Can we take a moment on knowing that R. Lee Ermey aka Gunnery Sgt. Hartman from Full Metal Jacket voiced Wildcat in Batman Brave and the Bold? That is badass!
Personally, in my opinion, if they ever did a DCU project focused on Ted Grant, a.k.a. Wildcat, I’d like to think that it’s a tribute to the Rocky films but has a very different story to tell, and as for the actor who would play Wildcat, I think it’s either Sylvester Stallone or someone who looks like a boxer.
That could actually work. But I think Stallone is to old dude is almost 80 maybe someone like Dave Bautista fits the age and could have a story line of training a young protege for the wildcat we saw in stargirl
Damn he is one of my favorite characters of the JSA but sadly DC doesn't show him in an modern series or movies like YG season 4 or even the JSA movie that released this year I mean he is a famous one like Jay and Alan(but sadly doesn't have a successor)
Sadly Wildcat’s only appearances in young justice is in flashbacks and newspaper articles of the justice society. And he only appears once in person in the tie in comics at a fallen society members funeral. That’s it, no lines no nothing. Which I think is a travesty because I could totally see him trying to train the younger heroes or in this one string of episodes where Red Tornado is missing he decides to be their “den mother” for the time being like Wally be cocky and Ted knocks him down, and someone like Green Arrow be like “be careful with the old guy” or something like that.
Wildcat Evolution In British Columbia (Made Up) 01 - Justice League: Unlimited (2004-2007) 02 - Justice League: The New Frontier (2008) 03 - Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths (2010) 04 - DC Super Hero Girls (2015-2020)
Well. He technically did appear he is in flashbacks of the Justice Society and in one of the tie in comics he has a brief cameo at the funeral for Kent Nelson but it’s a blink and you’ll miss it cameo. Likely because him, red tornado, and Jay Garrick are the last surviving members of the JSA as we don’t see any of the others there nor do we have any confirmation they’re still alive.
Personally my favorite version of Wildcat is from JLU. As he feels he’s experiencing agism and not allowed to help. When it’s possible the league doesn’t want him to get killed as he doesn’t have any powers and he ain’t going to go toe to toe with someone that’d give Superman a hard time.
@@AndresHernandez-yk5im true but granted I dunno as much about Wildcat vs Captain America. But Steve Rogers (while from WW2 like Ted) he’s much younger and I’m assuming because of his powers he likely can take much harder hits and more then Ted. But regardless given his age, the dangers of the job, and his lack of powers. I can understand people like Superman and J’ohn not wanting Ted to do the more dangerous job so he doesn’t get killed, but I can understand Ted’s frustrations especially given he won’t be physically able to do this forever.
I was going to add his appearances in games but I end up leaving it out because I couldn't his appearance in the batman brave And the bold video game. So there was no point adding his other appearance in dcuo

"I need to turn up my hearing aids, cause all I hear is you sucking wind" is such a raw line, and it doesn't get enough credit.

That would actually work. He has the age, the physique, and the acting skills to portray grizzled old boxer
Wildcat/ Ted Grant is actually Immortal, and a Descendant of The Royal Knights of England, and the Only man who can stop The Gentleman Ghost
One of the greatest hand to hand combatients in the DC Universe
Ted Grant eventually filed a role similar to Captain America. They were both trainers in hand to hand fighting for their respective teams.
Although unlike Cap Ted doesn’t have any powers

It was a mantle passed down to Yolanda like Robin being passed down to who knows how many. Or The Flash having multiple people behind it.
