oh my! thank you so much for posting this message! It is the best sermon I have ever heard on the Holy Spirit. Who He is and His ministry to Christians! How marvellous! I will continue to listen to these sermons on Ligonier Ministries!
Scripture says all creation is groaning together, which reminded me of a documentary I watched once where they put microphones down into a volcano. It wasn't erupting of course. But all kinds of sounds came over that microphone that couldn't be heard from up above. They called it volcano music or something like that. But it could definitely be called groanings. Just Something that came to mind while I was listening. Great message! Thank you!

Dr. Ferguson is such a wonderful teacher, he would be a runner up to Dr. Sproul who is my favorite Ligonier is wonderful and the ministry is blessed by all the resources and materials they put out. All in all everyone of the teaching fellows are awesome. Thanks so much for all that is done for his glory.
It was my mother’s favourite saying: “Children should be seen and not heard at the table”. I have raised my own children very differently! They are allowed a voice and an opinion. Thank you, dear Dr. Ferguson, for yet another wonderful illustration of God’s goodness and great love for us. The story of your cousin, and how his wife knew exactly what he was saying and what he needed, was very touching. It blesses me to know that our Heavenly Father knows and understands us in the same way; He knows what we need before we even ask. The Holy Spirit has always been a bit of a mystery to me; thank you for helping me to understand Him more. God bless you, your family, and your ministry.
Love this GOD tears down my walls to turn me into a palace! YES GOD tear down these walls so you can dwell in me! Yes I groan an desire to have son mortified in me! This makes perfectly beautiful sense according to my life coming to Christ! 🙏🏼🕊🙌🏼🔥
I don't often hear about the county I live within a sermon. Sad to say, the roads haven't got much better in Caithness since the 50s, haha. Thank you for this sermon. God bless
As the Spirit of God reveals to His redeemed child the unsurpassable glory that awaits him or her, there is a deep groaning; a yearning, what my beloved pastor called 'holy dissatisfaction/discontent", produced within the one redeemed to bring the best glory you God. What a descriptive words to use for the Holy Spirit - the Helper. That is also what our blessed Lord said about the Spirit, " When the Spirit comes, THE HELPER, ...". How tender and gracious our Lord and Father is!!!

Oh my goodness. I thought that I was the only kid whose parents said," children should be seen and not heard".
I've only heard, 'women should be seen and not heard' and it's equally painful😢
