    Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
    Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
    2 Thessalonians 2:7
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

    WORD SALAD ONCOMING:
What prayer is, is the acceptance of God’s invitation to commune with Him- so that we can exercise His will upon the earth. As one brother stated above, when we are not aligned with God’s will, we seek to create and live out our own story. Then we wonder why things are fragmented and gone off the rails. It’s because we want our will, not His.
It is analogous to the sons of God; Lucifer and those who have followed his rebellion on the earth. Ultimately, they spread throughout the nations spreading a false narrative in the form of false religions- that teach us to follow our will. You can think of it like the Spanish conquistadors who came to what we now call Latin America. They came in their own name, when they massacred entire tribes and cultures. It is a characteristic of the fallen angels to seek POWER and influence by exalting themselves above others. But God is “Humble”, which differentiates Him from all of the other gods of other religions and mythologies. He is the One True God; the God Most High. And He displays His love and authority through His humility; His incarnation- His life, death, and resurrection of in the Person of Jesus Christ. God became man to elevate our human nature in both purpose in this life, and destiny in eternity. The Apostle Paul said to the church in Corinth; when they couldn’t settle disputes amongst one another, “Don’t you know we will judge angels.”
So, our prayers are to align with God’s purposes on the earth; to draw all creation back to Himself through the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit, that has been made available through Christ Jesus.
So, means of grace is that God is always making His grace available to us through prayer and other means, so that we can live out His will on the earth.

Sproul said it should be called the Disciple's prayer not the Lord's prayer because Jesus cannot pray to be delivered from evil and has never sinned against his neighbor

In The Prayer of the Lord, Dr. R.C. Sproul writes, "Jesus' intent was to give His disciples a model prayer, an example to follow, one that would teach them transferrable principles for conversation with God.
