  • Richard Sherman interviews Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett about the differences between Geno Smith and Russell Wilson, how Pete Carroll has changed his approach this season with Wilson on the Denver Broncos, and what impact rookies Tariq Woolen and Kenneth Walker III are making on the Seahawks' season. Lockett gives an update on his injury status and his availability for Seattle's Week 17 matchup with the Jets, and explains why he had to hold himself back while live tweeting the Seahawks' loss to the Chiefs. Lockett clarifies his "credit" comments from earlier this year and breaks down why he and DK Metcalf remain underrated.

Wow bro I consider myself a HUGE football fan but I had never thought about the point about Geno’s mentality all those years preparing as if he was a starting QB to get no game snaps. That is absolutely wild I am so glad he said that because I had never even considered that.
I can’t imagine how frustrating that is for Geno. To see his success this season has been refreshing as a big Geno Smith fan
Edit: I just finished the part where Sherm talks about post-football and how he has become obsessed with being the best dad and I just wanna commend him for talking about this.
Not sure if everyone remembers the video that was circulating of Sherm clearly in a bad state of mind trying to get into his baby momma’s parents from 2021 which broke my heart to see circulate the internet. Because it was so clear this was out of character for Sherm. Seeing people mock him for something that was so serious broke my heart and I just wanted to point out how far he has come to prove that video people were showing on the news is not Richard Sherman’s true character and I just love to see his growth to get out of that bad mind state as he adapted to developing a new daily routine away from football centered around his children

What a great interview! Lockett is first-team All-Pro every year in my heart. He was Russell's security blanket for years, and now he's Geno's "I need a play" go-to receiver. Was so obvious vs. KC how much Geno and the Hawks missed Tyler. Love how Sherm drew him out, great interview, helped us see Tyler the person, the man, and how his heart and his character lead to his greatness on the field!

Being from Seattle, these are two of my favorite dudes right here. Such amazing ambassadors of sports and life. I love sherm talking about his kids at the end and the joy of seeing your kids succeed and learn. So many good lessons on this one I'll be rewatching this later with my 11 yo son who is a monster fan of both of you too! Great podcast!
