most players rolling shamans/paladins will get declined by their raids because they already recruited other shamans and paladins? do you not see the logical fallacy in that statement?
Most people aren't going to poopsock it and play 16 hours a day, that's who he's saying is going to take the raid spots over the people who spent 3-4 weeks leveling new toons
The #Nochanges attitude has to be put aside, permanently. An MMO needs moderation, it needs active GMs seeing problems/exploits and then actively fixing them (either with suspensions/bans or patches). For TBC to be successful, they need to hire more people to monitor the game and make changes quickly.
In fact many of things retail has today are there because the community demanded them. If they try to play tbc the same way they played classic/retail its gonna be a shitshow :(
Same, this is also my main concern. I just really hope that I can find a non min-max guild to play with where people can play what they enjoy and just take it all at our own pace. But hey, odds are low on an EU PVP server I suppose.
I play on anathema, the 4th smallest server. They promised repeatedly that the war effort would autocpmplete. It never did. After 10 days of lies, an article was published on IGN about their failure. They finally manually turned on the auto complete. If they can't even handle the scheduled milestone events, and they lie about it repeatedly, there's no chance they are putting a genuine effort into stopping bots.
I hope they do something about some of the raids tank requirement in order to not having a huge lack of tanks when the tier 5 starts... huge problem with tbc is lack of tanks
my opinions on solving faction imbalance: add faction specific queues to each realm, so that at least the online amount of players will even out a bit, and if its a horde dominated server they need to wait while alliance will get straight in, would #1 balance out the population a bit and #2 balance out the active player base. Or, as many private servers have done, add dual spec to alliance (but one where you need to for example log off and activate it on your account page, or visit the trainer - so it wont add a benefit to worlds first races). Would also make it so alliance has that one extra carrot in a horde dominated world.
The first one is an interesting idea, that's something I thought about in the past, I wonder how it would actually play out in practice. As for giving any advantage for alliance I just don't think that's going to happen unfortunately, I could be wrong tho.
Tbh if we consider drums as a problem then heroism/bloodlust also a problem because top guilds makes a hunter party contains of 3 hunter 1 feral 1 shammy and raid will have total of 5 shammies. On top of drum cycle shammies also cycling their BL for hunter party and pushing meters like that. So problem is haste buff itself so it is a hard thing to do and i think there should be a debuff for each not only drums
There are also likely will be fresh realms for new or rerolling players - should be able to offer a prepatch leveling for anyone, not only new races, plus playing on a realm without pre-existing insane economy and population.
How I would solve faction issue. On character selection screen you get to choose your racial. Whatever race you wish, you can choose from the list of all radials and select wotf for example on a gnome, equally an UD could select stone form.
I think warzone was a good compromise of pvp vs pve servers. It could really help classic servers, you can debate whether to add the exp/rep buff but even a "vanilla" warzone would probably help faction imbalance.
Wardrums was a Good suggestion. Also prerelease drenai and bloodelf sounded really smart. Now they should also move the 30% threat reduction from spirit weapons talent for shamans so for those who want tanking as shamans can do that :) That singel talent killed shaman tanking.
i aggre with all except the drums concern. i dont think they should give the debuff because then shamans bloodlust would basically be useless and never used. stacking drums in each party to have full uptime is something only the hardcore guild will do and average guilds just be happy for anyone who wanna go LW to use it. its what i think atleast.
The Dranei/Blood Elf prepatch issue and the bot issue go hand in hand. The starter zones for both of those races are technically located in Outlands. If we were allowed to create characters in these zones early, bots would most likely be able to find a way to teleport into other Outlands zones and could possibly load assets/actors such as gathering nodes or even mobs which they could then farm to gain materials early on which would devestate the economy from day one. Blizzard would either have to actually address the bot problem, (lol we know that isn't going to happen, retail has been infested with bots for years with little being done), or they would have to alter the locations of the starter zones so that they are located in the old world, (something that I also think would be too much work for Blizzard to invest in). Sadly, because of this I think it is very unlikely that we'll be able to level Dranei or Blood Elves early.
I'm still on the fence about dranei and Blood elves leveling during pre-patch, hellfire is going to be an absolute clusterfuck for a long time (wouldn't be surprised if both the Outland zones and the instance servers melt). Having the option of making meaningful progress on a character while Outland is in chaos is nice. It also helps facilitate early re-rolls into the more OP horde faction, instead of providing a small barrier to re-rolling. Also, Spell batching has kind of been addressed today already, the PTR just got an update for the classic client that lowers the batch window to 10ms. But it needs thorough testing in order to check spell interactions are working properly.
Yeah the first few days are going to be an absolute cluster fuck for sure, I talked about it in the other video and I really don't know how they could go about practically fixing it, to be honest I think they will just throw a million layers at the problem lol. Also yeah fricking Blizzard fixing spell batching 1 hour after I post this video.
WCL will be made irrelevant, or at best, have a cap for alliance that is not 99. It is bad business to not separate A vs H in the logs. They should be seriously considering doing so.
What if there were items you could farm, or a long quest chain that would allow you to change to any racial ability available to your class (horde or alliance). It could only be done at max level, and would require a large time investment. This way your racial abilities are still relevant through leveling, but at end game things would be way more balanced between factions.
i enjoyed the "upwards of 10 min" for horde bg queues :P highest i've seen it, 2 hrs 45 min, avg 2 hrs, lowest hr and a half. i wish it was 10-30 min lol
DKs released day one of wotlk, aalso blizzard said they will be tweaking drums of battle which means they will probably be adding that effect to the drums, no spell batching in tbc either.
No racials for pvp or maybe add different game modes for bg/arena like no racials , food/water cap, stalemate breakers like dampen or map objective that forces a play etc
4:18 Blood Elves and Draenai at Launch This also concerns me as I'm planning on switching my current main to to something else and if Blizzard doesn't change anything I'm afraid that by the time I reach my character to lvl70 all my guild mates have already completed everything and I'm only there for sloppy seconds. So I agree that having that pre-expansion patch would be a good thing, with the addition of having all the raids being locked for couple weeks after launch. Personally I don't see any harm in this as this would give those players who are switching characters more than enough time to get on the same starting line as their guild mates. 10:27 Bots This is probably my biggest concern for TBC Classic, because currently in WoW Classic Bots are ruining the economy and Blizzard has shown us that they simply don't care or don't know how to deal with them permanently. Blizzard does have the resources to get rid of botting (they're multi billion$ company after all) and they could have got rid of bot makers twice already if they truly wanted to. So I fear that the Bots aren't going anywhere in TBC Classic, in fact, I fear it will be quite the opposite as TBC is going to be more popular than Classic was.
If WoW Classic had a real human moderation team, they would be able to investigate tickets and reports and ban bots on the spot, instead of an automated anticheat playing cat and mouse with bot software detection signatures. However, most companies (including blizzard) have switched over to automated anticheat systems because they don't require salaries.
I like playing both factions, i've got 60s on both in retail and i've got 60s on both in classic, with TBC though I think alliance would only ever be an alt for me unless there's super high pop alliance pve server. For every other server it just seems more worth it to play horde.
Weirdly enough every PvE servers is highly in favor of alliance as far as population goes, never understood why, it was also the case on retail before they switched to the warmode system.

I feel like they gotta stagger raid content better - lairs should be launch or 2nd week, with kara after a few weeks and then normal raid launches following that Will hopefully increase longevity of raids being relevant Also no leeway, hopefully that will go away with spell batching
Yep, I spoke about this point in the other concerns video. They definitely should stagger the content and not release all of T4 and T5 at once like it was back in the day.
im sure plenty of people will want to boost stockades/sm/mara in the first weeks of TBC launch. oh wait, they won't. there's also a cap to AoE damage introduced in tbc fwiw.

Patch 1.13.7 on the PTR: "Blizzard is looking to reduce Spell Batching from 400ms to 10ms with this patch and is looking for feedback about this change." So at least that might be sorted. ... I'd still like to get dual spec.
*How will BC succeed?* 1:Make the bosses more difficult, more health to suite the current generation 2:Give a CD to things like Bloodlust so they can't be spammed and 2 shot bosses 3:Done. that's it, the #nochanges is what made classic worse. If you really want no changes, you should consider then how hard it was back then, and now. And adjust it to be more accurate to that time. no matter what anyone says, this is what should be done.
you didnt mention horde paladins getting seal of blood vs alliance ones getting not seal of blood, thats huge, that needs fixing as it is a huge dps disparity, there is no reason to play alliance on tbc at all for raiding.
If you nerf drums, then jewelcrafting will be required for the necklace that gives party stats. Nerf that, then enchanting for ring enchants. Nerf all that and then you're at retail where professions have become irrelevant. Professions being required in any capacity is the only thing that actually validates the time sink into them.
My only concern is the amount of layers that will be required to cope with these huge server populations cramming into one or two starting zones in TBC. It's going to require a lot I think

batching and melee leeway are going to be an even bigger problem then they are now with arenas coming out in tbc. batching and leeway need to be cut in atleast half, and things like interrupts that were supposed to have their own batch window need to be fixed. if its not changed, get ready to get smacked by a tauren through the nagrand pillars.

pattern recognition would be a simple and effective way of banning bots. no human can replicate the exact same actions every single time. repeated actions and multiple repeated actions define what makes a bot. they do one thing over and over. some bots that i've seen are mages so they also drink after every kill. again, no player is going to drink with 70% mana remaining after a single kill.
As much as TBC is my favorite time in WOW by a lot, sadly it will be ruined like classic wow was purly due to how advanced players play now. Classic wow only felt like classic on launch when leveling. After that it felt alien to me and nearly nothing like it did when classic was live. Hell even leveling felt weird due to the dungeon scene being me (lock) 3 mages and a healer...
Yeaaah... the min maxing meta is really making the game worse. Unfortunately I don't know if we can do anything about it, players are just like that in 2021. The best thing one can do is find a guild / community / servers with like minded people.
I personally feel it will be less for TBC. There weren't as many private servers for TBC as there were for Vanilla, so it might be that at the start of each release patch/phase, things might change. Sure, there is a general knowledge already about what item is BiS, what tactics to use etc. But to me it feels like as it isn't as depth or numbercrunched as Classic was, as you could see BiS list from the launch up untill Naxx

Aye good points, I do think that blizz should just remove the requirement to have lw to use drums. I can see some die hards crying if they added exhaustion. Personally I'd be cool with it. It would go far to stop a "ooh no tbc classic is too easy" wave
I would like a dungeon finder like today but restricted to the server you are playing AND you have to get to the dungeon yourself or be summoned there. I can't stand the LFG messages and in the end you end up with a group of randoms anyway. Same thing.
My biggest concern are players like yourself that suggested #NoChanges was something everyone wanted from the beginning, most of us thought only streamers and small groups wanted no changes...most of us wanted an improved experience. WoW Classic is brilliant, but I gave up at lvl 60 knowing that'll follow the same path Classic > TBC > WotLK ....they needed to change the game to inherit the good each expac brought, and prevent the negatives. Classic should have been released with BE Paly's and Draenei Shaman...they should have made Classic with class / spec changes to make more of them viable. They should have worked on a roadmap to release Kara, Hyjal, ZA etc. TBC will fail in my eyes because they'll increase the level cap. I think @Nmidia you shouldn't suggest BEs need to level in a pre-patch, or else you create a culture that end game is the only game....what's wrong with wanting to do Karazhan 12 months after launch? What's wrong with wanting to go back and do AQ40? This constant idea of min/maxing and racing through content to end game is the kind of behaviour that breaks the game, it makes Blizz need to constantly keep replacing the end game content with the latest patch; as opposed to complimenting the content...that was the issue with Live, that's the issue with Classic, that's going to be the issue with TBC
spell batching should be removed i cant count how many times my casts get interrupted while i wasnt even casting at that moment in classic it makes fake casting much harder that it should be
swapping meta is a big part of keeping a game enjoyable. i think its great that horde gets the turn now after alliance was so superior in classic. no concern for me rather a nice swap
Wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard actually just let's the botting slide... a lot. Paid accounts are more $ in their pocket, so long as the community thinks and sees some sort of action is being taken. Introducing the token would ruin the look and feel of WoW classic, but if bots do it, and Blizzard gets a payout in some fashion or another. It works for them. Again if the community doesn't uprise and show a huge resentment for it. Players buy gold and only further perpetuate this process. Remove bots entirely, that's loss of revenue on Blizzard's part. Blizzard is ultimately a business. They're goal is to make profits and to keep the player base happy and committed to their product/service.
My 2 biggest concerns are: raiding will be very raid-logy and arena meta will be extremely cancerous. First month will be glorious with a lot of goals to achive and gold to be wasted on BoEs, but after that without consumes stacking like in classic gold farm between raids won't be needed at all. And arenas never were a strong part of TBC and with meta already established I'm afraid it will be hard to find it enjoyable at all. And maybe speedruning raids will not be as viable as in classic and raiding will become even more dull.
Interesting why do you think raiding will be raid loggy ? Well I definitely agree for tier 4 cause it's super easy but I do believe T5 and up will offer quite a challenge, especially if they fix the drums of battle issue.
@@NumidiaWoW Without any additional tuning raids will still be cleared within 1 raid night I'm sure. Mb Sunwell will take 2 days for mediocre teams like Nax now. It's known issue from private servers that in TBC there are not much to do outside pvp between raids. But first two months will be oversaturated with heroic spam, atunements, professions etc. Consumes in TBC cost pennies compared to Classic and gold farms become insanly profitable. Alts save the day as usual for some ppl.
Yeah that's the private server I showed the "incentivization" systems for in this video. They went to extreme lengths to fix it tho and I'm really not sure Blizzard would even consider doing 1% of that.
The reason players think blizzard is doing nothing about bots is likely because they believe anyone without a guild who has no interest in answering their “are you a bot” test questions, are definitely bots. And they can’t fathom why Blizzard won’t ban them after a report.
Blizzard does not want to rid the game of bots. Its a huge source of income for Blizzard. See it like this, Botter buys 20 copies of retail and then subs to get access to classic, bots in classic for 60 to 90 days, makes a profit , then blizzard bans the bots in a ban wave. The botter just buys another 20 copies of the game and resubs again and goes about botting for another 60 to 90 days. Blizzard makes money the botter makes money its a win win for both involved. those incrimental sales and subs from the botters make a lot of extra money for Blizzard, more than what they lose from players complaining about bots. These ban waves makes an appearance that Blizzard is doing something to combat them when all actuality they are in support of this cycle.
Woot! :O We leveld BElves to 60 in 2 Week back in the day! You just get a high level to pull you dungeons for houres and you can do it in 2 days. What you really dont have on your radar is the Arena. People will SELL Arena Carrys and make tons of Gold doing so. Only a few combos are strong and the min maxing will make it so only 2-3 combos will ever been seen in Arena. And Multiboxer will farm casual Players all day for fun. After leveling the game will be over for everyone. The game wasnt balanced then and it wont be now.
I rolled a draeni shaman... Just gotta be on it that first week to level it up. I had a spot because I was one of the first ally shams on the server. I'm sure communication with your raid lead will solve this if it happens. Solid concern tho.
I hope they realize from Classic that the way people are approaching the game is different from years ago and that they need to make changes and tweaks to account for it. Releasing it identical to 2007 will make it a complete shitshow like Classic turned out to be by people bringing a modern retail mindset to a 15-year-old game.
Private server player for 2-3 years now. Coming to terms with the fact that I will have to roll horde for the first time ever. Both servers I played were and are all horde dominated for Both pvp and pve.
All they need to do to counter bots is increase spawn rates and locations of things like black lotus and plaguebloom. Quit making those items so rare, this will offset the bots and keep the price low in AH.
To help with faction imbalance, have faction based queue times. For large servers like Whitemane and Arugal when theres too many people on server there are queues. Make the dominant faction wait longer in the queue.
About bots... its not like they do nothing...but they only take action after the players send multiple reports and have to wait for so long!! Where are the GMs ??? Let me tell you where they are.. sacked by Actnoobvision

They need to give at least a month before the Dark Portal Opens where people can level Draenei and Blood Elves, it's the only way to make people not feel screwed.
There were literally none of these problems in TBC. Never saw it once. I leveled a pally after tbc launched and got ushered to one of the top guilds in the world at the time. Skills over classes in TBC. If you dont get a raid stop its cause you are not as good as the next player. Leatjerworking was great but you only need it for sunwell. Brutalis specifically.
Many things in classic that I never saw in vanilla either. It's that mindset that caused #nochanges to ruin Classic. People didn't raid log with millions of buffs in vanilla, people didn't farm thousands of gold with mage AoE farm in vanilla, people didn't force you to have a website specific spec for the easy ass raids in vanilla; they do all of these things in classic. People will 100% prioritize people with Drums of War for raid invites, they all 'think' they are required because guides tell them so. It's a different culture of players. Things that we never saw in TBC, we will see in Classic TBC. Different players, different mindset. Blizzard has to fix these things.
TBC is the games best state it ever had ( for me ) and the fact they are bringing a lvl boost into the game just makes me sad. They are ruining their, in my eyes, masterpiece.

The worst part is if they do both a progressive server where characters move on and do fresh servers then I think the fresh ones won't be as popular

True and it's always funny how tanks are always super rare for pugs but super common to recruit them as a guild.

It's classic wow, if the nostalgia is the best thing about the game then it's served it purpose. Everything else is a bonus
It's not only nostalgia people are playing it for, though. It's a very different game from retail. Some people prefer that type of game.

I think warzone was a good compromise of pvp vs pve servers. It could really help classic servers, you can debate whether to add the exp/rep buff but even a "vanilla" warzone would probably help faction imbalance.
Wardrums was a Good suggestion. Also prerelease drenai and bloodelf sounded really smart. Now they should also move the 30% threat reduction from spirit weapons talent for shamans so for those who want tanking as shamans can do that :) That singel talent killed shaman tanking.

i aggre with all except the drums concern. i dont think they should give the debuff because then shamans bloodlust would basically be useless and never used. stacking drums in each party to have full uptime is something only the hardcore guild will do and average guilds just be happy for anyone who wanna go LW to use it. its what i think atleast.
The Dranei/Blood Elf prepatch issue and the bot issue go hand in hand. The starter zones for both of those races are technically located in Outlands. If we were allowed to create characters in these zones early, bots would most likely be able to find a way to teleport into other Outlands zones and could possibly load assets/actors such as gathering nodes or even mobs which they could then farm to gain materials early on which would devestate the economy from day one.
Blizzard would either have to actually address the bot problem, (lol we know that isn't going to happen, retail has been infested with bots for years with little being done), or they would have to alter the locations of the starter zones so that they are located in the old world, (something that I also think would be too much work for Blizzard to invest in).
Sadly, because of this I think it is very unlikely that we'll be able to level Dranei or Blood Elves early.

I'm still on the fence about dranei and Blood elves leveling during pre-patch, hellfire is going to be an absolute clusterfuck for a long time (wouldn't be surprised if both the Outland zones and the instance servers melt). Having the option of making meaningful progress on a character while Outland is in chaos is nice. It also helps facilitate early re-rolls into the more OP horde faction, instead of providing a small barrier to re-rolling.
Also, Spell batching has kind of been addressed today already, the PTR just got an update for the classic client that lowers the batch window to 10ms. But it needs thorough testing in order to check spell interactions are working properly.
Yeah the first few days are going to be an absolute cluster fuck for sure, I talked about it in the other video and I really don't know how they could go about practically fixing it, to be honest I think they will just throw a million layers at the problem lol.

WCL will be made irrelevant, or at best, have a cap for alliance that is not 99. It is bad business to not separate A vs H in the logs. They should be seriously considering doing so.
What if there were items you could farm, or a long quest chain that would allow you to change to any racial ability available to your class (horde or alliance). It could only be done at max level, and would require a large time investment. This way your racial abilities are still relevant through leveling, but at end game things would be way more balanced between factions.
i enjoyed the "upwards of 10 min" for horde bg queues :P highest i've seen it, 2 hrs 45 min, avg 2 hrs, lowest hr and a half. i wish it was 10-30 min lol
DKs released day one of wotlk, aalso blizzard said they will be tweaking drums of battle which means they will probably be adding that effect to the drums, no spell batching in tbc either.
Change: Drums of battle gives the sated debuff but this debuff does not apply to rogues, which would buff their raid viability.
No racials for pvp or maybe add different game modes for bg/arena like no racials , food/water cap, stalemate breakers like dampen or map objective that forces a play etc
A better way to fix drums imo it removing the LW requierment to use them. That will make them become a good goldmaker aswell

This also concerns me as I'm planning on switching my current main to to something else and if Blizzard doesn't change anything I'm afraid that by the time I reach my character to lvl70 all my guild mates have already completed everything and I'm only there for sloppy seconds.
So I agree that having that pre-expansion patch would be a good thing, with the addition of having all the raids being locked for couple weeks after launch. Personally I don't see any harm in this as this would give those players who are switching characters more than enough time to get on the same starting line as their guild mates.

This is probably my biggest concern for TBC Classic, because currently in WoW Classic Bots are ruining the economy and Blizzard has shown us that they simply don't care or don't know how to deal with them permanently.
Blizzard does have the resources to get rid of botting (they're multi billion$ company after all) and they could have got rid of bot makers twice already if they truly wanted to.
So I fear that the Bots aren't going anywhere in TBC Classic, in fact, I fear it will be quite the opposite as TBC is going to be more popular than Classic was.
If WoW Classic had a real human moderation team, they would be able to investigate tickets and reports and ban bots on the spot, instead of an automated anticheat playing cat and mouse with bot software detection signatures. However, most companies (including blizzard) have switched over to automated anticheat systems because they don't require salaries.
I like playing both factions, i've got 60s on both in retail and i've got 60s on both in classic, with TBC though I think alliance would only ever be an alt for me unless there's super high pop alliance pve server. For every other server it just seems more worth it to play horde.
Weirdly enough every PvE servers is highly in favor of alliance as far as population goes, never understood why, it was also the case on retail before they switched to the warmode system.

Yep, I spoke about this point in the other concerns video. They definitely should stagger the content and not release all of T4 and T5 at once like it was back in the day.
for the draenei/belf scenario, you can easily get boosted most of the levels and plenty of people will be dungeon boosting as groups for 60-70..
im sure plenty of people will want to boost stockades/sm/mara in the first weeks of TBC launch.
oh wait, they won't. there's also a cap to AoE damage introduced in tbc fwiw.

you didnt mention horde paladins getting seal of blood vs alliance ones getting not seal of blood, thats huge, that needs fixing as it is a huge dps disparity, there is no reason to play alliance on tbc at all for raiding.

If you nerf drums, then jewelcrafting will be required for the necklace that gives party stats. Nerf that, then enchanting for ring enchants. Nerf all that and then you're at retail where professions have become irrelevant. Professions being required in any capacity is the only thing that actually validates the time sink into them.
My only concern is the amount of layers that will be required to cope with these huge server populations cramming into one or two starting zones in TBC.

batching and melee leeway are going to be an even bigger problem then they are now with arenas coming out in tbc. batching and leeway need to be cut in atleast half, and things like interrupts that were supposed to have their own batch window need to be fixed. if its not changed, get ready to get smacked by a tauren through the nagrand pillars.

pattern recognition would be a simple and effective way of banning bots. no human can replicate the exact same actions every single time. repeated actions and multiple repeated actions define what makes a bot. they do one thing over and over. some bots that i've seen are mages so they also drink after every kill. again, no player is going to drink with 70% mana remaining after a single kill.
As much as TBC is my favorite time in WOW by a lot, sadly it will be ruined like classic wow was purly due to how advanced players play now. Classic wow only felt like classic on launch when leveling. After that it felt alien to me and nearly nothing like it did when classic was live. Hell even leveling felt weird due to the dungeon scene being me (lock) 3 mages and a healer...
Yeaaah... the min maxing meta is really making the game worse. Unfortunately I don't know if we can do anything about it, players are just like that in 2021. The best thing one can do is find a guild / community / servers with like minded people.
I personally feel it will be less for TBC. There weren't as many private servers for TBC as there were for Vanilla, so it might be that at the start of each release patch/phase, things might change.
Sure, there is a general knowledge already about what item is BiS, what tactics to use etc. But to me it feels like as it isn't as depth or numbercrunched as Classic was, as you could see BiS list from the launch up untill Naxx

I would like a dungeon finder like today but restricted to the server you are playing AND you have to get to the dungeon yourself or be summoned there. I can't stand the LFG messages and in the end you end up with a group of randoms anyway. Same thing.
My big concern is game masters. I belive they do literally nothing in Classic and Im afraid thats gonna be same im Tbc

The drums of battle isn't a design flaw. There will always be a BiS prof that the sweaty players all take.
My biggest concern are players like yourself that suggested #NoChanges was something everyone wanted from the beginning, most of us thought only streamers and small groups wanted no changes...most of us wanted an improved experience. WoW Classic is brilliant, but I gave up at lvl 60 knowing that'll follow the same path Classic > TBC > WotLK ....they needed to change the game to inherit the good each expac brought, and prevent the negatives.
Classic should have been released with BE Paly's and Draenei Shaman...they should have made Classic with class / spec changes to make more of them viable. They should have worked on a roadmap to release Kara, Hyjal, ZA etc. TBC will fail in my eyes because they'll increase the level cap. I think @Nmidia you shouldn't suggest BEs need to level in a pre-patch, or else you create a culture that end game is the only game....what's wrong with wanting to do Karazhan 12 months after launch? What's wrong with wanting to go back and do AQ40?
This constant idea of min/maxing and racing through content to end game is the kind of behaviour that breaks the game, it makes Blizz need to constantly keep replacing the end game content with the latest patch; as opposed to complimenting the content...that was the issue with Live, that's the issue with Classic, that's going to be the issue with TBC
spell batching should be removed i cant count how many times my casts get interrupted while i wasnt even casting at that moment in classic it makes fake casting much harder that it should be
swapping meta is a big part of keeping a game enjoyable. i think its great that horde gets the turn now after alliance was so superior in classic. no concern for me rather a nice swap
Alliance wasn't superior in classic. Horde dominated world pvp and every single battleground thanks to racials.

Wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard actually just let's the botting slide... a lot. Paid accounts are more $ in their pocket, so long as the community thinks and sees some sort of action is being taken. Introducing the token would ruin the look and feel of WoW classic, but if bots do it, and Blizzard gets a payout in some fashion or another. It works for them. Again if the community doesn't uprise and show a huge resentment for it. Players buy gold and only further perpetuate this process. Remove bots entirely, that's loss of revenue on Blizzard's part. Blizzard is ultimately a business. They're goal is to make profits and to keep the player base happy and committed to their product/service.
My 2 biggest concerns are: raiding will be very raid-logy and arena meta will be extremely cancerous. First month will be glorious with a lot of goals to achive and gold to be wasted on BoEs, but after that without consumes stacking like in classic gold farm between raids won't be needed at all. And arenas never were a strong part of TBC and with meta already established I'm afraid it will be hard to find it enjoyable at all. And maybe speedruning raids will not be as viable as in classic and raiding will become even more dull.

Well I definitely agree for tier 4 cause it's super easy but I do believe T5 and up will offer quite a challenge, especially if they fix the drums of battle issue.
@@NumidiaWoW Without any additional tuning raids will still be cleared within 1 raid night I'm sure. Mb Sunwell will take 2 days for mediocre teams like Nax now. It's known issue from private servers that in TBC there are not much to do outside pvp between raids. But first two months will be oversaturated with heroic spam, atunements, professions etc. Consumes in TBC cost pennies compared to Classic and gold farms become insanly profitable. Alts save the day as usual for some ppl.

Yeah that's the private server I showed the "incentivization" systems for in this video. They went to extreme lengths to fix it tho and I'm really not sure Blizzard would even consider doing 1% of that.
The reason players think blizzard is doing nothing about bots is likely because they believe anyone without a guild who has no interest in answering their “are you a bot” test questions, are definitely bots. And they can’t fathom why Blizzard won’t ban them after a report.

Blizzard does not want to rid the game of bots. Its a huge source of income for Blizzard. See it like this, Botter buys 20 copies of retail and then subs to get access to classic, bots in classic for 60 to 90 days, makes a profit , then blizzard bans the bots in a ban wave. The botter just buys another 20 copies of the game and resubs again and goes about botting for another 60 to 90 days. Blizzard makes money the botter makes money its a win win for both involved. those incrimental sales and subs from the botters make a lot of extra money for Blizzard, more than what they lose from players complaining about bots. These ban waves makes an appearance that Blizzard is doing something to combat them when all actuality they are in support of this cycle.
Remove racials in pvp(battlegrounds and arenas) and boom faction Ballance is not an issue

You just get a high level to pull you dungeons for houres and you can do it in 2 days.
What you really dont have on your radar is the Arena. People will SELL Arena Carrys and make tons of Gold doing so. Only a few combos are strong and the min maxing will make it so only 2-3 combos will ever been seen in Arena. And Multiboxer will farm casual Players all day for fun. After leveling the game will be over for everyone. The game wasnt balanced then and it wont be now.
I rolled a draeni shaman... Just gotta be on it that first week to level it up. I had a spot because I was one of the first ally shams on the server. I'm sure communication with your raid lead will solve this if it happens. Solid concern tho.
My Warlock was a PvP God aww yes great times.
I hope they realize from Classic that the way people are approaching the game is different from years ago and that they need to make changes and tweaks to account for it. Releasing it identical to 2007 will make it a complete shitshow like Classic turned out to be by people bringing a modern retail mindset to a 15-year-old game.
Private server player for 2-3 years now. Coming to terms with the fact that I will have to roll horde for the first time ever. Both servers I played were and are all horde dominated for Both pvp and pve.
All they need to do to counter bots is increase spawn rates and locations of things like black lotus and plaguebloom. Quit making those items so rare, this will offset the bots and keep the price low in AH.
To help with faction imbalance, have faction based queue times. For large servers like Whitemane and Arugal
when theres too many people on server there are queues. Make the dominant faction wait longer in the queue.
I'm pretty sure botters can tell the frequency of ban waves by when their bots are banned.

I really don't get people min maxing an old game where the difficulty is a joke.
They need to give at least a month before the Dark Portal Opens where people can level Draenei and Blood Elves, it's the only way to make people not feel screwed.

There were literally none of these problems in TBC. Never saw it once. I leveled a pally after tbc launched and got ushered to one of the top guilds in the world at the time. Skills over classes in TBC. If you dont get a raid stop its cause you are not as good as the next player. Leatjerworking was great but you only need it for sunwell. Brutalis specifically.
Many things in classic that I never saw in vanilla either. It's that mindset that caused #nochanges to ruin Classic. People didn't raid log with millions of buffs in vanilla, people didn't farm thousands of gold with mage AoE farm in vanilla, people didn't force you to have a website specific spec for the easy ass raids in vanilla; they do all of these things in classic. People will 100% prioritize people with Drums of War for raid invites, they all 'think' they are required because guides tell them so. It's a different culture of players.
Things that we never saw in TBC, we will see in Classic TBC. Different players, different mindset. Blizzard has to fix these things.

TBC is the games best state it ever had ( for me ) and the fact they are bringing a lvl boost into the game just makes me sad. They are ruining their, in my eyes, masterpiece.
