Some thing is happening to me I’ve never heard the word taught like this and I feel a thirty year oppression coming off me. I have been crying out to the Lord for a supernatural healing to no avail and now I see I need to abide in the vine there is work I need to do in faith to activate grace through prayer and denying the flesh. I am happy and feel peace that I’m on a path to discover my Savior again.
Don’t forget that grace, by definition, is a free gift, and there is nothing you can do to earn it. Christ did all of the work on the cross already, don’t try to take anything away from that work of your salvation. Your good works resulting from a love for Christ, as a regenerated person, come because Christ loved you first.

I’m laid low in the dust. This is the best sermon I’ve ever heard on abiding in Jesus, as well as the connectivity of abiding to Christian hedonism. The reality that I have even just a smidge of experiential knowledge of what he is preaching is sheer mercy in my life. I will be referring this sermon as a reference for many.

This makes prayer a work under the Law. The books of MMLJ are all under the Law according to Jesus. “Born of a woman under the Law”. No mention of “a new creature or the Body of Christ”, so how can this align with Paul’s Epistle that says, “Grace alone”?
Obedience signifies our abiding in Christ! We learn in James 2:19 that even the demons believe! Does that mean that the demons saved? How do we know if we believe then? In order to find out if we believe in Jesus we must believe His word is truth. HIS word is first, not the apostles, not Paul and not your pastor or priest HIS! We need to read the words of our Messiah and use THEM as the standard. In that remember Jesus also said: Do """"ALL""""" that Moses said. Matthew 23:1-3 In John 5:47 Jesus says "But if you dont believe in Moses writings, how will you believe in His! In Luke 16:31 "" If they dont listen to Moses & the prophets, they won't listen if someone rises from the dead"" Gee I wonder do you who rose from the dead that He was talking about? It comes down to this; if you dont accept Moses writings, or the prophets, you won't accept what Jesus says. Jesus ""never contradicted the Father therefore He never contradicted what Moses wrote. Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved. We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you. Take comfort knowing that we are not like God. We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did. So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God? So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you. WOW, do you lack understanding if that is what you understand him to be saying. Before making accusations, may suggest you study the Bible and see what God's perspective is. I suggest getting a concordance of Bible words like Strongs. Then, I would do a word study on predestination, foreordained, foreordination, elect , adoption, and purpose in relation to God's purpose. Also, the word "all" since it is a word you probably cling to Reconcile that word all the previous words. I would encourage you to also do a study on the word "call" and "draw and what" those words mean. Until then, I would stay away from criticizing and accusing John Piper.
