Immense acceleration at launch compensates for being able to just blind opponents on the first corner with your tail lights. A truly advanced automobile that outshines any other on the touge.

BEWARE: I made this video about a month ago before I got my sim rig back. It never made it to upload, but I decided to post it, instead of letting it collect dust. I've released less than half of the videos I've ever made, should I upload the 'best' ones that didn't make the cut to another channel for you guys to watch?
5:52 the turn to the outside of the corner, preparing a Scandinavian flick (if he had actually tried to do it) combined with the super bright tail light reminded me so much of the inertia drift
If you ever do anything else with Automation, keep in mind: You can name your car and set the year on the bar at the very top You can layer styling bits on top of each other with the bit that says 1/4 on the toolbar You were running it on leaded gasoline unless you changed it off camera. Not really accurate to the 80s or 2012 (default year that you left it at) You can change the wheel color in the paint menu, and change all sorts of materials when you have styling bits selected I know that this wasn't necessarily meant to be a realistic build, but building something realistic is easier because the markets give you desirability scores. If you didn't select any safety then it would have 0 score because it's not road legal
if i had to choose. Ae86. with a 3sgte with the awd system from from the skyline. rear axel from skyline (to balance out the weight) and front suspension form a honda civic ej. thats my build i actually wanna do and have half the parts already but no money to build it at the moment.
If we are counting GTR in touge (was always very expensive!), then imports to japan could count too, since that was also costly. Caterham Seven (which was produced since the 70s) would have been the winningest touge machine probably ever with such crazy power to weight. Crashing would almost certainly be a death sentence, however.
I think the FD3S has to be the best car for touge due to its perfect weight balance, high revving engine, and handling characteristics, although lately I've been partial to Civics
FD is way overhyped. If you want a winning touge car in 2021 and have FD money, get an older (c5 or c6) z06. It handles just as well as an FD, with way more power. You'd have a nice time on the downhill, and an even nicer time on the uphill
It looks like ae86 combined with nissan laurel. I think best touge car would be something like impreza or evo, but with power split with more power going to the back, so its easier to go around hairpins.
Before I watch the video I'm gonna make a prediction/put my thoughts out there, not that I'm an expert or anything. I think cars like the MR2 and the S2000 are among the best of cars for touges. The F20 is a great engine to tune, and while I don't know much about the MR2s engine, it's a Toyota, so it'll probably handle a beating just fine. Both cars are quite light and have relatively short wheelbases (both are 2,400mm), which I think is important for touges. For those reasons I rule out cars like the Supra and the GT-R, which are GT cars really. what they have in power they lose in weight, size, and braking ability, thanks to weight. Both the Honda and Toyota are dedicated sportcars, unlike some other JDM icons which are great but aren't as performance oriented as these two. One more thing, both cars have important advantages regarding handling. The MR2 being mid-engine as well as not being a convertible gives it an edge over the S2000. However, the S2000 has doible-wishbone suspension, whereas the MR2 only has MacPherson struts. I consider it a tie. Love both cars. Edit: I missed the whole point of the video lol. I thought the title was finding the best touge car, not designing a completely new one.
My idea of a car for that is something with 50/50 weight distribution, fast acceleration, fast braking with anti lock, rear wheel drive, and being light weight and small.
I love the 86, but the RX7 FC also has the face of the 80's, pop-up headlights and it looks much better imo, but don't you think that an AWD system would change the 50/50 weight distribution? Well, if you put a 2JZ under the hood, you can kiss your weight distribution good bye too... What was the traction split of that car? It looks like it's 50/50 front and rear, I usually tune mine to be something between 40/60 and 20/80 front/rear, the less it understeers, the better!
@@dutesei do you wonder why tesla has perfect scores on the crash test? For safety? No, for marketing? No. It’s so you can double crash someone and live to do it again.

well in reality, wouldn't the best touge car just be the volkswagen idr? it has insane cornering and top speed doesn't matter on touge's as much. Sooo.... unless there is a benefit to using low power cars in touge
The point was to combine everything great about iconic JDM cars. If I wanted to make a car that would absolutely beat everything else, I wouldn't have started with an 80s chassis lmao
