Yo people! Bit of a different one. Hope you like it.
How much protein you eat per day ? please
Yeah enjoyed that one mate good info. Are you still eating a bagal for breakfast and salad for lunch?
@@DeejayRach0 your bodyweight x 2g
Hi Joe, been wondering about this topic the last couple of weeks. As the son of someone who had dementia, I'm interested in ways to prevent it from happening to me. I'm aware that a healty diet and lifestyle is not a full guarantee, but still. A very welcome video. Thank you!
@@user-wn5dm6ku5i in kg?
Don’t mind me. Just waiting for a classic, vintage Joey D Q&A
I gotchu... will do one on the 'Joey D' channel soon mate.
@@JoeDelaneyy Cheers lad🙏
Can't see us ever getting a "vintage" one because he has moved on from that part of his life in reality
@@JoeDelaneyy There's a Joey D channel? Why wasn't I told.
It’s always cool to see Loma Linda mentioned. I completed my masters there and here’s what I can say about their lifestyle factors that have the most impact:
1) maintaining a healthy body weight
2) no smoking or drinking
3) very community and family oriented
4) diet. Now, not all SDA’s diet is healthy, especially in the younger generations. But a lot of my professors grew their own vegetables and fruit, stayed away from animal products, and didn’t consume alcohol or smoke
5) activity levels. Loma Linda residents definitely aren’t gym rats, but it wasn’t out of the ordinary to see 90+ year olds swimming laps at the rec center pool or playing tennis
I really like this one. The exercise content is great but these subjects are interesting and important. More please, thanks Joe!!
Love this style of content, super dope
Yes mo 😎💪
Love how you’re shifting your content to overall well-being recently!
Long time subscriber here, and I originally subbed for the humor and straightforward info, but Joe has expanded into a real seeker of purpose and your videos have been getting sooooo amazing. The editing, the storytelling, seriously, we can see how much effort you’re putting into these. Well done 👏🏽👏🏽
"we can't really talk about diet in isolation without mentioning overall lifestyle" This is the entire gist of this video and i totally 100% agree!
GREAT video. The story telling aspect to this and editing is so good. I'm recently switching up my diet to more Mediterranean so this comes at great time. Going to go through more of these vids of yours.
Wow, you are really changing up your content. You are probably my fav fitness youtuber since you always post quality
Quality, love these kinds of video, even if they are longer and harder to make. We appreciate it Joe
I love this content. It reminds me of the sort of subjects that The Bioneer enthuses about on his channel regarding performance, self development, and psychology. I love to process and learn from excellent words and wisdom from videos like this. This is very interesting and meaningful stuff, mate.
After watching your channel for over a year now I still can't decide whether I just enjoy your content or just listening to you talk and be snarky sometimes LOL Either way both are good. You're a solid guy Joe. Cheers!
This content is so good, people are so focused at making their diet and training so efficient, people forget about actually creating a surrounding lifestyle that is so much better for them
Great content … got me thinking about all aspects of my life not just diet and training … it’s all connected!
Top quality content bro , Joe Delaney is my hero
Great video man, loved the different style.
High quality vid, thanks Joe
Love these series.. keep it coming Joe
My favourite seies on you tube atm. PLZ keep them coming m9
love these sorts of videos. Keep making them!
Need a Joey D podcast, could listen to ya all day. Quality video as per usual
If most people would strive for progress rather than perfect they’d have a better chance at sticking with it and truly seeing results with less struggle. Great video.
Love it! Appreciate the graphics and the topic, keep it up! :)
One of your best videos!! Congrats
Realy great subject, Joe. Thanks!!
Great video mate thanks for sharing
Great video… I enjoy this type of video more than the shred bro ones!!
Greetings from Costa Rica, man. Love your vids!
Loving this style of video, definitely throw one in more often! I would say the biggest change I could do, would be to improve diet and eat less 'processed foods.' For the benefits of extra concentration and better sleep.
Bro, your videos are just the BEST!
been waiting for this vid for ages !
This is potentially the peak of self reflection. Its obvious the freedom these realizations have provided you. The concepts are so intuitive, but just as easily overlooked. Thanks for this, Joe - and good on you.
I love these videos, man. keep it up
Amazing vid Joe, yesss to the eclectic Joey D
love your videos, thanks a lot for this!
Great video. It's balanced, informative and inspired a bit curiosity in me. Yes to more content like this
One of my favourite videos Joe. I have been lucky to have lived and worked in many parts of this vast world whilst trying, and often failing to remain healthy through fitness, diet and social interaction. Big lessons learned for me are stress needs to be properly acknowledged and continually dealt with, sleep/rest inc naps is important and staying properly hydrated plus try to laugh/smile every day whether things are good or bad. I also got through a very serious unexpected illness by keeping to these basics….plus of course resistance training and eating kale and turmeric 😊 love the vid 👍
I like this one! I see that you're trying different fomats and I am all for it! Super interesting content! But if you decide to do another "full day of eating" I'm all for it as well! Keep doing your thing!
I’m liking these evidence- based video’s Joe! Definitely noticing the hard work in getting some quality awareness out on some important avenues of health🤙🏾 #joedelaneyisstillmyhero
Great video 😁 you’re humor keeps me watching! 🤘
top quality video of a self reflected, intelligent person with good humor.
Great video man!
Love this! bit more thoughtful and looking at health as a bigger picture
Really great video, good job mate
loved that video! hope to see similar content
Great video mate, really enjoying your new style of content
Editing skills on point laddddd 👌
Really great video Joe, thoroughly enjoyed it. Biggest change for me is my drinking habits. Definitely are bigger drinkers out there but I'll still drink at least a few times a week with one of them most likely being pretty heavy. Getting to the age where I start to feel it for the next few days and definitely enjoy the weeks and weekends where there is no drinking involved because of this. Started to cut down slowly and am realising how much of my social life is built around it, and the perks of not drinking vs the health drawbacks of not seeing my friends as much is an interesting point. Think i'm going to have to give myself a kick up the arse and use more willpower to not drink when I'm out with them, rather than forgoing socialising. Anyway, great vid!
Sunshine, sea air, low stress, diet, genetically longer telemere's, meditation, no junk food. No smoking, no drinking.
You can’t do much more than that to be honest 👍🏼
Mulberry
Sea buckthorn
Aronia
echinacea tea
Onion
Ginger
Garlic
Parsley
Honey
Propolis
Horseradish
Sauerkraut
Thats what I recommend.
@@familyread7889 Strong and meaningful social connections and a feeling of belonging?
I’ve managed to get my diet, fitness, and body composition where I want it but there are happier people I’ve met who have reliable, loving families and groups of true friends.
Maybe it’s just human nature to want what we [probably] can’t have
@@CursedWheelieBin what will it take for you to be in a mindset where your happy?
Seem to me like your on the right path
I really enjoyed this video mate not to say I don't enjoy your other ones lol But truly great info here, and really liked the format of everything and love the humor you add to your videos. Keep up the great work and don't feel like you have to keep pushing out content like a lot of these other content creators.
Joey Delaney is my heroo
Interesting vid joe love these somewhat-tangenty videos!
I've been going for walks as the weathers been nicer, increasing cardio and making a real effort to eat clean (edamame beans have so much protein per cals wtf)
Surprise surprise I am already feeling the benefits within just 4-5 days and it is making cutting a breeze.
Good reminder in this video to actually focus on the "Health" in Health & Fitness! Not just cram brotein and lift hard 24/7!
Your content is proper good like 👌 seriously, informative, entertaining, unique. You the man JD 😎
What a wonderful video Joey D, I love it
This is probably the best RUclips video (& series) ever
Your humour makes these videos 10x better!
Very interesting topic, love it
Sick video as always.
The one single thing I would change would probably be regarding mental health. Change the way I'd think to a more open minded or (Seeing-things-in-the-bigger-picture) type of thing. Don't let the smaller issues or stress get the best of me, accept it and then move on and improve.
Solid content this mate.
King Casio back with more unique quality content. Keep it up joe
Sweet editing for the opening part. Have you got someone on board these days looks great.
This is the kind of video I would have watched even if I wasn't subscribed to a fitness channel this is actually a fascinating topic
Incredible, thank you.
Another sick one Joey D 🤙🏻
this video was awesome! thank you :)
Grounding yourself (literally). Getting out into nature or a park, shoes and socks off, and get all nature-y. Not actually done this for a while but now that it's starting to warm up, maybe soon. Was kinda waiting for the next segment about how your made brussels sprouts taste good
Love this content.
Great content as always. I get my servings of kale in almost every meal. Smoothies, tomato, sauce with pasta, curry, lentil stew, easy to make enjoyable. Also beneficial to consider that the more plants we eat, not only better for our health, but animals and the plant too 👊🏼🔥
Favourite video to date! 👏
Hi there! I am from Sardinia and lifestyle does matter! Enjoy nature, love, be mindful and grateful for the gift of life.
I see the sea everyday and we live in the countryside....my grandparents died at 97 in their sleep 😴
They woke up at 5am every morning
Fisically very active people and they ate what their land produced.
Love the video Joey, for me.. also a guy trying to gain muscle and lose some body fat, changing my diet was key, over time I’ve educated myself about what I should be eating and made adjustments to my diet in ways that work for me. It’s certainly not perfect and I do still enjoy some “junk” on most day even if it’s a chocolate bar or cereal instead of a PB bagel (stolen from you) but I’m not trying to be on stage. I do struggle with tracking and obsess a little over protein goal but I just do my best everyday. Again I sometimes take my eye off at weekends.. I think if everyone made small changes over a period of time it makes a difference, it doesn’t have to be extreme or cold Turkey. Just improvements that can be stuck to.. consistency is key.
So glad you took this stance. Always come across as authentic. Joe have you any experience of psychedelics?. You talk like someone who is in to 🍄, its a compliment btw
Loved this video. Not sure if you’ve read ikigai by Hector Garcia but this is essentially it summed up😅I’d recommend it if you haven’t already Joe
Thank you for the video, Joe. I was wondering if you could give some advice or perhaps do a video around daily exercises for tall men who aren’t bodybuilding. I have learn a lot from your videos!
get a pull-up bar and just hang from it every day...hold on, relax, breath slowly and allow yourself to just stretch out...loads of benefits to this..
Great video. A lot of these longevity diets are exaggerated. They are tailored to people's local needs & often ignore a lot of things like how those environments are or genetics.
more stuff like this lad we all need to live longer
Proper sick video mate! Any thoughts on post-meal blood glucose levels as measures of healthy nutrition?
Needed this one m8
Great video mate. I know I have a self control problem with junk food, will get to curbing it sometime but it does all taste good
Great video. Also, you look better now than last summer
This confirms what I’ve found to be true in my life. Mental health is truly what should be focused on first. Better mental health just leads to you naturally eating better and feeling better.
Humor is the No1 thing in your narratives that I like.
brilliant video
Meditation keeps me happy and centered, training keeps me healthy and lean! Perfect combo 👌
nice production quality
Enjoyed that - interesting content
Great video
Hahahah this video is fantastic, factual with a pinch of humour.. Well done!
Joe, great video as always. I am a bit missing the important link between microbiom and hormone production, have you looked into that?
Great intro JD
loved your vid
Just what we needed
we is the nice thing to say!
I just focus on getting 150-170g of protein per day, with a good chunk of fruit and veg included, oranges, apples, avocados etc. Always throw in my junk food too but on a much reduced basis, maybe some chocolate or ice cream once a week maybe twice when it's the misses time of the month and I join her for moral support. No alcohol, not even missing it and I'm Irish! Red meat once a week, lots of chicken/chic pea derived protein's.
Point is a balanced relationship with your food along with activity and you'll be doing just fine.
In January after the annual fattening period I was 210lbs and as of yesterday I'm down to 185lbs. I'm 5'-10" so not overly tall, so can't carry much weight without looking like a keg. I follow intermittent fasting about 1800-2100 calories per day, 15-20,000 steps a day. Only just started back at the gym last week to start toning up. It's all maintainable I think too. I can go out for a meal every now and then, count the cals and then get back on track the next day. Don't go on a crash diet, change your habits and don't cold turkey it and your on the road to success 👊
'join her for moral support' 😆. love it
We love you Joey D, you are our hero
Honestly doesn't matter what sort of videos you do, for me it's your delivery that makes em entertaining. With that said, thought this shit was interesting 👍
Bro this is a gangster video. You kill it consistently my man. Love to see it.
what?! the video is not about gang activity
Nice vid 👌
Love your watch mate! Can you tell me what model it is if u dont mind? Appreciate it
You set the bar preety high before, but this is my opinion is actually your best content
