In this DayZ Guide, I'm going to share the best tips n tricks on how to raid bases in DayZ. How to raid with grenades, the grenade launcher and other DayZ explosives. It's really easy. These tips work on both Pc, Xbox, And playstation.

ive recently seen a youtuber do a raid with explosives inside a building and the wall wasn't high enough to block grenades from going over and the ceiling was low enough to make it easy to bounce a nade close to the other side of the wall. why not throw the nade over the wall and damage both the fence and the panel? does it just not work that way?
i dont like this 4x or 3x locks its way to ez to get the code right i start base bilding under a tree all oround the map

My best raid story was the accidental one. Late at night and I’ve just died. Freshie gal spawns on the shore by the Svetlojarsk docks. I run into one of the large warehouses and found something (don’t recall what) but I was tired and daunted by the late hour and having to go through another life. I logged out.
Didn’t get to play that survivor again for weeks.
Finally logged back in and the poor girl wakes up literally inside a massive Minecraft inspired wooden castle that is the length of most of those docks and as wide as the rails to the water in the bay. Just so OP and ridiculously huge. The old graphics card took too many minutes to render. But there I was, trapped inside a fortress filled with loot and vehicles and everything my poor freshie soul desired, hmm, except a well full of water.
Dayum! Same story at me, logged out in a barn then after 1 week get back to server then shocking stuff i saw full of stuff with humvee inside,
Sounds like hackers with that amount of stuff

Code-raiding is the best because, not only do you get free loot, you also get a free base.
Unfortunately this isn’t rust and you can’t take over bases because people can just log back in from the inside

@@imana3808 I guess if you keep the code the same. But when they find their pristine M4 is gone and ammo is vanishing, they might suspect a mouse has found their way in.
Break the code, dont change it and just steal or borrow stuff when u need it😂

I've found quite a few times with the 4-dial combo locks that people use their birth year as the code quite a lot. So I usually start at 1980 and work up. Doesn't always work but definitely worth trying as I've cracked them a lot doing this!

@@kurtnewyork9374 Im always having to legitimise me playing on my PS5, unfortunately. I dont live with my three teenage boys and it’s a great way to keep in touch with them. The original Doom is still a great favourite.
My tip for bases is check the base first. I’ve broken into our own base because I noticed a wall we had built a fence on had a lip, letting me eco raid via a small roof. Check the base you are going to raid for these oversights.
Prone and shoot the frame only and the panel and frame will break for half the cost for ammo raiding

Another way is if you know someone is in the base, wait for them to come out and kill them as they are coming out. The door is wide open then lol
Or run in at the same time dropping a live grenade at the opening boom bye
This is why you build an airlock, so you close the inner door, then open the outside door.

Also try and position outside gate near cover (maybe car or shed) so you're less snipable putting code in
You are forgetting one very important thing, which is improvised spear crafting.
The most effective way to use 1 bone or one stone is to create a knive, use it till badly damaged and combine it with long stick to create a spear and use it till ruined.
With one dead player or one item that craft stones (sledge hammer or wrench) You can create a lot od spears

@@stevene8873 Imagine You found a base, in the middle of a map, You dont have a whole bunch of melee weapons but You have a sledgehammer and You want to use it for raiding.
How much damage You will deliver to the gate ?
From pristine to worn ?
If You will instead mine stones and convert them into small stones You will have around 40 stone knives, that can be used to deal damage, and before gets ruined to create a spear, that will be enough to destroy two lower halfs of the gate, You will render 2 gates useless that way !
We've watchtower raided a few spots. Including the chernarus prison, I'd give a foot to see the people's reaction when they log in, realise their goodies are gone and there's a tower outside their building 😂😂😂
Yo this works amazingly well lol. I raided a 2 fence perimeter base with barbed wire, was able to jump through where fences meet, quickly bandage up then dismantle a fence to get the truck and ada out, after loading them of course hahah
4 dial combo lock is closer to 2.5 hrs to fully go through

On a server I am currently on I keep getting in over the front gate. The best thing is that the Truck keeps giving me the door needed to get over the wall. 😂 so I pay a visit every few days and get what I need. I kinda feel bad for the dude but at the same time if you can't learn to secure your base then free gear.
additional tip: putting 2 plastic explosives inside an IED is the most effective for raiding regarding the explosive methods.
The best bases are wall-less tent cities that can be left without fear, I know of 3 such spots hehe

They should definitely make it harder to raid a base. 35minutes of sledge hammer is way too easy to get access to hours of loot storage.

This is why I have around 30 purple locked metal gates & barbed wire where possible to protect my few barrels of tier 3 diamonds 👀👍♥️😂😂😂 on that note in the morning I'll have a few more too 👍😎🤪🤣

Best raid experience was also my last on that server haha got banned because the admins had it out for us and went around their own rules. Was a five man base at the apartments above severograd. Only two were online and we had 8 guys with 4 cars. Our code breaker was fast af and we were in and out with EVERYTHING in 15 minutes. I got both kills, the first being a kill while on overwatch at a lil over 400 meter and the second being after we got in and found the second guy hiding. I was the only one banned (at least right then) because I was the only one they could prove was there because of the kills. Good times 😂

once i coderaided someone whos code was 911... the owner were online and saw the whole thing fortunately he didnt had a gun and i was able to negotiate him. i asked why is his code is 911 and he said, he can dial the number fast if he doesnt remember...
As for me, the best (the only way I've been raided 3 times and finished basing for ever) way to raid is to bruteforce the lock by consequent tries.
I can only imagine some 1mbwcile standing for hours and clicking to ruin someone else's play.
Does gas grenades or m79 gas rounds do damage to walls or gates?

Raided someone with 3 dial locks for the first time by cycling it. Pretty fun since it doesn’t take very long. I took what I wanted and locked it back up for them
My Main question, what Type of Server is this? Dont loose Amo and stuff, or is It your own can Someone explain me how to cerate a private Server and how to not loose ammo etc? I play on pc

QUESTION - I built a door in exactly the same barn structure shown with metal facing, at the 2 min mark here...
It cant be unlocked from inside...no interaction shows up. SO, has this happened to anyone else?
Absolute pain in the neck, this problem.
It's never happened to me with the gate and metal but other things, when close to other objects that are flagged.
Me and a friend toppled a base at Tisy that was set up on one of the ramps. It took us 3 trips but we just went into tisy grabbed anything explosive and just shot them from a distance. We took what we could and destroyed what remained. By server restart it you couldn't even tell a base was there
I think walls should be buffed it is too easy to raid bases in 1.19 (official servers)
It's always worth the time to raid and it is not balanced considering the time what the other spent to find a decent loot
True, you can probably raid a base quicker than the loot you can gather in it!
Absolutely agree, mate and I spend about a month building a base and just got it done to the point that we felt secure enough to go explore the map more, logged off to have dinner, came back to a raided base within a 2 hour timeframe.
Was soul crushing.. base building is just not worth the time atm. Needs more balancing

Where the hell do people get enough ammo to raid a base with firearms? I'm literally just an explorer and hoarder, I go weeks at a time without dying and usually have a few bases set up around the map. I've never had even remotely enough ammo to try and pull off a raid with firearms.

I’ve used like 10+ grenades on a normal wooden wall and there placed perfectly but not even a little damage was done? is there anything else i could be doing wrong
If it is a community server there may be no or certain times when base damage is on
I only attempt code raiding on 3 dials it sucks on PlayStation

@@RavPlays it would be interesting to see if DayZ actually included being able to damage the walls and gates by say a MS3. I’ve never thought of trying it before, but it would make sense especially if you could with your fists

I used a plastic explosive on a metal frame. And it did absolutely nothing. I went back to check the damage and it was still green. The door was in a building. But I didn’t understand why no damage happened. Confused...
Was this on an offical server? Some community servers disable raiding
Yes, official. Watched it explode and everything. Maybe it was in the wrong place? Maybe I placed in the wrong place. But it did nothing. And I just gave up. It was weird.
If it is partially hidden behind a door, ie doorway the the frame eats the damage. Use melee or shoot it

why is .357 doing so much damage to walls, while it is doing way less damage to players than all of the rifle ammo types?
Speed of the bullet is fast. A year or 2 ago the gun was insane but they had to nerf it because it was just to good in early parts of the game before you progressed inland

I have a Question . First Off LOVE The Videos. Heres My question.... So I use DZSALauncher. I think that's for Modded Servers, But Lets say I wanna P{lay regular Dayz , How do I get into a Server that has a good amount of people in it. Love this game but just don't quite understand the server thing. Tried to join but it doesn't allow me in the servers I've tried ,So That's Why I Play Modded on the DZSALauncher. But yeah man Keep the content coming Love the videos

@@kurtnewyork9374 on console with build anywhere enabled you can place garden plots everywhere. So if there is like a compound base or a base without a roof you can place garden plots in a staircase and get into the base
