- The ATN X-Sight 4K Pro is a scope like no other. While the ATN takes some time to get used to, once you do, it has plenty to offer over traditional scopes.

Thanks for sharing. Pulling the trigger on this one very soon.
👍
You did not mention that it has a built-in ballistics computer! With the add-on laser ranger finder, your shots are greatly improved! Great video!
Ahh great add! Now I’m gonna take my rifle to the golf course too! Let’s goooo!
I have that- but scared to put it on my m99
What’s the add on laser range called?

ABL1000 (or 1500)@@ericclement9448
Thanks for your information. Learning about it so I can use it.
I’ve had this optic for several years, and spent a lot of time looking for a good mount. The Leupold Mark AR 30mm mount is absolutely a perfect fit for this scope
Great video! I have the ATN X-Sight 4K 3-14 and it's great. But it also super heavy (I have added the IR illuminator and Ballistic Laser). For regular daylight use I use a Leica Amplus 6.
Both scopes are on a Dentler mount (with Dentler rings!) which make them super easy to change on my main rifle.
I have had the ATN 1 / 2 / 4k all have worked spot on, the thing to do is to take the time to set up right and play around a little to see what you can do with them.
Then take it out hunting great to see shots on targets & record, my tip is get an ATN ABL and match it up to your scope gives out distance for better shooting.
Excellent video!!!
Great Review 💯Thank you 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Thanks
I plan on purchasing one
I actually swapped the 20x version for the 13x version. For my use, more field of view was more important. With the new 5th generation model that just came out, you can find these 4K Pro’s for well under $500
So tell me the difference in the two models having a more field view how does the quality change ? Can you still take 100 yard shots with clarity ?
@@zachofalltrades6116 I’ve gone +300 yards at night with factory illuminator and +600 yards during day. It could go further.
One thing to keep in mind is the image quality is much better in the eye piece than it is on the video capture for some reason. Image quality on the 13x is much sharper in person than what you will see online.
Time for an Upgrade...get the ABL 1500....please.
Say, could you give thought about QD Scope Mounts that fit the 5-20x?
The middle part of the 5-20x Scope does not fit all QD Scope Mounts.
Unfortunately I bought one from Bass Pro it would freeze and have a magnetic field issue you would shoot one time and it would go blank or it would go blank right before you shoot they sent me a brand new one which was awesome the new one is better but it's still freezes. Maybe I'm to dumb to run it
If you upgrade the IR illuminator, how much will this change the max effective range? You mentioned it was 150 yds with the one it comes with, so I'm curious what range an aftermarket one will give you?
With the Zeroing part of the scope, does the camera pan to have the reticle in the middle of the screen, or does it leave the reticle in an odd corner in the side of your screen?
I bought it and now I need suggestions on what to put it on.
anyone compared this side by side to the sightmark wraith?
Just bought the 3-14 version for coyotes. Wish me luck.
Just saw this,my 5x20 is Clearasil a bell so yours is defective so send it back their warranty is excellent. I also have a 4.40 75mm and a 2.5 480 5mm thermal both badass😮
What is the range for the night vision
I bought this !! Gotta sight it in …
I had a couple of their earlier XSights that did Not work correctly and even with updates would not hold zero when zoomed. ATN left the buyers out to dry without repairing or replacing
That’s Chinese culture
this was good info, my atn x site is on the way.. also made me feel better bout the $$ i dropped..😊
Impressive
I think I missed it, but why did you say you recommended the 5-20 over the 3-14?
14 didn't see enough for the shooting I was doing. I felt that the 20 power was a better option. Even at close distance 5x didn't seem like too much. It just depends on what your preference is.
5-20
I just ordered one of these scopes and am curious about which upgraded rings you would suggest.
I use the Griffin Armament mount when I can. They are super beefy and work great. But if that is out of the budget then Leupold rings work as well. www.griffinarmament.com/featuredcategories1/optic-mounts/
@@InternationalSportsman Thanks!
Just an update for anyone considering the Leupold Mark AR integrated mounting system (part #177094), the ring spacing is not wide enough for the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro. Mine is the 3-14 but would bet it won't work on the 5-24 either.
@@jimwood860 hey dude have you used it yet, how you liking it?
I think ATN should make huge nightvision scopes with flimsy cantilever mounts
Did you change the rings ? And if you did can you tell me where did you got them from thank you
I did change them out. I had some rings lying around so I don't know what brand they were. There are several options just get something that is solid.
The deal killer is the unsaid refrain - "when it works". The fatal flaw for the ATN X-Sight is that it locks up. You will need a back up rifle when that happens. If you want to measure the magnitude of the problem, just Google: "ATN X-Sight 4K locks up" and read the users in the forums. ATN has put a video fix for it but that didn't work for me. It's buggy in many other ways. The firmware also crashes, the ERR code intermittantly pops up asking you to recalibrate the compass, and this turns comical pretty quick. You end up spinning the rifle like a majorette and it won't reset and calibrate consistently. The software remains too buggy for this great idea tto be ready for prime time, and ATN knows this. There should be a RUclips vid on just how far can you toss it in the lake after spending hours in the field or in the rear trying to fix something you really want to see work as advertised, then it locks up again.
Other than that it is too heavy and bulky as a package to walk and hunt. You need to be sitting down with a rest. Might as well carry an M-60. This is why you pretty-much have to confine its use to an AR with a collapsable stock to get close to the aperturte. It also is not ruggedized. It won't take a beating, adverse weather conditions, or ride in a pickup not in a cushioined case.
Neat gadget. Cool idea. Excellent conversation piece. But don't blame yourself when it turns into Lucy in the Charlie Brown comics, and moves the footbal at the last second.
Could not have said it better. Spot on. If anyone reading this is poised to buy - DON'T DO IT!
What were the night conditions like when you're showing with and without the IR illumination? Full moon? cloudy? etc.
I don't know if I'm ready to jump on the bandwagon for digital scopes just yet, but it's interesting to see the technology develop more and more.
One thing you might want to include in future digital optics reviews, in addition to your recoil/zero hold testing, is elemental/IP ratings because fragility is a big concern for a lot of those looking at digital optics.
Good video.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try and do that on future videos.
In the woods so there was basically no moon light.
I will appreciate any help if possible to find Any night vision thermal rifle scope without the nonsense like video, microphone, WiFi, computer connectivity and all those bells and whistles
Just a thing for night hunting
Please any advice guys?
Thanks for sharing but I am 71 yrs old and the one shot zero well it took me 31 shots and forget about recordin or blue toothin or rangefindin
All I needed to see is at 4:55 Sightmark it is for me.
Is good for 1000 mt shooting?
You didnt mention the ballistics calculator with auto POA adjustment.
I didn't use it so I didn't want to speak to it.
Works great. Quick and useful in the field.... 😉
How do you adjust for bullet drop?
You should mount the torch at the end of your gun. Better results
I can get the 3-14X for $400, do you think it’s worth it?
Yes for sure
And how often does it need it's up grade doing please ?
You have to register your scope on the ATN website its really easy then once you log in you can plug your scope into your computer and it will tell you on the website is there is an update available for your particular unit I’m not a computer guru by any means but I didn’t have any trouble navigating the website. Also the customer support team at ATN is second to none hope this reply helps you my friend.
I have a x sight 4k 3-14 with the ABL 1000. The scope is terrible. Even after a firmware date the compass doesn't work, the screen freezes either black or with an image of the last thing it saw, all the information in the scope freezes, can't turn it off without holding the power button for 30 seconds, the ABL won't lase properly and says "INF" a lot, and yesterday the ABL stopped pairing. I called ATN about this and the rather rude man on the other side said to do a firmware update and that would fix it. Nope ! Save you money and by something else.
Any word on how weatherproof it is?
I have used it in light rain without issue. Don't know how it would do other than that.
how many times has it froze up on ya?
Zero
What firmware version are you at? I'm at .511 and it's a freeze fest
.510
Need a better ir torch as the one it comes with is crap
You didn't go back and talk about why the 5-20 zoom is preferable, that I caught, anyway. Did I miss it??
I have a Surefire weapon light with IR filter and I'm sure that it would do better and, you can mount it in a different position on the rifle if you so desire and that can make a difference.
And we're talking scopes and range of magnification *power...* It's a 20 power scope, not a "20 x" scope. So many people don't even realize that X = times = power, as in "to the power of" in math terms. It sounds nitpicky but, hearing people say something "X" all the time when they mean a d should be saying power is annoying but more importantly, we're losing much of our language skills because of either not knowing any better (the average person's grammar is pretty atrocious these days) or laziness. So if you're talking about the magnification of something, be it a scope or whatever, you're talking about power. 😉
No 4k in something you call the 4k pro, awesome
The sensor is 4K.
honestly i wouldnt put a 1000$ digital scope on a high recoil gun .. and yeah pot metal aluminum rings shouldnt be over-torqued, they actually hold less if you do ... steel rings woukd be better if you got to put the scope on a high kick gun ..
You said you would explain why you'd choose 5-20x over 3-14x but you never did.
Sorry about that. The reason is the higher magnification makes it difficult at close range with the field of view. Since I don't think it is useable beyond 150 yards I don't think the extra magnification helps.
Good to hear. I have 3-14x for that reason.
The worst and most unsuccessful sights. I bought two sights from them, the first one is still not working, and the second one is the third time I send it to the company, I still don’t know if it will work or not.
It will freeze up just a matter of time..
Too many bells and whistles. Too heavy. Large power drain. Requires battery pack. All these things made me buy the new Sightmark Wraith Thermal for my first venture into introductory affordable thermal.
I've never had an issue with power drain. Don't run the auxiliary battery pack. And I appreciate the extras. All for a quarter of the cost of thermal.
and then you hunt some fucking small animal with it 🤡
THESE ARE COMPLETE GARBAGE!!! Please read real reviews and do your research. These scopes present and exciting idea however they do not deliver. My scope ALWAYS freezes and stops responding. You lose an image and have to constantly reboot it. ATN says you have to update the firmware but even after that it does the same thing. Also, ATN has a very invasive procedure to update as far as your personal information goes. They want you to register with your phone number, street address and etc to be able to update the software. Another negative is that it is very big and heavy. Much bigger then it looks. Image is marginal especially when you zoom, you lose definition just like a phone camera! Another thing, the reviewer is spot on about the rings, they are terrible. Upon initial instal I stripped two screws. It actually felt like I was screwing the bolts into a plastic mount. I’m going back to traditional glass!
