So many people fail this poor little baby. Her mother failed her, her family failed her and the neighbors failed her. I’m sure her neighbors heard this baby crying for hours. No one checked or call the police. I heard neighbors being interviewed on another video where they state the mother left the baby alone often. Why didn’t those neighbors report her to child services? I can’t understand.

Correct. When I heard a baby crying in my building, for what seemed like a few hours, I actually went and knocked on the door. I was prepared to call the police as well but the mom was able to calm the baby down. Its absolutely insane to hear a baby crying FOR DAYS and not get suspicious.

From what I know, the parents of the monster mom did not know she went on vacation, and one of her neighbors said I. A TIKTOK that she had taken care of that baby before, and she said it was for a week. The mother did not show up until a month later. So, she had done that before. 😢

I can tell you what it's like to suffer from dehydration and not eating. I don't know this baby but as a nurse. I know exactly what this little one suffered. I don't know this baby, but my heart goes out to that little angel. I am so full of hurt knowing that another woman. Able to bear children can do that to their own children and then turned around and claimed I was de press half. My body was numb. They gave me depacaine. I did not understand the instruction but can go on vacation for a 10 days and now return for 12 days. And you want me to believe that she was too de.Press.Ed, who the hell do you think you are kidding?Not all of us are a stupid low as her family.Not all of us are buying what you're selling.Sir.I know that you are doing your job as your lawyer.But even you should have principle and this is not a dependable case

I have a 14 month old and I feel like I’m going through some anxiety & depression, but at ANY moment have I thought of hurting my baby girl under ANY circumstances, as a matter of fact I feel even MORE overprotective of her because I want the absolute best for her. Which is why i seek therapy. This “person” if I can even call her that is pure evil in flesh.

I liked how he stood up to shake hands with the two law officers after their statements.
No one wants to defend anyone who murdered a baby especially the way she did. Sadly someone had to do it. Not bc the wanted to, but bc someone has to give her a fair trail if it was requested. Lawyers are ALL friends, don't ever think they're not, most are. Many went to school together and alot of the time it's like a secret game of who can win. So no surprise that they shook hands. Probably had lunch together afterwards. Don't forget they all get paid regardless by the state. Everyone is happy to put this evil monster behind bars.

Unfortunately the baby safe haven laws only protect newborns not older children. You can be prosecuted for abandonment if you do this with a child of any other age. Honestly we need new laws for people to be able to surrender a child of ANY age safely and offer them mental health help for reunification if that’s what they want… and if they never want to see their child again, so be it!

Me too. I felt all of the times I’ve struggled with hunger pains and just broke inside imagining a tiny baby feeling all alone with that kind of horrible stomach pain 😢 that has to be one of the worst ways to go, especially for a little baby. I’m so angry and sad for her.

If the mother was so incapable of caring for the child that the grandparents had to check on her every day, then the mother had no business having that child in her care. Social services should have taken the child away, if the grandparents had to look in every day on the child. Obviously the system wasn't aware of the problem or had the problem downplayed by the mother, so the child was allowed to remain in the custody of the mother. It was up to the mother to let SS know that she wasn't capable of taking responsibility , and had her child put into foster care or adopted by family.

This broke my heart to hear. I can't believe that she tried to use anxiety and depression for her defense, I have suffered from these since I was a teenager, and I have never left my child alone. I don't believe her excuse, I see it for what it is, just an excuse. She is getting off better than that little baby. She got off with her life, that's more than her daughter got from her 😢😢😢
That little girl had NO ONE. How horrifying. The part where the lady pointed out that the only ones who cared enough to show up were the first responders, I just crumbled. All of her family are disgusting excuses for humans.
Her fellow inmates won't exactly be befriending her. Wouldn't be surprised if they consistently took her food from her. Even the most hardened take offense at starving a child.
Those women will handle her trust me. My mother went to prison for 8 years in my childhood. And not a day went by where she didn’t cry about us or write us. Most of those women locked up with her will be mothers themselves who would give a limb to see their kids again. They have no heart for those who hurt children especially mothers who hurt their own children. I’m guessing they will keep her alive, wishing she wasn’t. Until they put her in solitary that is.
You'd be surprised in prison. It's not like the movies, if you've never been. I did 8 straight years, my first offense. It's not what you think....And, I did my time in Ohio, where she's from.
You can clearly see that her own lawyer wants to be on the other side of the courtroom... He's truly struggling with the position of having to defend this animal & even more so to sit within close proximity of it.

There are no comparison between you leaving your dog for 6 hours and leaving a child for 6 towers. None you cannot compare a child to a dog or a cat. A child needs the protection of its mother unless your dog is a brand new born. A day older. So dogs have more love from humans than human children do. So are you telling me that the life of a dog is more important than the life of a child? I don't feel guilt when I leave my dog for 6 hours or 8 hours to go to work. I don't because my dog knows that I will return home and the neighbor's note. Should I not be home? They can take care of my dog. While I'm at work after 8:09 hours. So the parents of this young woman took the 7 yr. old grandchild, but not the baby. They had the 7 yr. old all that time & were never concerned about all those days not seeing the baby? Notice how they pan to the defendant right after hearing the Ring cam of her baby crying as she’s dying, and she has not ONE tear. Not just that, but a look of disdain. Yet has to take time to calm down from crying right before her statement of allocution. All about HER and she does NOT care about anyone else besides herself.

Such a terrible reprobate of a human. Life without the possibility of parole is a just sentence for her. She didn't shed a tear listening to the desperate cries of her dying child on audio but she cried when she heard her own voice calling 911. She won't ever be going home like she thought.

What did she think was going to happen? The baby would just be sitting there waiting all clean,healthy and well and fill up on 2 bottles after 10 days! I feel guilty about leaving my cat when I go away and constantly worry if his feeder will malfunction.,depression and anxiety dosent drive someone to kill a baby,I wish the neighbours could have heard her cries,the grandparents-have mercy? This country gives her a chance, she flushed it down the toilet. She did not cry when the ME and the detectives talked about the horrific death of Jailyn, she only cried for herself. Yes, lock her up in jail and throw away the key.
Watching her sit there with no emotion as the prosecution spoke but then seeing her cry for herself during her attorney’s speech makes me physically ill.
I will say that I feel like her defense attorney did the best he could with what he had to do. I think he was as respectful as possible while advocating for his client.
And not one tear while listening to how her daughter died caused by her mother

I never say this but I feel sorry for her attorney. Just the horror of the pictures, her explanation, the autopsy has to leave images that would be hard to forget. I hope she goes to jail for a long time.

This is the correct sentence, IMO. She seems to have no feelings or remorse. She might have tried to express something on her own behalf, but it didn't come across as sincere or heartfelt. People around her had helped her. She chose to hide her trip for a vacation and just pretend the discover her daughter dead, knowing full well what truly happened. Animals do care for their young, and this animal did not. RIP Jailyn.
I agree. She had lots of emotion and tears for HERSELF but absolutely none for her baby and the agony and suffering she inflicted on that child. Watch her face when they played the ring doorbell video of Jailyn's last agonizing screams and cries; she was 100% STONE FACED. That even made me cry but she didn't have one single tear or emotion for her dying daughter. UNBELIEVABLE.

I've watched TONS, and I mean TONS of true crime videos on RUclips. Horrific ones, incredibly sadistic ones, and truly sad ones. Including every single available video of the Chris Watts footage in it's entirety. When they played the Ring video of that innocent baby crying I genuinely teared up. First time I've EVER cried while watching anything crime related on RUclips. This is legitimately horrific. I'm genuinely offended that the death penalty wasn't on the table in this case smh.

Absolutely horrific 😢 I don't understand the thought process. I heard at the time neighbors often cared for the little girl, why didn't she leave her with someone. I have a 7 kids, my youngest is 22 months and I carry her everywhere with me. I can't imagine putting her in this situation 😢 Don't have children if you aren't going to love and care for them. Even in death she had nobody. Nobody showed up to talk in court. The grandparents spoke only of the mom and sat on her side of the court, they were not there for the baby!Thank goodness for the law enforcement who have taken the role ❤
