i was hoping they'd balanced the mapping with this DLC. narrow hallways and choke points made OMD 1 & 2 fun and solo-able. i find OMD 3's open floor plans frustrating and less fun to play with. they seem to encourage more combat and less focus on traps.
Those bramble traps seem top tier. You don't need to place that many, just a few in key early places and you essentially get free trap placement over time, and free traps seems like a massive boon in this game. Also, is the spread is based on damage dealt, might that mean they'll grow faster if their base damage is increased? Or is it more a total enemies damaged deal?
@@Hobomice you sure? The damage seems way to low for a trap to be able to kill if it was placed on its own and they did spread in the video. It might be based on enemies killed AFTER being damaged.
Btw for anyome curious, the briar patch spreads by how much damage is done.I think its like 135?After a certain threshold of damage is done by any of the patches,it will expand.
I'm glad to see you try the dlc it looks cool. I hope you'll get the chance to try it multiplayer and/or try mods for it, I always enjoy your cheesy and goofy set ups.
It seems like a shame that you have all these cool trinkets and weapons but you only really have access to one if you want to optimise traps. I think this game would benefit from a Swap Layouts button; one button changes your bindings from traps to spells/weapons/charms and back again. This allows players to make the most of their melee stuff AND traps without sacrificing either.
That would be nice but it would probably remove quite a bit from the challenge, a lot of the strategy comes from choosing traps and weapons carefully. Being able to use every trap and every weapon at the same time would also break the item upgrade economy, it would make people grind skulls to upgrade much more items than they would need to normally.
Wait...so you get refunded for the traps that you pick back up, right? Wouldn't that mean that the bramble is a money printing factory? You just put all the upgrades into damage so it spreads the quickest, then farm it like any other plant?

Wonderbots orcs must die 3 series is one of my favorite on YT. I genuinely get excited when I see another video
Thanks it's 75 percent off until dec 22 2022 on steam. glad to see a more recent review

Enemies Killed By The Trap

@@endlesstrash4718 its not. They need to deal 150 dmg for it to spread. 135 dmg if upgraded. :)
@@mastermax5870 That's good to know the game does jack all to tell you that they even spread.
From my understanding Bramble spreads by dealing damage. After dealing a set amount of damage they will spread outwards.
Happy to see Orcs Must Die 3 again, would wish to get some rift lord difficult videos if possible too.

Are the dlc’s worth buying?
100%
Had hoped you'd try this DLC out since seeing the trailer after watching your OMD3 playlist. Wondering if you have any plans to play this multiplayer?
Fair warning: Those Tuatara bastards are resistant to acid and lightning.
Can u trade items?
