Never heard of Majority before. I do like the look of these, and the twin speakers. I have a Pure evoke which I got mainly for DAB, but it also has Internet radio, which has enabled me to find some great niche and interesting stations from around the globe!
Great review Fred concise and informative showing some good features thanks for comparable to Bose at the end also helps establish its place in a room.
Loved your review Fred. You voice reminds me of the guy who used to present Lonely Planet.. Loved the quality of your review and listening to you. Thank you.
@06:15 Fred only 14C down St.Albans blimey mate winter's on the way😔, I get the thermometer symbol but the one underneath that shows 13C looks like you wear a pair of earmuffs with a thermometer on the side. very odd symbol never seen that one before. Good review and looks pretty good.
I picked one up yesterday second hand for £25. I must say, I'm really impressed with it. The firmware is excellent, and very responsive. Not in anyway frustrating to negotiate. I guess Majority commission devices to be made in Asia and take great care to write their own software and ensure a friendly product to use.
Fred, one thing i think you have missed that is very important. You don't need to use the remote itself to navigate, just download the Airmedia remote and thanks to that you can search for stations without the need to use the remote.
Looks a nice bit of kit Fred I've sort of replicated similar with a 7 inch tablet connected to a decent Bluetooth speaker - radio apps allow me to play 100's of stations from all around the World. Still like to tune into the shipping forecast on old FM though as it just would feel 'authentic' otherwise! Seems a long way from trying to tune into Radio Luxembourg on a cheap transistor radio in the 70's Probably in the not-too-distant future all services will be delivered via IP - satellite TV, terrestrial TV and radio, DAB etc. will all become technology of the past or relegated to hobby retro-tech for enthusiasts.
Yes Gary i think this is where we are heading in the future. Radio wise its a good thing as there will be pretty much zero chance of Tvi etc. Hope your keeping well bud.
I messing about with zello but I thinking of getting inrico TM-7 to see how that is how how it work over mobile internet by putting sim card in all run it off Wi-Fi
Can you get Fun Kids on this thing? It's a DAB+ station but it's not on DAB+ in my part of the country, and DAB+ signal isn't very good over here! I didn't see anything on the Fun Kids website about listening on an internet radio...
Hi, nice review (finally not someone just reading the user manual list of options). However I was wondering about the WIFI connection quality. I read that a lot of these budget type radios tend to loose WIFI connection which is then hard to regain.. Do you have that experience also?
what i don't get is why high end brands don't get into wifi radios considering that everything nowadays is on internet... you end up buying mostly unknown brands.
Do you have information about which internet radio base this device uses (ie. vTuner, IheartRadio, TuneIn)? I'm interested in specific radio stations (e.g. Radio Paradise, Soma FM, Trojka). Is there an option to manually add a station by providing the URL?
had 3. Majority Huntingdon sent back with faulty cd player, common fault for that model. Majority King's Digital DAB/DAB+/FM and Internet Radio also sent back faulty. i end up with the Majority Willingham DAB/DAB+ Digital FM Radio that was fine bit boomy. i would not say any of them are user friendly. needs better user software its all a mess as of now , could be better if that alone was improved . still good prices for what you get just luck of the draw if you get a working 1
@@CB-RADIO-UK thanks, and do you know whether favourite stations can be assigned to the number buttons on the remote? So I can press '2' and get radio 2 for example? Cheers!
Initially it worked fine but recently all stations have background noise despite the Internet signal almost to full strength. The router is also a few meters away. I've tried to switch the radio off and on again with no results. What could be the issue? Should I reset, amplify the WiFi signal or what? Also if I walk between the radio and the router the radio cuts off! Very annoying! Any advice much appreciated.
@@CB-RADIO-UK it's more a craking noise than a hiss. Music also cuts often when I walk around. It's a small flat and the router is about 4-5 metres away.
Oh ok. Sounds like its losing connection and buffering. I think i would reset my router by turning it off and on again. The do the same on the radio and let it re connect. you might need to re-enter the wep key / password for the router.
@@CB-RADIO-UK many thanks for the advice. I'll try as you said. Do you think a Wifi booster would help with the connection. Also I don't understand how they claim a DAB is built in when in fact it's not possible to select that. Where the external aerial for example?
@@CB-RADIO-UK oops! I just ordered this radio. Anyway nothing last nowadays.. i bought the expensive Evoke Play, suddenly the sound burst 😅. i used it only for 5 months. Mostly for listening talks, and 5% music low volume.

Great review Fred - Sound quality excellent - nice piece of kit and good price too. I'm tempted to get one Cheers Rob
I was pretty amazed at the deep sound esp the bass extension. Its not a million miles from my Bose system which cost loads more.

Hello please, do you mean that it can be managed with an application? what name does it have? thank you🙂🪬
@@eltemplodesanty The one I se is called airmusic. In order to use it, you need obviously to be connected to the same wifi.

Excellent and straight to the point review...Thank you.
Hi Fred, down load the airmusic app and you can use your phone as the remote. great radio.
Nice video iv been looking at the one with the cd player on for a while now. I might just give one a go.
The sound quality will be better than you think esp if you set the EQ. :-)
Tonbridge Wells, the spiritual home of Radio Toupee
Nice audio from the radio Fred really felt the bass using my SB E5 with a custom heavy bass EQ headphone amp connected to an SB Roar go
Its got a good bottom end. This video was recorded with the bass about 3/4.

The TM-7 had good reviews when it come out. I think there are better models out now though.
Like senhaix N60 that look like radio that you as on a fishing boat

It was you ;)

The radio has lost wifi a couple of times when left on standby. It has automatically connected itself when turned off and on.

Looks like no longer available Jan 2021

Hi. Ive not seen a URL option. You can search by name or type so if you have the specific station name it should be there but cannot be 100%
can you skip tracks on spotify using the buttons or do you HAVE to use your mobile as a remote ?
Sorry did not test Spotify.

When music is playing does it show album art?
On Bluetooth i dont think so. Not sure about USB input or Spotify.
Can I navigate genres/countries within the menu, to find stations easily, for example if I want to use this to play stations from a certain country?
I dont think so. But i did not try,

Hi all.. Anyone know how to add a station? When I try it shows a bar code box!
I programmed mine the long way by typing in the station name (radio 2 etc) and then searching. I have not seen barcode to be honest.
