Trucking can be lucrative due to high demand for freight transport. Factors like experience, type of hauls, and owning a truck impact earnings. Keep in mind long hours and time away from home.❤
Investing in a small business related to trucking, such as owning a truck or establishing a freight brokerage, can provide additional income streams for truck drivers. Diversifying investments helps mitigate risks and increases financial stability.
Advise diversifying income in trucking, caution against the "do it myself" approach. Suggest seeking investment advice to navigate challenges. Personally, my portfolio surged by almost 300% since January 2020, reaching seven figures amid the COVID outbreak.
My portfolio has been in the gutter for the entire year, so I started researching new ways to profit in the market, but everything I tried just seemed to miss the mark. Please let us know the name of your financial advisor.

For those who don’t know, most bigger trucking companies don’t own their own trucks. They are fleet owned. They are just leased to the trucking company, and after a certain amount of years and mileage, they get replaced with a new one.
Truck drivers are meant to stick together but unfortunately they do nothing but bring others down. You dont like this guy then dont watch its that simple.
and those be the old people too
Well said , old or young lots of drivers out there don’t support each other . Hate and ego make all those drivers distant from each other . It’s all survival of the fittest now . Times definitely changed and won’t change.
We are MEN , not little girls
We Break Balls, if a driver breaks your balls then you break back. That's what we do, we do it all day on the CB it's just what we do. We help each other all the time but if you spend as much time on the road like we do that's how we get our entertainment. Be a Man ‼️ BOY‼️
I love it when you succeed.Onya big fellah.
You've kept all your trucks clean inside. Drivers like you deserve nice equipment.
Great job backing into that tight dock today Alex. I know you’ve had a Kenworth power unit before, but I hope you’re enjoying the new Next Gen truck.
Tight?
Take the hill assist off when backing up and it won’t “jolt”on you while backing
Great to see Mr.Ken E. Worth , on the roads still very well super happy ☺ for you !
Well happy journey so far Alex. At least you have not been travelling on icy slippery roads risking becoming a casualty of the winter storms.
So close to that Million! Keep it going!
Great job Alex. An idea when backing in tight places that has worked for me. Move the trailer tandems to the front so it might help you back into a tight spot. It's a little more work getting off and back on the truck, but you'll have a better chance on messing up your KW. Moving the the tandems forward will also help you in an area like downtown and big city deliveries. It will be easier to make turns. Remember, even if you had moved your tandems for reasons of being legal weight on highway, you won't be going through any more state scales to worry about. Just a thought. 👍👌
I saw u on 80 in Illinois u look like your still getting use to the new truck haha but she looks good rolling on the road ! Be safe out there 👍🏼
Hey just a quick tip, when you're low on air like you were at the beginning don't pull your maxis, you dump a fair bit of air when you do that. As long as you're on flat ground just leave it in neutral and build air like you were. Otherwise, when you release brakes again you lose air pressure again charging the lines!
Unless there's some new technology that requires it, it would save you time!
Best of luck out there man.
Alex.... as well as some other young truck drivers ive seen on here constantly pop both their valves all the time and it drives me CRAZY! im 29 and ive only driven for a year and a half almost 2 and thats one of the basic things they teach you in school. its a bad habit to get into especially during winter months because it makes it easier for your brakes to freeze. and when he has to keep readjusting his setup (which is fine! pull up or go around or whatever how many times you need to!) he has to keep stopping to refill his air tanks and people have commented many times telling him and he still does it.
like bro... seriously, what are some of these school teaching these days. like i had to pick up a trailer from another driver from my company and it took an hour because she was out of time and didnt want to drive in violation (AND she couldnt stay at this place overnight) wouldn't listen to me on how to go into PC... she had NO IDEA what personal conveyance even is... had to wait for her to call the company and get them to walk her through it..... she got downagraded out of her truck and back with a trainer.
Great to see you my friend Love the truck , take your time it’s been a min from when you were in one be safe brother
Keep it going, momentum is the way to go!
All yall complaining but yet still watching his videos.
Yes,we do !!!
Because we all loved the move "DUMB & DUMBER" !
This is just the updated version of it.....The dude is SIMPLE !
Love your positive attitude in the worst situation alex! Keep sharing and thank you!
Positive attitude? Dude does nothing but whine and cry through most of his videos and he refuses to go to certain places. Hardly positive
Happy and safe driving lots of love from India
I've been waiting for this video! Great content! You've inspired me to get my CDL! Your content helped me make a major career change! Thanks alex!
Turn off the hillstart assist when backing it wont jump backwards on you
45 degree ally dock is the best 90 degree backing should only be used in certain situations
Never never leave anything that can get in the way of your brake pedal specially those big ass boots bro trust me that boot gets behind the pedal you ain’t stopping
This School bus driver has a students grapefruit roll under his brake pedal, and when he slammed on the brakes not only did the brakes not fully engage, but the grapefruit got smashed and the juice squirted into his eyes temporarily blinding him. OMG...poor Otto.
Best comment
Enjoy trucking video with his new truck ! Mike from Missouri
Great job. Keep up the great work.
While riding in a borrowed dump truck with my uncle he remarked "this thing drives like a truck!" He was accustomed to his semi, so I guess if you want to drive big trucks, prepare for a varied experience.
Awesome! Glad to see you in omaha! Stay safe out there!
Finally another Alex video 👌 been waiting for this one
Good job Alex. 👍🇺🇲
Congrats on the new truck!
I’ve seen one of those drivegp trucks before in central Illinois. Good locking truck
I love the truck, beautiful, glad to see your back yeahh
Dam good back every week you get better 👍
Way better than a crapcadia. You can’t see the hood on a freightliner unless you raise the seat high. Feels like you’re in a cabover
Just a guess since the T680 has a 75in bunk you might be 5 to 10 inch longer wheelbase than the cascadia. I think the cas was 230 you may be 235 to 240in. Ask Steve or one of the guys at maint desk what the wheelbase is compared to cascadia. I was contracted as an o/o there 3 yrs.
23:50 next time Alex, go straight across the street, then back up jackknifeing to the left, then proceed left.
Buddy did you check your 2nd stop to make sure they didn't take to much off here at the 1st stop sure would suck to be short a pallet or 2 at that 2nd stop
I hope those new 680's are better than the older ones... my company having to replace rear end and transmissions ( auto ) at a astounding rate.
The Gen 2’s are worse! More electronics, all LED lights that are like $1800 for front cluster and backordered to boot!
My mechanics hate working on the 680, the freightliner, I hate to say it is a better truck.
That new Kenworth seems to be crazy loud inside for a new truck.
Not at all. It’s incredibly quiet actually. Dude rolls down his windows all the time for no reason.
@@joshknighttt He closed them at around 16:00 mark and the engine was still very audible with quite a lot of vibrations.
@@sic22l I put around 200k on my 23 T680 and trust me, it’s not loud at all. A very quiet and comfortable truck.
"That's a straight up garage" 😂👍
Champaign Illinois my neck of the woods lol
I’m new and still need 30 more hours of the 70. I’ve been watching you since December and seen all your previous videos. I’ve become a confident driver watching you.
Thank you for your videos
Longer wheel base trucks are more comfortable on bumps. I am not sure if it’s because of it being a KW or because it’s just the wheelbase.
Driven gen 2 KW, Pet 589 amd Volvo 760. Best ride is Volvo, air ride cab and front end. Hardly feel bumps af all and great truning radius!
hey ALEX, my love and inspiration as a driver, how I miss you, I love your videos and I hope to see you very soon on any road in this beautiful nation
you are in my hood, everytime i see a blue truck i wonder if its alex
Traction control isn’t going to stop the jolting. Traction control only cuts power to the wheels when it notices and increase in speed to tires. Like spinning tires on ice or something
Hey Alex, I enjoy watching your videos, please if you can play more thanks stay safe out there.
Tough job! Complain as much as you want!
Is ok.take your time parking.
I read that that's a feature on the next gen t680, your digital cluster dims way down when you reverse with your lights on
It does
I love Kenworths!
I’m surprised that you don’t open the door when backing in your truck. I find it quite difficult to back in my T680 without opening the door. I only leave it closed if it’s pouring down rain. The design of the window and sleeper makes it challenging for me to see rearwards.
I agree. Harder to see the back than Cascadia
I think he is reaching his head out pretty far out the window.
Hey Alex great job)
University Park near your hub in Joliet!
Alex, you had better stay out of that sketchy kayak!
The T 600. Kenworth. Used to be real good . They don't have a sharp turning ratio. But the new Kenworth. With the motors and transmissions, no good.
Great video sir❤🎉
Its good to see all these kenworths Auto try coming to new zealand and drive them coz there all 18 speed manuals
He could never drive a manual. He barely manages an automatic.
Now I want to go to Ceresco and see all this😂 and try the Red Rooster.
I think you were trying to jug handle (go into opposing traffic) not button hook where you stay out of opposing traffic🤔
Transco doesn't use onboard ELD's?...new power units usually have lots of bugs until 50,000 miles or so
How in the heck can you back that thing up so good?
I noticed when you put it in reverse, the dash lights dim automatically
What month is this? why isn't there any snow in Nebraska?
Caveat! Look at Alex using big words. 😄
Alex do you ever get on the highway and drive? Gee Wees!!!
Would you recommend this job to anybody that wants to come a truck driver your company?
Thanks!
in few years planning to be a truck driver maybe u got any tips for starters?
Don't drink or be under the influence of anything while driving. That is called DUI. Don't ask me how I know.....
I'm curious. What takes more time, loading the truck, or backing up to the dock?
Loading/unloading
@@sufpmao, That was a sarcastic comment, it's a rhetorical question. Alex takes forever to back into a bay, spot, or space. He needs to work on his backing skills, that's a fact.
Depends if Teamsters are involved.....
@@chrisherbert123 Any time you can back-up without smashing anything (too much) is a good job
@@chrisherbert123 I would much rather it take me 20min to back into a dock than to rush and hit something. Driving is a constant cycle of learning. The day I quit learning is the day that it's time for me to get out of the truck.
Kenworths and peterbuilts turning radius isn’t as good as the freightliners
University Park is a far South side suburb Chicago It can be very dangerous it's very poor
So, I’ve seen this happen to you a few times, where your customer tells you that the dock is in a completely different spot from the delivery address. I feel like this is the kind of thing your dispatcher would know and be able to brief you on when they assign you. Is this snipe hunt a common occurrence in trucking?
This shit happens all the time in trucking. No one bothers to check till you are late or calling them about it. I always triple check any and all addresses I get. Cause they are wrong a lot and it sucks taking a huge truck to the wrong address.
Shit happens all the time and im a local driver. Its really annoying to get to the location and they tell you the actual location is an additional 15 minutes away. Granted 15 minutes isnt far its just irritating
Yea no one cares unless it’s late. Everyone half a$$ there job and expect driver to be 100% perfect and professional
I’ve had this happen a few times. Awhile back in Arkansas, I went to a place to pick up some corn and the actual silo for it was like, 5 miles outside town. Had to follow a dude from the office out to the farm. Lol
we need more Alex
Great driver, great truck
Happy late New Years.
Over 1/2 of his videos are of backing to dock door.
Better than 3/4 of the video being loaded/unloaded and the remaining 1/4 OTR straight interstate.
"Does it have a longer wheelbase?"
Answer: YES
Show us the engine? Is it a Cummins (red) or paccar (black).
It’s a Cummins.
Ur trucks seem to move like barges compared to trucks in uk
Your Company should have given you a Daycab, you Drive like a Grandmother. Lol
Did you pay for your own cdl or you got someone to sponsor ?
Cb radio? 10 meter big radio, coil antenna , come on man
Good video
GOOD JOB 🅰️👍🇺🇸
Love your videos, but one thing drives me crazy......... you never seem to get better at backing.......... always takes forever. that new back up alarm will drive people crazy........ maybe focus on getting better at backing... worry less about talking and more about backing. Keep up the good work!!
How many miles on that truck all ready
6th!!! Love the content keep up the good work
Finally back up correctly
He bought his own truck? Nice!
@@christygruber2283 10-4. It says "My" so I misunderstood. Thanks
No, no he didn't
No, he threatened to quit the company if they didn't give him a kw. So they caved and bought 2 for a deal and gave the other kw to the driver of the year.
You have got to unplug that back up alarm. 😂
I've been to University Center multiple times
Alex How many new kenworth's did they give out?
Don't expect a reply from Alex in your lifetime. Ain't happening.
Hello, when I start trucking in the future, I will buy a drone and fly the drone while unloading the load. It's like pressing the number 3 in ets.
You might think that, but you are not going to have near as much time to actually look at the drone screen as you would think.
Hello. I just wonder what engine do you have there Is it CX15? DD15?
He don’t know
Cummins or Paccar probably
He's not strong enough to open the hood
Alex probably know what engine that truck has. With that being said, it’s a Cummins.
Yeah youre right. I'm sure he knows. I'm just a little surprised how haters dare to show up a bit. @@joshknighttt
Crazy to see some of the hate. Always an old timer too. Let the dude work, he’s making his living and doing it his way on his time. Y’all super truckers need to chill out lol
What a pain in the a double s
Alex please slide your tandems when making these tight backings. It makes it so much easier.
His tandems were up
Its gotta be illegal in 38 states to have thst GPS in your line of sight!!
No one cares to be honest
Hi bro
Do you do TNT Alex I’d love to train with you
