    New Brake Pad & Rotor Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ABF...
    Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2006-10 Dodge Charger.

    Bore brushes come in many sizes I would imagine. What size bore brush is used for the 2006 - 2010 Dodge charger caliper bores?

    Did I miss the step where you compress the piston? Also, does the e-brake hardware ever need to be replaced, or is it generally good for the life of the car?

    • @TheSteveoTube
      @TheSteveoTube 3 года назад +1

      You did miss that step, but he didn't. I learned a new technique there! Before he took the caliper off he stuck a pry bar in and leveraged the piston against the rotor. Start watching at 0:20 and you'll see it. He's quick, man!

      Replace that whenever you want, or when it breaks or gives you issues.

      @@TheSteveoTube That only worked because his pads were barely worn. If you have squealing pads (worn down all the way), the caliper would be fully compressed. You will certainly need the caliper tool to decompress it in order to fit new pads.

    I've always changed my brakes on previous cars, but never on my Charger. I swapped out the brake pads on the Charger yesterday, but am now getting a FCW off light. Is there a sensor that I should be watching out for in the assembly?

    Online some rotors say they’re premium g coated. Do you need to clean those prior to install too? Or will it just take the coating off

    Good Job but how do you replace the parking brake shoes.

    Any idea why the bolts won’t budge? Torque wrench is battery pack and it dosnt provide anywhere near the torque I need. Iv changed rotors plenty on other cars but on my charger they will not loosen. I have a few threads showing on the bolts and it still isn’t easing up. The 10th then is just as hard as the 1st. Ended up leaving the rotors and just doing the breaks out of fear of snapping the bolts. After a few spins they SHOULD become easier to take off
