career?
@@djturner-smith6380pro sports is about competition to the consumer we don’t care about the business of it lebron turned the nba into a joke
nepotism is giving about unqualified fam and friends positions. If Bronny was a college all-american, this would not be considered nepotism. i'm not giving my child a job he's not qualified for
If Bronny could not play he wouldnt have performed good in the McDonalds All American game.
Wow y'all really hate LeBron that much to shit on his kid
No. Just hate nepotism. It's why unqualified caucasians run everything
Yes.
Dwade was never trash. Even in old age he played limited minutes but was highly efficient for a 2g. Lebron should have never traded him. I guess dwade wanted his son to earn it. He probably could have forced his son onto the miami heat or bulls if he really wanted to.
Shawty was making complete sense, perfect example of nepotism
were klay, steph, booker, JJ JR, wigins, gary payton jr, or austin rivers first round worthy?
Sports is enough for lacks. Education and business is what lacks should do😊
8:35 .....but it is where the most studied & diligent at their craft. It ain't all fun & games just cause they singin & dancin; have you not seen a CB performance 😅 point is it definitely takes time to get the nod of approval in that arena too & ppl payin just as much if not more to watch them as well...
Being pro nepotism generally in a country where you’re only 15% population and went through 200 years of slavery isn’t a great idea no matter how rationalize it.
She made a perfect point North West took someone's spot, not because she earned it but because of nepotism
Yall overthinking it. Bronny just wants to play ball mane. He loves Basketball. The whole goal is to make it to the NBA .If it dont work out for w.e reason in the NBA his dad can put him in another position to win. but the goal for every ball player is always the NBA!!

I’ll put this into perspective
MJ’s sons had better stats than Bronny. MJ ain’t ask David stern to draft his sons 2nd draft or do summer league to try & get picked bc his sons weren’t good enough to begin with
No disrespect to Bronny but skill wise at best he’s playing in a good euro league
It’s like when I would see Jojo Simmons trying to rap like Rev Run. U can’t rap well lol. Dawg u should be with uncle Russell running a label or clothing line lol
But if it doesn’t work out for Bronny in the league, he can do other shit after
You said it best. The Jojo Simmons reference is spot on.
man Giannis brother is a bonafide cheer leader and he been in the league for more than 2 years, i don't get how people have a big problem with Lebron doing the same thing.
You an NBA scout? And how do we know what MJ asked his owners to do? How do we know if MJ’s sons wanted to go to the league?
@@wada8658 Gianni’s gon be in the league for the next 13 years. Lebron ain’t lmao
When Lebron retires, what incentive does a team have to keep his son when there are players 5X better??
Pippen kid got drafted by the Lakers second round 2 years ago. That kid in the G league now
No they weren’t respectfully. They shouldn’t have played college. MJ played the nepotism game heavy.
Esso is a 100% right, on this one.
No he’s not
Esso 💯 facts‼️. Use Nepotism to put Bronny in the Lakers front office‼️. I don’t see any of the BUS family playing basketball‼️ Esso is right!
Lmfao you don’t just get put into the front office. He has a way better shot at making it on an NBA team.
@@sebastienc.2257 now by being a player actually increases his front office chances.
I definitely agree with esso. I have no idea why bronny wants to go to the league. You come from a family of extreme wealth there’s so much more he can do and get more money instead of breaking his body on a basketball court
He got drafted 55 and you’re STILL complaining. That’s crazy
She is 💯 Esso Your Wrong Bro ! She speaking Facts over Feelings.
NBA is dominated by black players. If Bronny steals a slot, he just took from a worthy less fortunate black player. You are setting the culture back by 1 less black multi millionaire family.
No she's not. Nepotism is always bad. So why emulate bad behavior? Doing so makes the emulator just as bad as the the one being emulated.
You can't copy bad and get good. If you have a bad copy of a music album or movie and copy it, it ain't gonna magically fix what was wrong with the original copy, you're just gonna end up with two bad copies instead of one.
Same principle applies here. Morals and values go out the window for the 💰 with most people though.
Man, where's the rest of the King Of All Black's (Shampoo) interview???
The problem is Bronny could steal another young mans dream by taking a spot he doesnt deserve. That could alter a families trajectory. Meanwhile Bronny is already rich. Nepotism is never good.
NEVER?
I guess Nas making illmatic with a list of the best producers in the game never shoulda happened😅
“Lebron James is in so many pockets nepotism doesn’t just have to run through the NBA.”
Real ass quote.
If prince james pull up and say "let go baby" that yellow bone will go lol.....BRONNY JAMES WANT TO MAKE HIS OWN CASH - that billions its his dads 🎯💀🔥😂💯
It’s beautiful for them to play together. Even if it’s for 1 game.
Bronny is better than a lot of scrubs we’ve seen play in the league, so he will find his way.
2:25 she doesn't know what nepotism is
Bronny better get drafted whether he is good or not because of what his dad did for the league. MJs sons didn’t even make it to the NBA and that shows the lack of respect for MJ.
It’s about his kids being able to benefit off his legacy . That’s what we do it for. I served 20 years in the military and now my kids get a military ID and college for free, and preference in government jobs.
Bronny got to get in on GP
Those are UNIVERSAL incentives afforded to EVERYONE that’s done the same. Essentially, those are benefits that are set in place.
?!? So Donald Trump jr should be the best president or hunter buden I guess with your logic lol
People keep saying he don’t belong but it’s multiple players that went in the 1st round and they averaged less points than him🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣🤡
Bronny got dealt a terrible hand with the heart disease. He basically never got a chance to show what he can do at USC. All he needs is a fair shot.
Umm, you mean with the vaccine?
That his dad pushed on America?
😅 karma.
He will get a fair shot in the g league and that's ok it's a marathon not a sprint
Exactly I seen his game drastically change every year except the year he got cardiac arrest. It’s his intangibles and defense and he can shoot. Dude is just an uncut diamond we not saying he gonna be lebron. Ppl forget Bron is in the argument to be the goat like let’s really be serious. Bronny is a decent player if he play smart bc he got the athleticism, intangibles, defense and can shoot.
He wasn’t like that in highschool though💯😭
@@Goodkidbadkid12 he brought up the mcdonalds game like bronny was a top performer.
Shit some of these podcasts were not good when they started however they got better over time.

For everything that Lebron has done for the NBA and the MEDIA……he 💯 deserves the right to help his sons get into the league. Salute to Bronny for making his dreams come true. No matter how his career turns out…..this is a WIN.
I hate when people say we can do fuck shit in the name of bein black
I still haven’t seen it…Bryce being better than Bronny
I had to look up Nepotism heard it so much
Esso is 100% right. Nepotism in sports needs a certain level of talent. In other areas you can learn while being granted an opportunity. In soprts you have to be really good at the sport..nah mean?
No you don't have to be really good lol how many busts can you name in the NBA?...end of the bench scrubs..still "good" to a degree but you can't say Bronny doesn't have just as much skill and still developing.
She's overtalking like crazy. Be better Ma
I agree, if my dad was a billion dollar athlete and next in line to own a team. I am not trying to be no damn player, I am trying to position myself to be ready to become owner/GM. Fuck playing basketball lol
Nepotism is the worst way to get into the NBA or any field. Bronny literally just took the spot of someone WAY more deserving. That's bullsh*t. 🙄
It happens everyday. How many people get put on because of who they know or who their parents are. How many kids get out of criminal situations because their parents have money or they are connected?
Es$o saying the truth, but ANY nepotism should be used by black folks if we can do it,cause most of us will never be in that position! It's really about generational wealth, education, unity,& black economics in the community

I’m with Esso. Put him way ahead doing something different. Bryce may be the one. Sometimes we as black athletes don’t arrive at this ah-ha moment until we’ve all tried the same path in sports and not made it to the league.
Now how would it have looked if someone trained, someone became an agent, and we pushed forward one / the best of the group
