This woman is disgjsting. Your comment is well stated. She literally destroyed a promising young man's life. All these people speaking on her behalf are all well and good, but anyone who repeatedly gets behind the wheel drunk is NOT a good person. I hope her victim can recover to his fullest. If this woman is entitled, the victim should sue her for everything she has.

THIS IS A TRAGEDY. I DIDNT EVEN HIT ANYBODY. I JUST HIT A PARK CAR. I WENT TO JAIL FOR A YEAR. 52 AA Meetings. 100 hrs at Red Cross and community service. For my first offense. Back 1990-1992. This is unbelievable. I never had a DWI AGAIN. I WAS 18 at the time. Jus got my DL 6 months before. So u see why I’m so angry at this judge. You don't have to be in health care to know that you should'nt drink and drive. Everybody who holds a drivers license knows this. Alcohol is addictive just like drugs. You would'nt believe stress level that nurses and administrators and aides work under, and you would'nt believe how many of them drink and some drive. She had been battling alcohol before the accident said a friend in one letter written. Alcoholism hits anybody. Your place of employment does'nt stop it. When you're drunk like she was, all rationality is out the window. Being an alcoholic is a disease.

I still don’t understand or like how plea bargains are given for cases that have so much evidence that it’s for sure going to be a guilty verdict giving the defendant a harsh punishment. Instead giving them a plea that slaps the victim/s in the face and allows the defendant to practically get away with their crimes. It angers me, especially when the victim/s are forced to suffer for a lifetime.

This is why many people continue their horrible actions of drinking and driving….eventually killing others (especially those with privileged lifestyles that can afford the best defense). so it's mitigating that she lost her sister to a drunk driver?? stupid attorney.
it makes it worse. she lost her sister. then got her 1st dui. then got her second dui. .... still didn't realize there's something wrong with what she's doing. so she got in the car with a bac of 0.3(!!!!) and pretty much killed someone.
i didn't hear one mitigating word.
btw, according to a certain statistics, you need to drive 60 times while under the influence to be caught once. ... so 3 dui's would mean 180 times driving drunk. this is a person who has been doing this regularly, despite previous dui's and also despite the death of her sister.
so what's mitigating again? someone help me understand this sentence.

Are you kidding me? 115 mph? 2 priors for the same offense?
    She gets 12 only months?
Something is wrong with the way they sentence ppl up north.
She has to be very, very wealthy!
Only the extremely wealthy walk like that in the south. If that were me, I'd be in prison for many, many years.
Unfair and wrong. Y'all's judges are too lenient and liberal.

Is she overwrought only because she she got caught this time ? I'm sure her two didn't cause her alarm to Wake Her UP ! Her Previous Moving Violations (28) didn't set off any internal ALARMS either !
So sad that Someone with such a bright future🕯️was innocently placed in her path of destruction.
😅I note it's when people are caught and see the magnitude of their offense right in front of them as TRUTH , do they react . I'm so surprised by the judge's blinders . Maybe he couldn' t get past the crutches she had on display. I felt she used them as a crutch with a totally different meaning here .( I'm helpess, weak , I need you for support ) .
I trully hope she faces her demons and her friends with truths she has lied and deceived them for years . Who will be there when she is released now that they are aware of her driving history ? Will they get into a car with her or let her borrow their car ?
I really don't think they knew her at all . Now they do !
My ❤ goes to this victim alone ! He spoke only about facts related to his condition , timeline and future , and impact on his life goals , plans and dreams being altered , not forgotten . What an inspiration 🕯️.. Says so much aboht his family's dedication to his best recovery ,✨.

A passion for recklessness, she shouldn't be drinking and driving, no excuse, no sympathy or pity. She still needs at least a few years of prison time, not a pat on the back, or a slap on the wrist.

Should be a felony, up to $10,000 fine, and jail/prison time!

HOW can she ONLY get 12 month? Burglars get years in jail ! She should have gotten much more jailtime , her license revoked for life! Much more fine to pay ! Etc etc etc etc ! If she was that careing individual her brother in law claims her to be, she never would drunk drive and even worse the 3rd time !!! She nearly killed that young man, she ruined his life and future! He might never be able to work and support himself, never be able to have a career as he planed to get... if this woman would be really remorseful she would give up her DL freely herself ! And she would raise a gofondmepage for that young man she nearly killed! It is embarrassing how many people speak on her behalf as SHE would be a victim ! These collagues of her say they all prayed and pray for his full recovery... HE and his parents already stated that he wont recover fully and will have to deal with his injurys for the rest of his life... Justice was not served here in my opinion ! She cries only for herself and not for what she has done to this young man!

Well all her witnesses to her character really pumped her up good they left no wiggle room for this woman to even be in a bad mood. No one on this planet is that good. She has a lot to live up to and she may go out of her mind. Her driving under the influence such as that was it was a choice not* a mistake ‼️ I think she needs to leave the victim alone so he can go on with his life and quit looking at her face, because it will always remind him of that dreadful day when someone decided to drive an automobile intoxicated. And that's not very caring, (is it!)?

Horrific accident, and she's lucky to be alive. I had a small collision in stop and go traffic, and I injured my chest. I still have visions of seeing my whole body lift from my seat, and hitting the steering wheel, and I had a seatbelt that malfunctioned. Seeing that car in this video brought back my own accident. I hope this young man won a huge lawsuit.
