Hi Zuzu I have no idea you how I came across your video but it's been great watching your videos. Mad respect for making a big change in your 30's. I was born there and moved to the states in the my early 20s. I'm now in my late 30's contemplating if I should make another big change in my life. Going home to Japan.
The giant slide was so cute! It reminded me of one that used to be in downtown Omaha (Nebraska) when I lived there in college. I love this kind of walk with me style video, it feels like we're right there exploring and experiencing with you! It makes me sad that there's so much trash now - it was only 6 years ago that I was there, and it was VERY clean (and I even in Shinjuku!).
@@ehlersdanlosandi The slide was awesome!!! You can't see it but on the other side there were both stairs and a rock formation to make the climb more interesting and fun. I love parks and that's so cool, I've been to Omaha😁 I will def do more videos just walking, I find them enjoyable to make🤓✌️
@HelloZuzu89 Small world! When I went to Tokyo, the gal checking us through immigration had been a foreign exchange student in Kearney Nebraska! I live in a tiny town called Valentine in Nebraska. It has around 2,600 people, but is semi-famous for the scenic Niobrara river. When we were in Tokyo, a tour guide misunderstood us and thought we said Alaska instead Nebraska When we said where we were from.

I enjoyed the night stroll. And I think that most stores in Harajuku close between 8 and 9pm… and if you got there around 10, that’s why everything was closed, except restaurants probably.

I had that same enthusiasm you did and had plans to stay in Japan for a while but due to family issues I was forced to return to the U.S much sooner than I had expected. In one of your videos you mentioned something about having a desire in your heart that doesn’t go away is not for nothing. Like you, always wanted to go back to Japan and finally did after 15 years, I feel the same draw to Japan. And I’m seriously considering trying again.

I need to try to get it set up😋 I don't eat dairy, I'm allergic, but that's cool that Hokkaido has some good food. There is so much great food here! Yeah, I'm honestly not sure it's just tourists though, because my area doesn't really have tourists too much. Not sure the reason for the recent litter but it sure is a shame.

Yes I absolutely love the app. It made everything so easy when using trains and convenient stores. Suica connects to your bank so you can reload it on the fly. All you have to do is just wave your phone over anything that accepts Suica. You will love it. 😊 I went back to studying kanji radicals. Really helps me with remembering and learning new Kanji. @@Jyoutei Yes that is totally a thing😭😭🤣🤣🤣 Not everywhere but yeah. A lot of places just have both English and Japanese like the restaurant I went to here. I need to make a video talking about that and at one place even though I was speaking Japanese they refused to speak in Japanese with me, brought out an English menu and the prices were INSANE. It is definitely a thing, unfortunately, so now I request a Japanese menu.
@@Kat0rine1417 Hmmm, it kind of depends on your personal learning style to be honest so you might have to try some different things and see what works best for you/what you enjoy. I always liked studying the dictionary and watching Jdrama. Other than that I bought a lot of textbooks and worked through those and now that RUclips exists you can do the lessons right along with a teacher on here. I really recommend the Minna no Nihongo books along with just searching the lessons on here for explanations☺️ Kanji is a big nuisance for learners also but it IS essential so it's best to just learn to enjoy it and write as much as you can. I keep a journal and try to use new words I learn as much as possible. Also just don't give up! It's easy to get stuck at an intermediate level, so try to push yourself. Yes, it takes years and will not happen overnight no matter how much you study. It takes time and consistency. I wish you the best of luck, Japanese is a very challenging but fun language!✌️ P.s. I'm actually going to start teaching some phrases and things on this channel soon too, so keep an eye out for that as well☺️

You know, so many people have commented on your hair you said before, but do those people not see other people in your videos? As you were walking in your video, there's people of all styles and looks, and that's what makes the world a better place. Everyone is unique in their own ways, and I wouldn't change a thing. I love the Boho Chic look. I love the colors and the vibe. Free-spirited. Anyway, I know I'm rambling, but I don't comment often. Have you ever watched Ericsurf6? He's pretty cool, and I like watching him sometimes. Apparently, he's an English teacher in Tokyo, and he's an avid surfer that grew up in Huntington Beach, Cali. Normally, I watch the Filipinas living alone and working in Japan. I've befriended a few of them. Oh, and the whale slide, so cool. I'm glad you went down twice, lol. That's what it's all about. A balance between real life and fun. I was like you, back in the late 80s and early 90s. I was spending so much time in East Malaysia, and I loved every minute of it. Kota Kinabalu is my home away from home. I wish more people had a chance to experience life in another country. Well, I'm done rambling now. Take care, stay safe, and enjoy Japan. 😊
