My Aunt Mary bought a new '67 Granada Gold w/Black vinyl top and interior Camaro. She was smart to get the 6 cylinder, Auto, AC, Full length console, and deluxe radio.
Smart because she was 25, single, and working as an information operator for Southwestern Bell. She lived close to work with my gradmother and rarely drove on the freeway. When the gas crisis hit in the early 70's, that car got great mpg.

Readers Digest just put this commercial up as one they think didn't age well. Obviously they are not car guys.

My wife has a Camaro exactly like this one. Bought it new and it still runs strong, 186,000 miles.

My husband's first car was a '68 Camaro 327 Rally Sport that looked just like this one except it didn't have the hood vents.

The fake hood louvers/vents are part of the SS package along with the bubble bee strip around the front, the 350 engine & some other SS options. The one in this video is a 67 SS/RS. Does your husband still have his?

I had a white 67 SS hardtop in high school back in 1971. It had the gauge pkg, deluxe interior pkg (white trim stripes on black), 2 speed power glide transmission, and 350 ci engine. What I'd give to have it back. I paid $1750.00 for it. Talk about blowing an investment! 🥴🤯🤢

I remember this ad running on a "Bonanza" episode, I believe it was 9/18/66. I thought it was a nice looking car. As for the comment about drum brakes on this car, my folks bought a '68 Pontiac LeMans with standard drums. Believe me, if you can stop that car, you can stop any car. Sounds like Camaro at that time suffered the same affliction. Thing is, the power front disc brake option for the Pontiac was less than $30, if I remember right. My dad rued passing on that.

I wish Camaros were made out of volcano's again instead of made out of ant hills.
