Both the lust and love track go together, in lust he talks about the people that just want the benefits from rap, while love talks about his love for rap, making two different types of feelings. The reason he says "let me put the head in" is because that's all people would be fine with. "I need some water, something came over me" He needs holy water, sin has taken over. People seem to only be paying attention to the chorus thinking that Kendrick is talking to a girl, but if you put the 2 verses together with the chorus then ypou get the much bigger picture. You guys will thank me later.
