I'm glad someone said it. You're not alone in getting "the creeps" from her. I couldn't necessarily put my finger on it until I heard you say it that way, but there's a sort of detached 'scientist dissecting a bug' vibe I get every time I see her interact with another person. I'm being melodramatic; but the most well known comparison I could make would be to the recent James Somerton apology videos after that little plagiarism kerfuffle last December. Or any video of Kenneth Copeland talking. There's just something "off" where their actions or words don't quite match their eyes. It's hard to articulate, but "gives me the creeps" is an accurate assessment.

I know how you feel. I’m basically in the exact same demographic and I can’t make heads or tails out of this relationship. I even went back and rewatched Natalie Wynn’s Twilight video which is quiet in-depth in it’s analysis of romance as a genre. Usually this only works if the antagonist has some positive qualities about him which the female protagonist cultivates into a rehabilitation of his character. I see nothing to rehab with The Stranger. How do you rehab crap? I guess unless you leave it up to your fan base to do it for you as Leslie appears to be doing. I keep finding that the biggest issue that I’m finding with this series is a serious lack of set ups. Especially here. It’s like “suddenly relationship!” where there clearly isn’t one. This isn’t how people work. Great video btw. She’s always been my favorite Catwoman.

Omg thank you so much for putting so much effort into this! I am so grateful to see this episode put into real context about what’s happening here and spoken about with the seriousness it deserves, but not without effective and appropriately placed humor 😂
I get that it’s funny to make jokes about the absurdity of this situation in Star Wars (I have also enjoyed many a video making fun of the episode), but the real implications of all of this are just so chilling. It would be one thing if osha was afraid, like ANY woman would be, or if Headland seemed to understand what a truly nightmarish scenario her character was in. Or if this was a fanfic turned movie specifically for adults who can delineate between potentially problematic fantasy relationship dynamics which can have sex appeal and appropriate behavior and/or healthy relationship dynamics. But all the context together is just…oof.
You do such a good job of balancing humor and real commentary, not just here but also in your other videos, which I think is something we all enjoyed about Lucas’s Star Wars to begin with. Given that the whole show feels like the tv version of when that woman “restored” the Jesus painting, except if she had cut it up and collaged it with works from other great artists, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had also seen it make the rounds during Pride month and decided to “borrow” it.

I don’t feel like we’d agree on much for one I don’t like the use of glasses as props (though I do understand it, branding)… but I agree that Acolyte, and a lot of other modern writing, is bad.
5:54 oh my gosh… she actually planned this contrived mess. Reylo for the mess that that was actually had chemistry. That was the one moment in The Force Awakens that poor Daisy Ridley looked like she was genuinely into anything that was happening. But this time it is really contrived and it is fanfic juvenile fanfic I wrote that story too in high-school as well, but I don’t think it’s awesome!

Another great video analysis 👏🏾!! You've knocked it out of the park again 😁👍🏾. It's weird how consistent Headland is at claiming for one thing, backtracking, and then justifying her decisions. At this point I'm not even sure whi she's writing for 😅. She wants to insert her ideals, but she cant keep that straight 😅, as she's now pushing for the eerily creepy "Qimir/Osha" romance. So who is this written for? What audience is she entertaining? Herself? Anyways, great job on your video, keep up the good work! 😊

7:05 Her just ✨️ FAKE IT UNTIL YOU MAKE IT! ✨️ is so insulting to serious writers, directors and producers everywhere. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ She's a 🤡 that thinks she's reclaiming something and being an honest badass by admittedly saying she HAD and HAS NO idea what she's doing. Yup, sounds about right! And it looks like she didn't learn anything between filming The Crapolyte and now, even! So when will she learn? I hope Hollywood doesn't give her another $1 to make a giant underwhelming pile of doo doo. Why is it that most people need to work their way up but some are handed enormous amounts of money to learn along the way. Where the hell do I get a gig like that? Sounds sweet! 😂

Okay so as a middle aged man I really love your content! I remember being a little kid and seeing Return of the Jedi in the theater. As a young boy it was SOOO thrilling. I've gotten such a kick out of the online reviews of this hot garbage! I found you recently and agree 1000%. LessLee Headband is just AWFUL! You can tell from her interviews this is a woman you don't want to be around. She gives me complete AWKWARD vibes. Like in a meeting she'd blurt out something completely inappropriate. And she'd be an HR nightmare. Regardless. This show. Why the overt sexuality? How can you possibly sell any merch(I'm thinking actual kids toys) What kid would watch this? Star Wars has always been GOOD v EVIL with good acting-ish GREAT story, and SPACE BATTLES!!! But somehow this show is a mess top to bottom. Clunky writing wooden acting and these constant awkward themes that just make me cringe. Examples: the weird chipmunk thing, the coven that was made of ROCK and burned down, space fires, and now we get 50 shades of Osha? I can see it now....Acolyte Lightsaber vibrators and I just don't want that in a franchise that was pure and wholesome. Kathleen Kennedy and LessLee Headband ;) should be REMOVED from any future StarWars IP. Get someone who likes the world and isn't writing a high-school play complete with a high school cast. I'm mad that someone defaced a franchise I loved. Am I allowed to feel like that or does that make me a phone or ist?

As an on-again, off-again writer, the fact this show is playing into the "Oh no, he's hot!" thirst trap corruption idiocy drives me up the wall. How the hell did this tumblr-tier slashfic nonsense of a script get approved?! The usage of this trope is only believable if the corruption is played out over time, not in the matter of a single day. Perhaps he's manipulating Osha through psychological shenanigans, but the way the writing is so slapdash gives us zero indication this is the case. Additionally, 'enemies to lovers' only really works when the enemies have an established history/common goal/literally something that connects them. Osha and Qimir have... they both washed out of the Jedi Order? That... isn't a unique connection at all, and definitely not something would normally cause a 'spark' that would make 'enemies to lovers' make sense.
3:20 Ah yes, Cortosis, the metal that -focuses the Force- has absolutely zero effect on the Force even in Disney's own canon version of the metal (otherwise Anakin Skywalker, the first person to deal with it in Disney's canon, would've noticed the effects on the Force when he encountered it in the Uknown Regions). The fact the writers took a metal that was known to the lore nerds and managed to screw it up is frankly infuriating. Doubly so since *unlike* with the Star Wars EU, where we had G-Canon (Lucas's films/projects), Book-Canon, and then Video game canon in terms of which held more weight in discussions, Disney's letting Acolyte's writers contradict _Disney SW lore_ because every piece of canon in Disney Star Wars holds equal weight.

Cat ladies thirsting for light saber phallus innuendo is doing cat ladies a disservice I would think. Now if Qimir has a pet then you might be talking haha. Pet trap AND a thirst trap for ladies of a certain disposition. This episode was certainly uncomfortable in places and the comic "inserts" are done so horribly I'm willing to forgive Jar Jar. Even the numb tongue scene. The murderer Mae getting squirted Mr Bean style was possibly the most cringe scene I've ever seen in Star Wars.

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but watch Headland’s interviews. If she’s within touching distance of the person she’s talking to, she’ll likely reach out and touch them, usually on the arm. Her apparent lack of respect for personal space has always bothered me, but it’s so on brand for her.
As for the show, I won’t offer any input, I stopped watching Disney Star Wars years ago. I can’t remember what the names of the new movies are, saw the first one in the theater, thought it was disjointed but had potential. I then proceeded to fall asleep, in the theater, in the second one, that was the end for me. I still don’t know what the Snokes character was there for. They were all over that character then, poof, gone without it even being difficult. Oddly I just read the Wikipedia page for the character, this prompted me to wonder again, and it reads like “he did this”, “he did that”, which is one of my core issues with stories, they’re just an endless series of “I did this, “then I did that”, “and then i”.
Frodo walked out of the Shire. Frodo met friends. He then ran around on an adventure. The wizard died. They fought the bad guys. The end.
