    ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
In video #11 in my series on Estrangement, we further explore the topic of ESTRANGEMENT. Are you wondering how to move on from estranged family? Estrangement is when one is emotionally and or physically distant from one or more family members.
Approximately 27% of the U.S. population are estranged and are familiar with its uncertain and ambiguous nature. Estrangement differs from the loss of a relationship as in death, there are no ceremonies, and often well-meaning others misunderstand what havoc estrangement brings.
Whether you desire reconciling or no future contact, it is challenging to carry on usually. In addition, you may experience waves of challenging, intense emotions.
Being estranged from family is a painful and complicated condition. Naturally, the estranged desires the ability to move on. This article discusses How To Move On From Family Estrangement and Three Keys to What To Do To Move On From Estranged Family.
Estrangement can be miserable. One piece of estrangement that gets in the way of “getting over” is being stuck in intense emotions. Getting over does not necessarily mean we don’t ever hope to improve our relationship and believe that reconciliation is possible. If that is what you want, we move on by living again.

My whole life my entire family alienated me and I was estranged from them all. It mostly had to do with narcissist controlling money. They wanted to push me out of the family.

Thanks for these videos........I thought I was alone. I am devestated, heart broken, sad, feel guilty, and everything in between. My daughter is so wrapped up in her church, so brainwashed, that she has totally not even seeing that it is so sad to all the family that raised her. Her "new" family is a handful of people, including her pastor husband, all from the church. Very controlling and has ate her soul away...now they are trying to get my youngest teen daughter into this game and blame me for everything..........

Projection much, estrangement happens because of entitled Baby Boomer who likes to control everything.

My grandma just died that year and i wasn't so emotionally stable back then, got super abusive to my sister, said hurtful shit, messed up shit. Been three years, i went to therapy, apologised, even begged for her forgiveness. Still no reply. It's hard when it gives me nightmares at night sometimes. Really, i wish I could turn back time and punch myself..

As the relatively new estranger to my estranged sister - my heart hurt to read that.
Yes my sister hurt me, but I could never wish to harm her in the way that you are hurting.
This sounds more like you are eating yourself up inside because you can't forgive yourself.
That's the thing about being wronged. When you're a victim you can process and grieve what happened to you - you can ultimately realize that it wasn't your fault as you can't control anyone else's actions but your own no matter how provoking you may have been. In the end, the aggressor has to take responsibility for and pay the price for something they can't take back, can't replace, can't return and can't fix from the present.
It is a smothering and traumatic kind of existential helplessness just floating in limbo hoping the other to set you free.
But really, it doesn't matter how many keys your sister has on her belt or even turns in the lock if you don't even feel deserving of living outside of the cage.
It is not so much that your sister must forgive you, but rather, take these emotions as guides to discover these harmful (sub)concious beliefs that you have about yourself and/our the world that aren't rooted in reality and do not serve you.
This estrangement has "validated" so traumatic belief you have that needs to be addressed. Some deep shame or guilt - that who you want to be didn't match up with how you were that you are hollowing yourself out over and seeking external validation to negate.
With understanding comes love, acceptance, ease and growth - that is a gift that only you can give to yourself, not your sister - shs has her own selfwork to sort out.
      Light and Love 🙏🏽❤️😊

Where do I go to break free from the extensive emotional and harmful abuse I have had for 48 years. The verbal abuse, blaming me for things I didn’t do, giving my stuff away, eating and drinking things I buy. Bought doughnuts last week and she begged me for one and I had one doughnut left. I went out and when I came back she ate it. I was so angry and upset. She didn’t care. She is doing this constantly I hate it. Yesterday she called me stupid and told me to shut up. I hate her. I can’t live under these bad circumstances she even is on the bully psychotic neighbors side not mine. One ruining her lawn with their dogs waste and trespassing on her property even almost had her dog killed by their dogs. She waved to him this psycho neighbor is evil and ruined her lawn, almost killed her dog. She is truly psychotic too. I can’t cope with this anymore.
