It's a good scope. I really use it a lot.
I recently purchased the 4K Pro 5-20x along with the remote and ABL-1500, and the IR-850 Pro illuminator. Had issues with compass after firmware upgrade and they told me to send it back. They sent me a new one...in their new mossy oak breakup pattern free of charge!!! 5day turnaround, updated the firmware, recalibrated the compass, and am now getting it dialed in on the same style platform you have. This is one slick setup, and will be dropping my 1st buck ever with it very soon...unless he crosses the sights of my crossbow first. Worthy of mention is that the IR-850 Pro illuminator uses the 18650 battery and comes with the charger as well...as well as up to 500 yd range. Great video Brother!!!

Always have quick detach mounts for your scope so that you can use either a different scope or your iron sights, without any issues.
Thanks for the video, I just got back from a hog hunt. Went well I liked the night vision and thermal setup the guide had and now I'm looking into get this. . .

I wish they would have done a simple upgrade for the zoom wheel that allows you to choose the number of "steps" per click. It takes too long for me to go from 5-20, I would love if I could chose if I wanted 1x per click or 5x

Great video review. i really dislike a worthless 40 minute commentary by someone who sounds like they no nothing about the product and are all about their own opinion, this review has all the pertinent information with some actual views and pictures, I know the sound wasn't good on the scope video but it was more than adequate to show the capabilities. I've never seen your channel before but now that I've seen a review that I consider above and beyond I will come back and see what else you have to offer thanks buddy

@@EverydayMan no problem, the smaller channels don't get about of attention because of algorithmic malarkey. Thankfully I know how to search the internet for what I'm looking for and your review fit the bill, I actually liked your review over the majority of the other reviews I've seen, I'm more of a people's guy kind of person. I like reviews that are by regular people in regular places.

Thanks for doing this video, I have just bought the same scope you had and I was starting to get a bit worried as it was freezing, I have upgraded the firmware and it is a lot better.
I got it for air rifle use, I have no interest in full bore shooting any more, I did all that while serving in the British Army, I have two Weihrauch rifles, the 110 and the 100 bullpup, for my type of shooting they are perfect. Thanks again, I am a lot happier knowing the scope is capable of doing what I need.

@@EverydayMan Hi, update on my last remark about the scope, I eventually sent it back, it just kept freezing, nothing I did could prevent it so I lost confidence in it.

@@EverydayMan I'm glad yours worked for you but it would have drove me nuts with it freezing all the time, I tried zeroing it and it took me 4 attempts.
I went for the yukon sightline N450s instead.

Great video sir, I bought one just before deer season ran out here in n/w Louisiana. The learning curve isn't too bad. Once I learned there are things you can do on the app you Can Not do in the scope. Like renaming profiles n such. But once you get the feel of the few idiosyncrasies you will be just fine. May I ask, What app do you use to mirror your cell phone to your TV? I have an LG that I have an app paired via wifi from LG. I can changes channels and all. just no mirror option.

I have Samsung and I just use the screen mirror setting on my phone. Youre right, it doesn't take long to learn to use it.Thanks for watching!
Great video. My only question is accounting for MIL drop. Does it recalculate for drop or is it a BCD type? Thanks in advance.
It doesn't account for it. It does agave a built in range finder that I haven't messed with.

Just ordered mine!! How is the stock IR? Will it work for awhile until I'm ready to upgrade? What's the distance of the IR? Great review!! Subbed!!
I will work well, you'll see out 200 yards or so. The only reason I bought another one is because the batteries were expensive. I wanted rechargeable.

Ok so I had mine for years no issues besides the compass doesn’t work anymore even after calibrating it .But I do have one question I have the 4k pro 5-20 with abl 1000 my only question to you is have you used the ballistic system and had it worked

If you'll invite me hog hunting I'll invite you for some great Elk, Mule Deer or Coyote hunting. I've never done any Hog hunting and dream about having a great Hog hunt. Quick question, have you tried the Sharps 25/45 for your Deer and Hog hunting? It has turned out to be my favorite AR-15 cartridge. An absolutely amazing cartridge. I love it so much the I have 3 x 16", 2 x 18", 2 x 20" and 3 x 24" 25/45 Sharps AR's. Just simply an amazing round. You should give it a try. I'll even send you a barrel if you'd like to give it try. 5/8x24 thread for the muzzle device. You should watch Sooch00 Sharps AR-15 Two years later video on RUclips. Great video.

They don't, battery life is really good.

I've been watching reviews on this scope for some time. I finally pulled the trigger on one, and they're not cheap. Had it for about 3 days, used it once and it wouldn't turn on. I will never buy another one.
You don't have to buy another one. They have a warranty.
@EverydayMan yeah, I just got my money back. I lost faith in the company. I'd hate to get another that might last 4 months and then no warranty [or how ever long the warranty was for, I don't remember]

It does. I haven't used it so I unfamiliar with it.

No it's not automatic but it doent take many shots.

Well the horrifying stories are true and if you have one that works without freezing up then your in luck.Mine was freezing up so bad and even when I did new firmware update had to send it back.
I lucked out mine is still going strong on a .308 now. Have taken a lot of animals with it.

It's electronic. It needs battery but not wifi.

Just watched you generator video, your comments are OFF. You should turn the comments on. You need to use an interlock on the MAIN.
I dont need an interlock for an outside receptacle. I clearly state in the video when backfiring your house the main HAS to be off. This is only to be used in emergency situations.

What's the max range ?
Depends on what illuminater u use. The factory one is probably 150 yards.
it would be nice if some of you would mention a price range ... give or take type of ball park... last time i looked into a scope it ended up costing $4000.00 that's way out of my budget.....

Plus prices change and fluctuate. Some people wait out for blackfriday sales on these they get 75-100 off then. If you can't Google a price then that's on you but it's not the reviewers problem. I've seen videos from 6-7 years ago about paying X amount of money and people replying in the comments saying that it cost 100 more than the reviewer said
.. lol a lot changes in a day especially after covid. A lot more changes in 6+ years. Nevertheless this video is great review and this is probably the 5th video I've seen on this exact scope.

Here is what they Don't tell you:
1) requires a Micro SD card that is not included.
2) there are multiple directions on the website to download and install firm ware. each set of directions is different and none them work
3) you have to have an IBM computer to interface with the scope.
4) They do not tell you in the booklets (and videos) how to return from the submenus to the main screen.
MicroSD cards are about 10 dollars, for a large one. Firmware is relatively easy to install if you have basic computer skills. You don't have to have an IBM computer specifically. You need a PC, they mean IBM compatible computer which is ALL PC's today. Just not Apple Macs.
scope is good until you have a problem service and support sucks
That hasn't seemed to be the case for my 2 buddies with issues. They fixed them both up.
@@EverydayMan probably cause your their celebrity..... ican tellyou I have been dealing with a problem since December and just getting a straight answer out of these folks are miserable and I am on a mission now....I can give you names and times and dates of conversations all for nothing.....gonna keep on trying ...but also gonna share my horrible experience..

Totally unfair using NV scopes for hunting. Don't kill Animals if you can't do it in fair way and leaving dose beautiful creatures a chance too. Think about that.
Pigs will be the only animal taken at night. That's fair.
