I don't think there's anything "ugly" about everyday life: it's perfectly normal to do chores! I actually enjoy doing dishes, laundry and puttering about. There's something very calming about creating order!
As a Nutritionist, I do worry a bit about seeing you two often saying that you get so tired and crash during the day. Vegans sometimes need to get blood tests to monitor your ferritin, B12, vit D and whatnot. I want you to be well and happy ❤❤
This is very true I do think this is just a more realistic side of Vanlife. Of course you need to cause a little drama with the titles to get RUclips to promote your videos thus the “ugly.”
We’ve actually both recently gotten blood tests done and are within normal ranges on everything (and have fixed a few things that came up a few years ago before going vegan). I think one of the reasons we are sometimes tired in the videos is because it takes a fair amount of extra energy for us to film them! We’re both very introverted and quiet normally. 😊 Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the video. 🫶🏻

We adore you both. The best part of the week is seeing your new content, it truly is an escape from our life in a busy city. You guys have so much patience with each other living in a very small space. We relate to this because we live in a tiny apartment and it honestly always feels like a lot of time is spent cleaning because things really do get cluttered fast, we also hate doing laundry. We can only imagine what it’s like in a van. Even though it may seem exhausting at times, you guys still make it look like it’s a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing your routines, good food, good vibes, and for keeping it real. After watching your video we got really hungry and now craving some truffle chips. We can’t wait to see you again next week!
P.S. We will now make sure to always walk around holding a Starbucks while shopping in Target 🤭

You constantly have to clean when you live in a house too. It’s a pain also.

A bigger place and more stuff allow for more clutter in both your place AND mind 😉.
On a more personal level (fell free yo ignore), ive noticed the lack of energy (by both comments you guys made and general observation) and.. after watching your meals, have you considered a lack of proteins and/or b vitamins?
I know you're into veganism of some sort, but thats issues that seem to creep up after a long stretch into this way of eating.
If limited animal products like eggs (which are packed with b vitamins and proteins) cant be in the cards (you have your reasons) , finding a good b vitamins supplement and finding way to add more protein might help?

Living in a van is harder then i thought you have to do a lot of cleaning and I am bad at cleaning.
This chanle is rely helping me a lot for building my own van thank you.
Yes! It’s very easy to make a big mess in the van but also east to clean so I guess it works out pretty well.
You all get so exhausted but live the live so many dream of .... traveling. Don't have rent or many bills... And making money of people watching...Easy peezy
Yeah, I get where you are coming from but also think it can be beneficial for other people to see days like this if they are thinking about it. As great as it is there’s a lot of work you have to do to keep up with it!

Since you guys are in the PWN during the rainy/drizzle/cloudy season, I suggest y’all get vitamin D supplements and a led SAD lamp. It would help with fatigue.
We actually left a few days after filming this since we need to get back to the east coast before long but this is good to know for the future! It was pretty dreary out there.

Yes! We quite enjoy it as well. It’s very cool to be able to change our environment but keep our home the same in new places! 😊

Grocery outlet is good but 10 minutes north of that store is Trader Joe’s. Of course as usual, TJ’s parking sucks.
We didn’t end up going to TJs but have heard about it and the terrible parking so much hahaha!

Im getting a travel trailer soon and am getting a 2 in 1 washer/dryer. I just found out about these watching tiny homes videos.
Yeah unfortunately we don’t have space for something like that in this van! It also uses water and we are very rarely parked with hookups so we wouldn’t want to use our water that often. That’ll be nice though!

I looooved the video! I like the reality of van life. It is challenging but exciting. I used to live in an RV with my husband and the two kids and I know it gets messy really quick!! lol
Playing devil's advocate: When a challenging event happens in my life, I greatly crave the normalcy of everyday tedious tasks. Especially reset days b/c somehow something being right is better than the tough event. I hold onto that clarity and use it to motivate myself to get things done and enjoy the easiness of life.
We actually quite enjoy the routines of everyday life as well. We used to travel very quickly and have since started spending about 2-3 weeks in one place before moving on. This allows us to establish some routine and do these chore days etc. Thanks a lot for watching our video and taking the time to comment. It means a lot to us. 😊🫶🏻

What’s the little white box you’re tapping at 9:45? Os that a home safety system?
It’s a SimpliSafe system! It has entry sensors, glass break, smoke detectors and temp and water sensors so we can keep an eye on everything while we are away. ☺️

Alll the time. As a matter of fact Sasha has been going out in that little park at the beginning of the video and meeting dogs! Unfortunately a lot of people leave their dogs off leash though so I rarely bring the camera to record since we have to watch for dogs that may run over!

This can be a challenge for sure! We will probably include a lot of this in the next few videos since we are doing a pretty large trip across the country and need to get a lot of work done while we drive!

Wondering how hard it is to find somewhere to dump grey water? You said the campground dump station was closed for the season - and you were saving those chores for the next day - but didn't say how you ended up dumping the grey tank :)
We were planning to drive out of Bellingham the next day! We ended up finding a place about 2 hours away. We have a 30 gallon gray tank so it lays quite a while for this very reason!

11:23 there are machines that wash and then dry. I saw that some Chinese manufacturer has a small washer in their campervans even small ones.

Growing up we traveled in an old scool bus with 4 adults and 10 kids 😅😅😅 we had all the van life chores. So i appreciate you sharing what the "non-glamourous" aspects looks like so younger individuals know the whole picture prior to jumping in with both feet. ❤❤❤
It can’t all be fun and games. The truth is we usually try to have a lot of fun even on days like this. It’s one of the things you have to do to live like this so it’s totally worth it!

Thank you so much! So glad you enjoy the videos. 😊 Yes! We do have a simplisafe system and we did use it in Canada but had to connect it to our Starlink network. We usually use it on its own service which did not work internationally.
