Oh the devs intended it to be this imbalanced and overpowered cool! Set in a fantasy world where you must defend the rift from increasingly difficult waves of orcs, ogres and trolls the player must build a giant trap maze to exploit the game and the ai! Now when it comes to defending your base there are many ways to do it. Today however we have decided to just start building a giant lazer trap maze to exploit the ai pathfinding in the game and turn it into a nightmarish queue simulator with no escape and no counter! But how can we do it with limited resources and money? Well by glitching the game to get infinite money thats how! Thats right its a classic video of the spiffing brit breaking a game that has just topped the charts so why not go find Orcs must die 3 on steam! So sit back and get comfy as I reveal my orcs must die guide and orcs must die tips on how to break the game!

Title: BUILDING A GIANT LAZER TRAP MAZE To Exploit The Game - Orcs Must Die 3 Is Perfectly Balanced
*We dont need eyes where we're going!*
Hope you all liked todays video! It was hilarious to record!
Hello
I love you
E
and it was hilarious to watch as well
If you liked this game you should try evil genius 2. I don’t know about any glitches as of now but it would be cool to see you play it. (While drinking tea obviously)
Using the disk launchers in a hallway, but aimed down vertically does absolutely insane damage if you cover both walls in them(you can also use them to bounce along barricades for crazy damage), and using the domination weapon to just charm the big guys is also very OP, last longer than the stun and they attack other mobs and block choke points, decent single target damage and an AOE that also knocks down small guys/gnolls(best weapon in the game, imo).
Agreed, they should have used the disk launchers instead of the arrow walls. Imagine the framerate drop with all these lasers and then the disk launched! XD
lasers are also pretty meh in my experience
@@Etzlo1 use the boost that changes their damage to fire and make it so tar traps boost fire damage helps them alot
E
Could have used barricades to elongate the main path as well so they would have had to snake through the main laser/tar section at least 3 times (down, up, back down) taking damage the whole way
“Imagine not having infinite money. Pathetic.”
-Jeff Bezos
Ha, less than two billion dollars? Talk to Mansa Musa
Jeffrey Jeffrey Bezosss
Bezos does have pretty much infinite money. He could walk into a Lamborghini dealer, purchase a Lamborghini, drive away, and his bank interest alone would have earned more money than the Lambo is worth. It's basically the Barricade exploit in this video, but in real life.
-Bernard Arnault*
Fun fact: most of billionaires wealth is tied up as collateral for the massive loans they take
The key to high scores is trap combos. The more different traps and status ailments you can put on them the more score you get when they die.
trap combos and to cycle weapon types with different debuffs/damage effects as they also count. score explodes when you have tons of things effecting the orcs /traps/spells/weapons
no, its called cheats.
@@meytah8382 Yes, there are cheaters. However its also possible to get a dramatically higher score than Spiff did by comboing properly.
Yes, I’ve gotten into top 1k many times on leaderboards without cheats. Need to use combos and make it past 40
Also actually making a maze instead of just open pathing. The only maze he made was at the very end before they entered the portal
Orcs must die 2 Endless can be completely beat with mind control mushrooms. By making enough mushrooms to take over every enemy.
Because when you get high enough level there's too much HP to actually kill anything, but a mushroom, it doesn't kill them. It makes them kill eachother.
E
Ah yes, the warcrimiest of war crimes: Mind Molestation
Shrooms and Floor Portals ;)
@@sebowski3734 *writes this down*
I did that, one night I set it up and left it running. I got into the top 3 or something literally doing nothing.
His exploiting skills are world class, but his trap layout skills could use improvement.
That was my thought, especially that last area before the portal...it's a kill room with the ability to create a maze that causes them to have to go about 5x the distance.
Also, multiple tar traps beside each other is a waste assuming there is the upgrade that causes them to slow for a few seconds after.
Yeah that trap layout was oof at best xD
yea i watched a few live streams of a small youtuber that is a pro at this and i could only imagine how good his defence would be
He also ignores displacement traps. In that small hallway next to the door you can cover the floor with launchers and haymakers from the ceiling. This will send orcs flying to the pit which will instantly kill them regardless of health pool remaining.
Then you make the hallway leading into the portal room and then the portal room itself a kill maze. You can make the orcs take the longest route possible and it will be a death room for all the big orcs. Who don’t get launched to the death pit
...Wut? No they're not
He literally just steals other folks' exploits off reddit/youtube, makes a video about it and doesn't even give them credit. The guy's a sham and not even a very good one(Because he actually sucks at most of the games he "exploits").
I'm not entirely sure how the Spiffing Brit has such a large following. Nothing here is unique, it's just consolidated.
Spiff: Connor is so excited to be here!
Connor: *throws himself off a cliff repeatedly*
I'm sure it's unrelated...I think so, at least!
The Spiffing Brit needs a big sign that says "Workers are not allowed to kill themselves during work hours". Or he could take an exploit from Apple and install suicide nets to prevent workers from killing themselves!
No suicide during work hours
Conner: why can't I die!?
Spiff: no suicide during working hours
333 👍
The thing that amuses me the most about this video is that anybody who's played the game will be able to tell you that this isnt even near a well optimized or properly "balanced" trap setup.
Don't play the game but play a ton of TD on WCIII (the old one, fuck nu Blizz for ruining it) and I can tell he goofed
You don't need to play the game to tell that, you can see just because some traps simply are never hitting the enemies. Ironically as powerful as this exploit is you'd consider this a failure... if they thought out placements it would actually be far more powerful.
Much like streamers playing videogames, the idea is to be entertaining - not to show the most optimal strategy. (In part because it encourages engagement with the vid.)
Having a ton of ceiling-lasers is more flashy than a bunch of spike walls, launch-pads, etc.
Being like "I wonder if we can get a record" doesn't mean they actually want it for themselves, either - especially since they're *known* for showing videogame exploits.
For the purposes of making these videos playing optimally is, ironically, sub-optimal.
Yep.
"How is the stone staff balanced?"
-Because you are only in the early game-
for the absurd high score you need 'reset' traps, launchers, air vents, the swinging wall spikes
no air vents in 3
@@MotoManDan1 oof... well there have to be 'reset' traps... they were even in the lol version
@@brayachdragonbane7529 There is a trap reset trinket, yes
@@MotoManDan1 not a trap reset trinket, a reset trap.. .as in traps that drastically reset the orcs advance... liek the giant spiked cage that swung out and would send small orcs PACKING if they survived and could even knock back ogres and trolls... or the aforementioned air vents (which apparently are gone)
@@brayachdragonbane7529 ah yes. spike wall is still there. Spike wall would have been good to get later in waves.
Hey Brit, you should be looking in to stacking dmg multipliers from traps and weapons combined, there are different typs of dmg, and they all stack, for examble stone staff + sawblades...
Tar + fire
@@nicolasevans7781 - I believe you can make the lasers do fire damage, and put them over tar.
Split Stairs map has spots where you can glitch the lasers and have them horizontal. Yes, horizontal lasers. Love this game btw.
You must have been positively beaming.
Thats the lasy way :)
On point
@@Oblithian Underrated comment
@@Oblithian your comment brings a ray of sunshine into this otherwise ordinary thread ..
in the old game it was more about stacking up effects.
as many as possible onto an orc. the more things that hit an enemy and they die from all of it the score explodes.
remember just having various element weapons to stack element damage that would count onto their effect. exploding the score.
so hitting the enemy with many trap types and effects is the way to go. so "only" lasers will only give so much of a score.
and yes your weapons become pointless, but then are only useful for the score bonus when you stack debuffs/damages onto the dying orcs.
It sitll is about stacking effects for better DPS. Thats why they did so poorly despite the money exploit- all their traps were trash
The Tea-drinking community demands a totally fair rematch with trap resets, damage multipliers, charms, and throwing orks off cliffs in addition to the brittish way of infinite money
AGREED
This.
Ha, the end reminded me of Forza. I set an excellent speed on a particular challenge, top of my friends leaderboard, at 150 mph. I checked the global leaderboard and the top speed was over 2000 mph.
Perfectly balanced
@@BurningFyre as all things should be
I was just playing Forza earlier and i got a very quick time in one of the things and i looked at the leaderboard and the 1st place played had done it in 0.007 seconds
This game genuinely looks like a blast. Pretty much a 3rd person tower defense.

@@xaviersimas6059 I'm sure that his channel is the most balanced thing in this perfectly balanced univers. What do you say?
Spif, you're always great, but when you're doing co-op like this, it's next level even for you. Having the second voice to snark off of is just perfect. Give us more please.
So to answer the "How did they get the score" question, orcs must die gives you a bonus for stringing traps together, both to damage and score. There are videos of the earlier games in the series of people scoring like, x150 multipliers with bounce pads.
I don't know if the modifiers for arcane, acid, lightning, and armored-enemy will stack. It's worth a try. The lightning ceiling/ice wall will stun-lock most large enemies. I would try freeze wall, stun lightning ceiling, acid ceiling cannon, tar trap checkering w/ acid geyser while using the sorceress staff. REALLY what you want is to exploit the instant kills because that is infinitely scalable. Plus the spring traps are just majestic. Nothing like sipping tea while watching orcs fly gingerly through the air to their instant death.
One way you could advance without issues with ever stronger orcs could be by just flinging them with the flip trap into the water in the middle. The fully upgraded can do this also to heavier orcs. With a clever layout, you for sure can figure out, the ever stronger getting orcs should be no issue at all
exactly what i was thinking he should try it with those
As per usual, Spiff and Conor are the only people playing legit.
"Legit"
@@dumplechan They got the score using in-game mechanics.

This is amazing, how connor found the better glitch by accident! :D
"Those sawblade launcher deal a ton of damage if placed vertically"
*placed sawblade launcher vertically*
*sawblade got stuck at a haymaker or a dart trap*
*armored ogre got hit on every frame*
*died instantly*
me: "f*ck infinite money! I play solo!" :D
He deserves a big cup of yorkshire tea, I think.
IMO one of THE BEST setups in OMD3? forcing enemies into a single lane, and lining it with the wall saw launcher. It will bounce up and down (bouncing off your barricades) hitting literally every enemy in the line. And because it's a half-wall trap you can put another trap on top (I recommend the electrifying trap). Then use pounders on the roof to keep enemies stunned and you have what I call the "Meat Processing Plant". Got to over wave 60 with this on Coastal Hallways (without exploits. But it was done coop). The downside is the ceiling lasers become...*REALLY* weak later on, as enemies pick up speed they just run right through them before much damage is done. Even with tar....
Oh and the best way to deal with Gnolls? Run to the rift. They will go into it and gnolls **do not count against your rift points**.
It is so nice to see this absolute vegetable back in action - please don’t delete your channel again I love you too much
In orc must die, hight score is obtain by avoiding the damage system. Throwing ennemies out of the map or mind controlling them are some exemples.
Perfectly balanced as all things should be
E
In case anyone is wondering, there is a punishment for dying. There is a mechanic in this game called 'rift rush' where enemies gain a 25% movement speed buff while near the rift. However, if a player dies, ALL enemies gain that speed buff while the player is dead. So killing yourself really isn't worth the mana. UNLESS you are trying to speedrun and want the enemies to reach your kill-box sooner.
Game: how many traps do you want to use?
Spiff: *yes*
Traps were placed criminally inefficient
Each combo doubles the score you would gain for killing an orc (x3=200 x4=400 x5=800 etc) so the highest score is made by making x10+ combos on as many orcs as possible. This means fling them, burn them, electrocute them, slow them, impale them, bleed them, do as many things as possible before killing them.
Orcs must die was one of my favorite game back in middle school.
I hadn't heard the 3rd one came out THANK YOU!!!
I think this is the first time the Spiffing Brit hasn’t broken a game beyond compare.
Making a Maze of barricades to drastically increase the distance travelled by enemies can allow you to force them into walking through every single bit of your DPS. A killbox can be far, far more effective than passive damage alone. Combining Mazes, Killboxes and passive damage? There's your 87,000,000
Problem is the wall exploders (lots of ways to deal with them but endless mode they will fuck you hard later on, not all maps have them. This one doesn't ^
@@nicolasevans7781 wall exploders are easily handled by two lasers with two tar traps at the entrance. Instant death
@@jovonn8303 not on endless xD
@@ryonalionthunder yes on endless as well. after you reach a point that they dont die to it just add lasers as necessary.
"It turns out, no matter how hard you cheat, there will always be people out there cheating harder than you."
- The Spiffing Brit, 2021
normally spiff breaks games, but i dare say this time he was the one left broken
One of you needs to bring boom barrel wall traps, you can place them all the way up the walls to cover even MORE of the map ;D (there is also the plus that is explosive ordinances raining from the sky)
I love to see them do this again with professional help with traps and optimization.
They also might've actually done path limiting, as while you do force the enemies to repath slightly... you're far from optimizing your placement. Some traps simply don't activate and there is empty space. You need to maximize exposure to each trap. You're losing out on a lot of DPS and DPT (Damage per tile)
Remember: Exploits are powerful but even better if you play well.
They chose awful traps as well. Fire damage is the worst you can pick. Archers are a complete waste as well when you could have gotten ballistas who dont die.
I see an "Orcs Must Die 3" 2nd video coming soon... 👀
This looks like what fortnite was supposed to be at 1st
YEESSS!! I was searching so much for a exploit video of orcs must die, so happy you did it
I love this style of game. Reminds me of the days of Dungeon Defenders
I have noticed, comparing my situation with his(both having infinite money), we both created death rooms beyond what is reasonable, then cheered on the orcs that made it marginally further than the others.
20:26 - (In disgust) "OH, look at those teeth."
...Says the Brit at straight teeth. 😏

Thanks Spif. 🍻
This is the day you will always remember, as the day The Spiffing Brit & Connorbrow _almost_ got to level 50.

When the serial exploiter complains about someone else exploiting harder than he did.. 🤣
After watching this video, all my wife had to say, while we are stuck in NSW lockdown is "but we are only on our third wave" with her usual 'I am too cute to be angry at' grin.
You should use barricades or archers along the way to force the enemies to run single file down the traps, having to run back and forth. It'll slow them down and force them to take a lot more damage
I don't know about this game but in a lot of other tower defense games you just set up a labyrinth with two outputs and funnel all the enemies into it. When they get near one end of the labyrinth, you block that end and open up the other end. The enemies path to the other end where you just block that and open the original end. Then its just up to how much time you're willing to spend juggling them back and forth.
This is truly a good idea, but OMD3 does not allow to resell your traps while the wave is still active. In worst case, you´ll block the path and the Orcs start to destroy your Whole build.
Level 1 traps not helping anymore? Maybe a money exploit would help you upgrade them. Also Maybe better trap choices could help.
I drink coffee in my I tea mug.
For the horde.
Todd Howard had this boxed off in ‘94
Fun fact, certain enemies like mr moneybags and gnolls can pass through the portal with NO LIVES LOST.
Dang why there so many cheaters I'm happy that I watched a "Perfectly Ballanced" and non cheating playthrough
Being a venteran from OMD2, your fascination with the stone staff is funny to me XD
Everything in the game is made really strong,
it makes me sad to see people not making mazes. you literally used the mazing wall for the exploit
make them travel 5x the distance over basically the same number of traps
Yeah sometimes I also mess up with this, and shortsightedly think "more dps = better" because my brain doesn't want to factor in the exponential growth of damage if they have to snake the same traps.
God save the spiffing brit. Dude I'm in a constant state of laughter and giggling, just you open your mouth. Pls never stop. I'm dying
Spiff: _flys_
Me: "Ah, yes...he drank Yorkshire Tea yet again"
If you want to try an American game, there's a ton of exploits in this game called "Broforce"
You can Melee pigs to fly, you can sprint on a zipline to basically have infinite speed, most bosses have a spot that you can glitch to where they can't hit you anymore
lots of good stuff
spiff is the G.O.A.T. at this game everyone else was using hacks, exploit's and file editing there's no questions about it
You need more upgrades. That is one of the biggest problems for you guys right now. That and trap placement.. There are traps not being used properly like the Disk Launchers for example. There are trinkets you should be using but are not as well..
Not sure about Orcs must die 3, but in the second game the score was effected by the number of different types of traps an orc was hit by before they died.
So hit them with your wand and 5 different traps is 6 different sources of damage and would give more points than just killing with your wand and 6 of the same trap.
Spiffing Brit is like DF but Spiffing Brit drinks tea, and DF drinks coffee
The editing is unlike anything I have ever seen on this channel before, its amazing

Ok so this exploit if used correctly could easily get u far better than what u did. This is maze building defense but u made 0 maze and u constantly destroyed your baricades. You shouldn't really use the explosive that launches enemies and if they cn just walk past a barricade they will. Idk the traps in this game but your placement was horrible. So many of your traps were just straight up unnnused that idk why you put them there

Glad we're back, spiff
Being spiff friend is like being enslaved but having fun at the same time XD
Now that is some good legit gameplay. Well done Spiff. And the other guy probably did something too XD
No need to worry because the other guy was in the video.👌
I don't believe they were cheaters. They just understood how the game score works, and how to build an EFFECTIVE killbox, even with limited resources.
You generate higher scores by doing more combos. You do more combos by allowing enemies to get hit by different variety of traps. Having an enemy hit by fire damage, frost damage, lightning damage, arcane damage and physical damage generates higher score than just having them hit by lightning (lasers). Additionally, effects also contribute to the score, such as the slow from tars, bleed from razor blades, being lifted/knocked into the air by traps such as the gravity pillar, or Spiked Wall or Flip Trap, etc, also increase your combo points (as well as the damage enemies take).
And they also use barricades to increase the effective distance enemies need to move through. You could've TRIPPLED the enemy walking distance with barricades in the corridor where both orc groups gather, by making them walk in a zig-zag.
Last, but not least: the archers you were useless on this map. They are not supposed to be cannon fodder. Instead they should only be used on maps, where you can find them a safe place.
His accent between two people be like
1: Did you say it's free?
2: No, I said it's Three.
1: Free?
2: THREE!
Connor was offered a free cup of tea. (As long as he supplied the cup and the hot water).
Never played Orcs Must Die but coming from Dungeon Defenders 2 and Sanctum 2, I'd say the enemy pathing and trap placement was probably suboptimal and the reason for the low score. A wide hallway of lasers looks cool but a winding corridor would be better. With the stun lock staff a "killbox" at a choke point would help too. Aim a bunch of AoE traps at one spot and hold enemies there as long as you can.
I hear the corgi barking from 6:24 onward
Lol I love this video. This is proof that it doesn't matter if you have infinite money, it's all about the build and orientation. Best reason I love OMD and Dungeon Defenders :D
If you upgrade the flipper it could be effective since it's not damage based, it just yeets them. If you yeet them into the bottomless void their health means nothing.
Stoping pesky orcs from entering your portal... That sounds like highschool all over again
