My son and I each pre ordered onewheel's when they came out with the XRs. 100s of miles later, NO REGRETS! best purchase I have ever made. We have so much fun on them, on and off road. WE ride them everywhere, every chance we get. Even built a onewheel track on our 2 acre property!!
Just got my Onewheel XR...had it for 20 min and sprained my wrist and elbow...Still riding it everyday because it is amazingly fun and I am working up towards riding it close to 15 a day for commuting purposes! So far it has been worth it to me!

@@LBS-33-33 it's close but nothing can recreate the carve. You heel toe to turn and "carve" and it does feel like snowboarding to a degree. I would say it's more like riding in deep powder. The feel is unique to the onewheel. I did finally hit the pavement from a nosedive! Not cool but not stopping me either!!

Just sitting at the park waiting for my one wheel board charge. Best money I’ve ever spent in my life. My buddy called me about a year ago and showed me a video of the new Onewheel board he got. One hour later I met him at the park with my new Onewheel board. It was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen and had to have one. I have been snowboarding my entire life and nothing feels quite the same like riding my one wheel board. I live in Arizona so it is a little harder to get to the snow. Boat with my Onewheel board it is perfect powder every day the streets and whatever else there is to conquer. I have not stopped writing it since I bought it and cherish it more than anything. People ask me if it’s easier? I tell them if you have a little balance, a little athleticism, a little stupid, and a little crazy then it’s for you. Love it love the videos.
Hey, great video, you are entertaining! Is it worth the price? who knows, at 50 I bought an electric skateboard and it is great, but you need smooth pavement. So at 51 I bought the one wheel- great for balance, and goes ANYWHERE! That is the cool part. Trail riding. Runs forever.

I got my first Onewheel 2 weeks ago (xr plus). Rode 47km and ended up with broken elbow :(, and now I have to ship it back for repairs. The onewheel just turned of at 15kmt and will not go on again. I flew like superman into the payment. I live in Turkey so really sad to have to send it back after 47km of riding, but still I cant wait for my next ride hehe

Then I fell and tore my ACL. 30k in Hospital bills, 8 months of recovery. The one question I got asked constantly was if I was going to get back on the board. HELL YES. I love my Onewheel.
I broke my ACL doing other shit than skateboarding. Meniscus too. got surgery and everything. 2 months into recovery and I just cant wait to get back on a skateboard, wakeboard, snowboard, etc. Boards are just life man!
i found out real quick that wrist guards are a must. Only been riding 4 days and about 60 miles and ive already had a slow speed "get off" that has me icing my wrist. still beats the hell out of the subway, love this thing. you should really try the Hoosier wheel, it's much better than the stock

I was researching these and watched a video on another RUclips channel. In the comments there were quite a few guys well into their 60's that either have one or are getting one. I'm almost 61. This weekend I bought a Honda Ruckus to ride around town on, grocery shop and to haul with me in my truck so I can explore when I go camping. The OneWheel will soon be joining it. We only live once, I work hard so I can play harder.

Been 5 weeks since I hurt some tendons in my elbow nose diving off my buddy's one wheel. Today I confirmed the order of my very own. Im beyond pumped. Finally something that gives me the same sensation of snowboarding without the snow. There are finance options now with no interest starting at $55 a month.
I so want a one wheel but it’s just too much money and extremely hard to justify for most people. And honesty not hating on you Jesse but it seems to me most of the youtubers using them got them for free. 🤔🙄

Okay ... I hate to do this to you (or anyone), but I have no choice. I don't care about all the fun things you do on the onewheel. What I want to know is ... how practical is the onewheel for my own purpose. Which is? . To go fetch gasoline for my ... airplane! Say what? You see, I just bought a tiny little side-by-side 2-seat airplane. The main purpose is to fly low and slow down canyons or mountain valleys, past spires (think Monument Valley), land on mountaintops and mountain ridges for picnic lunch ... that kind of thing. But eventually, I need to go find fuel. I almost never land at an airport that hosts jets (even tiny jets). In fact, much of the time I just land on grass lawns, dirt roads, long driveways, sand bars along rivers, empty fields, or one of the 20,000+ tiny little airstrips scattered around the world that regular folks never see (and might not even recognize is there for tiny airplanes if they took a walk down the "runway"). And so, the following is what sometimes happens when I need to find fuel. I visually scout from the air, with naked eye or sometimes with binoculars, for gas stations where I can land on the road and pull into the gas station. Sometimes works, sometimes can't find one that convenient. In which case I find a gas station with a lawn or field or dirt-road or something I can land on nearby (need about 100+ feet of straightaway, more at higher elevations). When I land, the hassle is dragging two empty 5~10 gallon fuel bladders to the gas station, which might be 100 feet away... or a few miles away in the worst cases. Getting to the gas station is the easier part, because the fuel bladders are empty and smaller (collapsed), but still no fun if the distance is very far. The harder part is getting back to the airplane with two awkward fuel bladders full of gasoline (5~10 gallons each == 35 to 70 pounds each). I checked out those manual and electric bikes that be folded and disassembled, but they just barely fit or don't fit through the hole into my cargo area. Which brings us to these onewheel gizmos. They will definitely fit through the hole into the cargo area, and consume a lot less volume than those bikes. So my main question is... are they practical to haul two 5~10 gallon fuel bladders (basically thick rubber bags) roughly the size and shape of those red "jerry jugs" that are common for carrying gasoline in or to cars. Except the fuel bladders have more rounded edges. They all have handles and some have clips for shoulder straps. Forget the fun! The airplane is my fun. The question is, are they stable and reliable enough for my purpose (once I have 5 or 10 hours practice riding the suckers). And do remember your answer needs to take into account hauling those two heavy fuel bladders while you ride. So, all you experts out there. Works easily? Might work? Totally crazy? Maybe more important ... what else might be better? Remember though, needs to be small to fit through the hole into the cargo area. The solution should be as lightweight as possible, because every extra pound of weight slightly reduces the performance of the airplane. Oh, and cheap-as-possible would be nice too.
So I’ve carried multiple heavy suitcases at once and it can do it, but the more weight you add to the bird the more careful you have to be of overpowering the motor. The board balances based on center of gravity so depending on how you carry the jugs and move them around it may or may not work. The XR would be the only one worth considering (IMO) but maybe even something like the new boosted scooter and hang one on each side of the handle bar? I’d find a shop that carries them and test it out.
Dude, after watching this vid last year I bought an XR. & now almost a year later I came back to say it's so totally worth it. Like you said, I use it for everything, small errands, small grocery shopping, work, play.... all of it. I love it & I honestly look forward to the future of OneWheel.

First ride, twisted ankle and couldn't wait to get back on. I'll never forget my first big slam on the onewheel, I had gotten over-confident as well! Was smashing along full speed and didn't see a pothole, I must have bounced 15 feet. Was bruised up for like 4 months. Wrist guards and helmet saved me from the worst though!
Hey dude! You got a new sub here, loved the video! Story time! For the first time ever, I rode an offriad segway a bit more than a year ago, right after i got off the damn thing i knew i don't want to drive to work anymore. Too bad the price was out of my range. (10k USD, Ouch.) Dug around online, discovered the world of electric skateboards, monowheels, mini segways and The Onewheel ofc. Been torn between all these alternative transportation electric vehicles for a while, got myself a chinese electric skateboard from a local retailer (total disappointment), but eventually coughed up the $ for a Boosted. The Onewheel was and still is a close second for me, but there is zero offroading in my city and i definitely benefit more from the higher top speed. People get outraged when they hear the price of the Boosted, what they don't realize, is I'm trusting this thing with my life Every Single Time i get on it. It's not a toy, and i'm gladly paying the price for it's durability and reliability. For me, the worst part of my day was sitting in traffic, seeing my life waste away was replaced by a crazy fun adrenaline rush. I'm 100% on the same page as you are with your OW, the enjoyment on top of being the fastest way possible getting to and from work and generally get around town is just a combo that I'm gladly paying premium for. Best purchase i've ever made and I honestly feel sorry for anyone who never gets to try and enjoy one of these things.

I first saw someone riding a Onewheel at a festival in 2017 and thought it was some sort of home made festival transportation gadget. A year later I discovered they were an actual product, designed 30 miles away and made in my hometown of San Jose. This was the first video I watched that really sold me on the Onewheel and finally, 3 years later, I have one coming my way.

Just bought a one wheel + one month ago. Used it every day since, I go to a big college and my campus is huge so getting to and from class is now effortless even up some steep hills.
I'm seeing these pop up in Japan now, where I commute by longboard. Now, I use Sharkwheels with ceramic bearings, so I can go through snow, rain and puddles with no issue or loss of traction, but seeing you go through grass, mud and over sand is making me pretty envious!
Fuck yea it's worth it. 600 miles on mine and I ride fast and only one bad crash and it was my fault. So many people tarnish the Onewheels reputation because they fail to do the research and read the manual and learn how the board works so they blame the device when really 90% of crashes are user error. Many people who crash and talk bad on it have no idea what they are doing and probably never did any board sports in their whole life.
I visited with family a couple Sundays ago....the kids pressured me into trying the OneWheel XR.... I’m 39, 6’3” 210 lbs, never been on a skateboard... I fell in love and had my own OneWheel XR delivered 5 days later. I’ve been on it every day since and it has no problem with the steep hills in my neighborhood. Worth the money? Absolutely. Cons: I ordered the fender at the same time and still have yet to receive it, for that amount of money they coulda figured out a way to ship it all together. If you are learning, it’s likely you’ll get some wheel burn on your ankles at some point without the fender.... and living in the Pacifc NW, the wheel spray drenches the legs/shoes in a hurry. I’m pretty annoyed that I don’t have the f’ing fender yet. That said, I’ve been fantasizing about riding it all morning.... it’s still dark out.... gonna hit the OneWheel before the rain begins.
I’ve wanted one for AGES. As a former snowboard instructor the idea of getting around town on one of these is heaven. But. In the UK we have a law that makes them ‘illegal’ that dates back from legit 1800’s. I’d want to use it to commute to my office, but I can’t. And what’s more annoying? The ONLY shop in the ENTIRE country that sells them - is less than 3 miles from my house. :/

Everything you’ve said about the Onewheel is on point! If anyone is still wondering, yes! It is worth every penny! I take it everywhere with me. Any chance I get, I ride it. It goes on planes with me, on trails, to the store. I even rode my Onewheel to the hospital after I wrecked on the Onewheel. I have fun cars, fun motorcycles, however, I still have more fun riding the Onewheel XR than any of those other things. One last thing to say about the Onewheel. ITS THE MOST FUN YOU CAN HAVE WITH YOUR CLOTHS ON. (That’s legal)

Hah! This story sounds very familiar. Got my OneWheel XR Plus a few weeks ago...a little overly confident the first few days out. Crash and Burn at 20+mph (no broken bones...just some road rash). Let's just say I won't be pushing the boards limits...but, still love the OneWheel. Also, will be riding with some protective gear. Want to be ready for snowboarding this winter. Great vid- slow but entertaining. Here's the deal- if you're asking the question he poses, freaking yes...YES> I am a 6'3" 265Lb dork. I race motorcycles, ride road bicycles, drive fast cars on tracks etc. All the first world expensive sports. I spend shit tons of disposable income playing and enjoying life. Lucky me, yes. Here's the deal. I dont surf, snow board or skateboard. have done a few times but not my gig. I saw this, at a racetrack where a dude was using it in the pits to get around. A few peeps I know got them. (older versions) I asked and was told its very hard...eff it. I ordered it, paid overnight freight, got it yesterday, this video was still on my screen since I ordered it. Yesterday eve I spent 15 minutes on the carpet in the house, and put on my backpack. I went outside, with my phone, wallet, the charger everything. I rode it thorugh the city, parks, all over and went downtown, and had to plug in to charge it. It was a 100% riot. RIDICULOUSLY RAD. i carve like i'm on a GS course, all terrains, fell once, in my driveway, at the end of 16 miles for my first ride...mostly because my calves were lazy and shredded ! BUY ONE. Thanks bro, you inspired this purchase!
As an 18 year old with a decent paying food industry job not having to pay too many bills, I really want one of these. And I can see it being really useful and even more fun. Unfortunately I really have to save my money for getting a new laptop and moving out so I doubt I will get one anytime soon but the day will hopefully, at some point. I so badly want a Onewheel - for transport and fun; but also, as a snowboard instructor, to keep my movements, muscles and balance tuned between seasons... sadly the price (particularly when you factor in import and taxes outside the US) makes it a pipe dream instead of a budgetable priority, particularly as it’s unclear how welcome Onewheels would be on airplanes, and travel is part of a snowbums job. Anyway, keep it up, I’ll live vicariously through you and a other youtubers until I hit the jackpot somehow!

But, I don't have one, and this could fit into my current lifestyle now that I am a student again. Have had my eye on the OneWheel for 6 months. $1800 is steep, but I NEED SOMETHING...I need to capture that fun you show in the offroad segment in the video. I snowboard but have been a flatlander (Indiana resident) for toooo long. This weekend I was in downtown Indianapolis at a wedding and a OneWheeler rolled by, I was like a kid in a candy store! He let me ride it for a minute, despite my obvious inebriation. Good on that guy! Just need to hit up the Plasma center for a year!!!! Ha!

Oh yesh. I have a OneWheel+ XR, and it is *all of those things* you described. Especially 'obscenely fun'. I ride less trails and more 'paved' paths - but that's because I ride this thing like it's my 'summer snowboard'. So sweet to roll a slow carve from one side of a path to the other. Instead of a new laptop this year, it was an XR, and it's *already* been well worth it.
I have never skateboarded in my life, I have always wanted to but I didn’t. Once I saw an ad for the Onewheel on RUclips I fell in love with it. I’m currently saving up for my first XR and cannot wait for the day when I can open the box🤤. I’m just enamored by the technology of this creation and think about it every day. But of course adulting and trying to get into our first house puts the brakes on this, lol. Once I get my own I will post a video to share with you my same feelings for this mind blowing experience I know I will have. Take it easy and shred safely brother.

So... I am excited to say my xr is coming tomorrow. I've wanted one wheel since the day they came out I just couldn't afford one couldn't pay the cash upfront too heavy of a hit so you know what I did is started working on my credit. And I figured if I can get financed It would help me build my credit because eventually I'm going to buy a motorcycle like real soon and I'll need to finance that as well. So PayPal was the first place to give me a credit card and then I signed up for a secured credit card and now I've got four credit cards with a decent limit and my credit score has improved enough to get financed for a one-wheel. The long wait is about over! Your video is great man. Looking forward to carving all these trails in northern CA. !
My story is similar. I started with a Segway MiniPro that I scored on eBay for 120 bucks. It’s been great and I take it everywhere. But now that it has proven that I can, and will, replace my car with an electric scooter, I am anxious to trade up to the OneWheel. I rabidly watch eBay hoping to get a deal, but I am continuously adding to my 20-bucks-every-day-I-can-afford-it savings system planning to get a brand new one. Hopefully there will be one with an even larger range by the time I have the money together.
Have you considered an electric unicycle like the Inmotion V8 or the Gotway Tesla? They can be significantly cheaper than the OW and are better all-around commuter devices.

Dude! I just got a OneWheel and the same thing happened to me on my first ride. Blood and a left knee the size of a grapefruit. I’m pretty sure it’s OW’s initiation process just to make sure us riders are worthy of its epicness!
hahaha sorry to hear! I try and explain to people that it really is its own beast. Almost like riding a horse, you need to master it and know exactly how it behaves before you start pushing its limits. I don't fear nose dives or unexpected bails at all anymore, but i'm also several thousand KMs in.
JesseDriftwood it certainly is its own beast which is why I wanted it over a boosted board. New riding challenges are a ton of fun. 1000 KM’s is no joke. Just sitting at the park waiting for my one wheel board charge. Best money I’ve ever spent in my life. My buddy called me about a year ago and showed me a video of the new Onewheel board he got. One hour later I met him at the park with my new Onewheel board. It was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen and had to have one. I have been snowboarding my entire life and nothing feels quite the same like riding my one wheel board. I live in Arizona so it is a little harder to get to the snow. Boat with my Onewheel board it is perfect powder every day the streets and whatever else there is to conquer. I have not stopped writing it since I bought it and cherish it more than anything. People ask me if it’s easier? I tell them if you have a little balance, a little athleticism, a little stupid, and a little crazy then it’s for you. Love it love the videos.

Hey, great video, you are entertaining! Is it worth the price? who knows, at 50 I bought an electric skateboard and it is great, but you need smooth pavement. So at 51 I bought the one wheel- great for balance, and goes ANYWHERE! That is the cool part. Trail riding. Runs forever.
But for real.... kickflip backlip fakie ON the rail of the onewheel was next level. ❤️

I got my first Onewheel 2 weeks ago (xr plus). Rode 47km and ended up with broken elbow :(, and now I have to ship it back for repairs. The onewheel just turned of at 15kmt and will not go on again. I flew like superman into the payment. I live in Turkey so really sad to have to send it back after 47km of riding, but still I cant wait for my next ride hehe

Dude your youtube name is so perfect for the onewheel. Also I wanted to let you know I bought the XR earlier this year. I've never had a skateboard in my life. I freakin loved it! Then I fell and tore my ACL. 30k in Hospital bills, 8 months of recovery. The one question I got asked constantly was if I was going to get back on the board. HELL YES. I love my Onewheel.
I broke my ACL doing other shit than skateboarding. Meniscus too. got surgery and everything. 2 months into recovery and I just cant wait to get back on a skateboard, wakeboard, snowboard, etc. Boards are just life man!

i found out real quick that wrist guards are a must. Only been riding 4 days and about 60 miles and ive already had a slow speed "get off" that has me icing my wrist. still beats the hell out of the subway, love this thing. you should really try the Hoosier wheel, it's much better than the stock

I was researching these and watched a video on another RUclips channel. In the comments there were quite a few guys well into their 60's that either have one or are getting one. I'm almost 61. This weekend I bought a Honda Ruckus to ride around town on, grocery shop and to haul with me in my truck so I can explore when I go camping. The OneWheel will soon be joining it. We only live once, I work hard so I can play harder.

Been 5 weeks since I hurt some tendons in my elbow nose diving off my buddy's one wheel. Today I confirmed the order of my very own. Im beyond pumped. Finally something that gives me the same sensation of snowboarding without the snow. There are finance options now with no interest starting at $55 a month.
I so want a one wheel but it’s just too much money and extremely hard to justify for most people. And honesty not hating on you Jesse but it seems to me most of the youtubers using them got them for free. 🤔🙄

Okay ... I hate to do this to you (or anyone), but I have no choice. I don't care about all the fun things you do on the onewheel. What I want to know is ... how practical is the onewheel for my own purpose. Which is? . To go fetch gasoline for my ... airplane! Say what? You see, I just bought a tiny little side-by-side 2-seat airplane. The main purpose is to fly low and slow down canyons or mountain valleys, past spires (think Monument Valley), land on mountaintops and mountain ridges for picnic lunch ... that kind of thing. But eventually, I need to go find fuel. I almost never land at an airport that hosts jets (even tiny jets). In fact, much of the time I just land on grass lawns, dirt roads, long driveways, sand bars along rivers, empty fields, or one of the 20,000+ tiny little airstrips scattered around the world that regular folks never see (and might not even recognize is there for tiny airplanes if they took a walk down the "runway").
And so, the following is what sometimes happens when I need to find fuel. I visually scout from the air, with naked eye or sometimes with binoculars, for gas stations where I can land on the road and pull into the gas station. Sometimes works, sometimes can't find one that convenient. In which case I find a gas station with a lawn or field or dirt-road or something I can land on nearby (need about 100+ feet of straightaway, more at higher elevations). When I land, the hassle is dragging two empty 5~10 gallon fuel bladders to the gas station, which might be 100 feet away... or a few miles away in the worst cases. Getting to the gas station is the easier part, because the fuel bladders are empty and smaller (collapsed), but still no fun if the distance is very far. The harder part is getting back to the airplane with two awkward fuel bladders full of gasoline (5~10 gallons each == 35 to 70 pounds each).
I checked out those manual and electric bikes that be folded and disassembled, but they just barely fit or don't fit through the hole into my cargo area. Which brings us to these onewheel gizmos. They will definitely fit through the hole into the cargo area, and consume a lot less volume than those bikes.
So my main question is... are they practical to haul two 5~10 gallon fuel bladders (basically thick rubber bags) roughly the size and shape of those red "jerry jugs" that are common for carrying gasoline in or to cars. Except the fuel bladders have more rounded edges. They all have handles and some have clips for shoulder straps.
Forget the fun! The airplane is my fun. The question is, are they stable and reliable enough for my purpose (once I have 5 or 10 hours practice riding the suckers). And do remember your answer needs to take into account hauling those two heavy fuel bladders while you ride.
So, all you experts out there. Works easily? Might work? Totally crazy? Maybe more important ... what else might be better? Remember though, needs to be small to fit through the hole into the cargo area. The solution should be as lightweight as possible, because every extra pound of weight slightly reduces the performance of the airplane. Oh, and cheap-as-possible would be nice too.
So I’ve carried multiple heavy suitcases at once and it can do it, but the more weight you add to the bird the more careful you have to be of overpowering the motor. The board balances based on center of gravity so depending on how you carry the jugs and move them around it may or may not work. The XR would be the only one worth considering (IMO) but maybe even something like the new boosted scooter and hang one on each side of the handle bar? I’d find a shop that carries them and test it out.

First ride, twisted ankle and couldn't wait to get back on. I'll never forget my first big slam on the onewheel, I had gotten over-confident as well! Was smashing along full speed and didn't see a pothole, I must have bounced 15 feet. Was bruised up for like 4 months. Wrist guards and helmet saved me from the worst though!

For the first time ever, I rode an offriad segway a bit more than a year ago, right after i got off the damn thing i knew i don't want to drive to work anymore. Too bad the price was out of my range. (10k USD, Ouch.)
Dug around online, discovered the world of electric skateboards, monowheels, mini segways and The Onewheel ofc.
Been torn between all these alternative transportation electric vehicles for a while, got myself a chinese electric skateboard from a local retailer (total disappointment), but eventually coughed up the $ for a Boosted.
The Onewheel was and still is a close second for me, but there is zero offroading in my city and i definitely benefit more from the higher top speed.
People get outraged when they hear the price of the Boosted, what they don't realize, is I'm trusting this thing with my life Every Single Time i get on it. It's not a toy, and i'm gladly paying the price for it's durability and reliability.
For me, the worst part of my day was sitting in traffic, seeing my life waste away was replaced by a crazy fun adrenaline rush. I'm 100% on the same page as you are with your OW, the enjoyment on top of being the fastest way possible getting to and from work and generally get around town is just a combo that I'm gladly paying premium for. Best purchase i've ever made and I honestly feel sorry for anyone who never gets to try and enjoy one of these things.

I first saw someone riding a Onewheel at a festival in 2017 and thought it was some sort of home made festival transportation gadget. A year later I discovered they were an actual product, designed 30 miles away and made in my hometown of San Jose. This was the first video I watched that really sold me on the Onewheel and finally, 3 years later, I have one coming my way.

I'm seeing these pop up in Japan now, where I commute by longboard. Now, I use Sharkwheels with ceramic bearings, so I can go through snow, rain and puddles with no issue or loss of traction, but seeing you go through grass, mud and over sand is making me pretty envious!

600 miles on mine and I ride fast and only one bad crash and it was my fault.
So many people tarnish the Onewheels reputation because they fail to do the research and read the manual and learn how the board works so they blame the device when really 90% of crashes are user error.
Many people who crash and talk bad on it have no idea what they are doing and probably never did any board sports in their whole life.
I visited with family a couple Sundays ago....the kids pressured me into trying the OneWheel XR.... I’m 39, 6’3” 210 lbs, never been on a skateboard... I fell in love and had my own OneWheel XR delivered 5 days later. I’ve been on it every day since and it has no problem with the steep hills in my neighborhood.
Worth the money? Absolutely. Cons: I ordered the fender at the same time and still have yet to receive it, for that amount of money they coulda figured out a way to ship it all together. If you are learning, it’s likely you’ll get some wheel burn on your ankles at some point without the fender.... and living in the Pacifc NW, the wheel spray drenches the legs/shoes in a hurry. I’m pretty annoyed that I don’t have the f’ing fender yet.
That said, I’ve been fantasizing about riding it all morning.... it’s still dark out.... gonna hit the OneWheel before the rain begins.
I’ve wanted one for AGES. As a former snowboard instructor the idea of getting around town on one of these is heaven. But. In the UK we have a law that makes them ‘illegal’ that dates back from legit 1800’s. I’d want to use it to commute to my office, but I can’t. And what’s more annoying? The ONLY shop in the ENTIRE country that sells them - is less than 3 miles from my house. :/

Bought a onewheel a month or so ago and it's absolutely the BEST thing I've bought. (2nd to my gaming PC) those are my two babies and I use them every day.
Everything you’ve said about the Onewheel is on point! If anyone is still wondering, yes! It is worth every penny! I take it everywhere with me. Any chance I get, I ride it. It goes on planes with me, on trails, to the store. I even rode my Onewheel to the hospital after I wrecked on the Onewheel. I have fun cars, fun motorcycles, however, I still have more fun riding the Onewheel XR than any of those other things.
One last thing to say about the Onewheel.
ITS THE MOST FUN YOU CAN HAVE WITH YOUR CLOTHS ON. (That’s legal)

Hah! This story sounds very familiar. Got my OneWheel XR Plus a few weeks ago...a little overly confident the first few days out. Crash and Burn at 20+mph (no broken bones...just some road rash). Let's just say I won't be pushing the boards limits...but, still love the OneWheel. Also, will be riding with some protective gear. Want to be ready for snowboarding this winter. Great vid- slow but entertaining. Here's the deal- if you're asking the question he poses, freaking yes...YES> I am a 6'3" 265Lb dork. I race motorcycles, ride road bicycles, drive fast cars on tracks etc. All the first world expensive sports. I spend shit tons of disposable income playing and enjoying life. Lucky me, yes. Here's the deal. I dont surf, snow board or skateboard. have done a few times but not my gig. I saw this, at a racetrack where a dude was using it in the pits to get around. A few peeps I know got them. (older versions) I asked and was told its very hard...eff it. I ordered it, paid overnight freight, got it yesterday, this video was still on my screen since I ordered it. Yesterday eve I spent 15 minutes on the carpet in the house, and put on my backpack. I went outside, with my phone, wallet, the charger everything. I rode it thorugh the city, parks, all over and went downtown, and had to plug in to charge it. It was a 100% riot. RIDICULOUSLY RAD. i carve like i'm on a GS course, all terrains, fell once, in my driveway, at the end of 16 miles for my first ride...mostly because my calves were lazy and shredded ! BUY ONE. Thanks bro, you inspired this purchase!

As an 18 year old with a decent paying food industry job not having to pay too many bills, I really want one of these. And I can see it being really useful and even more fun. Unfortunately I really have to save my money for getting a new laptop and moving out so I doubt I will get one anytime soon but the day will hopefully, at some point. I so badly want a Onewheel - for transport and fun; but also, as a snowboard instructor, to keep my movements, muscles and balance tuned between seasons... sadly the price (particularly when you factor in import and taxes outside the US) makes it a pipe dream instead of a budgetable priority, particularly as it’s unclear how welcome Onewheels would be on airplanes, and travel is part of a snowbums job. Anyway, keep it up, I’ll live vicariously through you and a other youtubers until I hit the jackpot somehow!

But, I don't have one, and this could fit into my current lifestyle now that I am a student again. Have had my eye on the OneWheel for 6 months. $1800 is steep, but I NEED SOMETHING...I need to capture that fun you show in the offroad segment in the video. I snowboard but have been a flatlander (Indiana resident) for toooo long. This weekend I was in downtown Indianapolis at a wedding and a OneWheeler rolled by, I was like a kid in a candy store! He let me ride it for a minute, despite my obvious inebriation. Good on that guy! Just need to hit up the Plasma center for a year!!!! Ha!

To me it is because I cant afford to race anymore, I miss snowboarding in the summer and this is close as you'll get and around here Big money has shut off all the ATV trails i used to ride.. so ya expensive toy but cheaper than a boat!
Oh yesh. I have a OneWheel+ XR, and it is *all of those things* you described. Especially 'obscenely fun'. I ride less trails and more 'paved' paths - but that's because I ride this thing like it's my 'summer snowboard'. So sweet to roll a slow carve from one side of a path to the other. Instead of a new laptop this year, it was an XR, and it's *already* been well worth it.
I have never skateboarded in my life, I have always wanted to but I didn’t. Once I saw an ad for the Onewheel on RUclips I fell in love with it. I’m currently saving up for my first XR and cannot wait for the day when I can open the box🤤. I’m just enamored by the technology of this creation and think about it every day. But of course adulting and trying to get into our first house puts the brakes on this, lol. Once I get my own I will post a video to share with you my same feelings for this mind blowing experience I know I will have. Take it easy and shred safely brother.

So... I am excited to say my xr is coming tomorrow. I've wanted one wheel since the day they came out I just couldn't afford one couldn't pay the cash upfront too heavy of a hit so you know what I did is started working on my credit. And I figured if I can get financed It would help me build my credit because eventually I'm going to buy a motorcycle like real soon and I'll need to finance that as well. So PayPal was the first place to give me a credit card and then I signed up for a secured credit card and now I've got four credit cards with a decent limit and my credit score has improved enough to get financed for a one-wheel. The long wait is about over! Your video is great man. Looking forward to carving all these trails in northern CA. !
My story is similar. I started with a Segway MiniPro that I scored on eBay for 120 bucks. It’s been great and I take it everywhere. But now that it has proven that I can, and will, replace my car with an electric scooter, I am anxious to trade up to the OneWheel. I rabidly watch eBay hoping to get a deal, but I am continuously adding to my 20-bucks-every-day-I-can-afford-it savings system planning to get a brand new one. Hopefully there will be one with an even larger range by the time I have the money together.
Have you considered an electric unicycle like the Inmotion V8 or the Gotway Tesla? They can be significantly cheaper than the OW and are better all-around commuter devices.

Dude! I just got a OneWheel and the same thing happened to me on my first ride. Blood and a left knee the size of a grapefruit. I’m pretty sure it’s OW’s initiation process just to make sure us riders are worthy of its epicness!
hahaha sorry to hear! I try and explain to people that it really is its own beast. Almost like riding a horse, you need to master it and know exactly how it behaves before you start pushing its limits. I don't fear nose dives or unexpected bails at all anymore, but i'm also several thousand KMs in.
JesseDriftwood it certainly is its own beast which is why I wanted it over a boosted board. New riding challenges are a ton of fun. 1000 KM’s is no joke. I bet the OW feels like a new appendage at this point. Can’t wait for that!
