    Great video just 1 question do you add a disclaimer about not being a break away lanyard.

      Hi Cindy, thank you. I’m not sure, I think if your selling the lanyards you would need to put a disclaimer that it is not a breakaway lanyard. But you should check with someone that knows more about legal stuff. Thanks for watching.🤗💗

    Hi Robin, I bought a darling wide elastic lanyard with a swivel clip at the bottom. HOWEVER the way that it is sewn it is aggravating ad it is in the conventional style and the elastic is too wide and stiff to allow it to lay straight on a persons neck ( especially if they are using another other kind of strap like a bag or a leash etc.) I bought it from Amazon and will be returning it because it is just to backward and twisty. I think you ough to reach out to them as well as to how to make them better, because it would be your consel that helped out. Thanks.

    Hi 👋 I’m hoping you can please help me. I’m using this type of technique to make a drawstring for a basket liner. The drawstring had to be longer so I sewed strips together to achieve my length. Now that I have it all folded and ready to sew, I’m struggling where the seams of my strips are. My Singer 6600C HD doesn’t want to move it forward. I’m wondering if I need to lengthen my stitch, use a different foot from the standard one, or something else you may suggest. I’m very new to sewing and I’m not exactly sure what to do. Please and thank you in advance for any help.

    • @RobynsLoveofSewing
      @RobynsLoveofSewing  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, without being able to see how you sewed the strips together, it sounds like there is too much bulk in the seam for your sewing machine to sew over. The trick is to sew your strips together on a diagonal, so when you fold it together the seam allowance is less bulky. Here is a video to show you how to do this ruclips.net/video/5C1nhGSTy4U/видео.htmlsi=R7Q93w1zcXdV6R36 and then it will be much easier to sew through. Hope this helps you!🤗🩷 If you still need help let me know and I will try to make a video to show you how.🤗🩷🌸

    What do people use these for?

      Hi John, they use them to hold their keys and or their work ID badges.
      Thank you for watching!😊

    Why do you use zipper foot?

    • @RobynsLoveofSewing
      @RobynsLoveofSewing  2 года назад +1

      Hi Carolyn! I used the zipper foot so I could sew as close to the metal clasp as I could, while the zipper foot protected me from sewing on the metal clasp and break my needle. It’s just a personal preference, you could use your basic foot too. Thank you so much for watching!😊💗

      @@RobynsLoveofSewing do you have a video to show how to make a eyeglass necklace out of fabric? Made your lanyard turned out really nice!

      @@carolynmcdonald2376 Hi Carolyn, So glad your lanyard came out great! Sorry I don’t have a video yet about making a fabric eyeglass necklace, but I can make a video for you. Are you talking about the fabric scarf eyeglass holder with the little rubber loop at bottom to hold eyeglasses? Or a thinner fabric lanyard like the one in this video but with the rubber loops to hold eyeglasses? Let me know and I will make a video showing you how to make one.
      Thank you so much for watching and for your comments! I really appreciate it!🥰💗
