They were my first live band I ever saw when they toured with Currents and Amity Affliction earlier this year. I was absolutely blown away by Emma's vocals and her stage presence is freaking phenomenal. I can proudly say I was served well having DW as my first! I've been obsessed with them since then.
I saw Dying Wish live twice and they are unbelievably good! Fun fact: The boyfriend of Emma, the vocalist, is Jeremy, the guitarist/clean singer from The Devil Wears Prada!
Brrrro I am loving this hardcore kick your on atm. I see you getting excited when you hear some filthy bass. I highly I mean highest of all highs recommend "kublai khan tx - self destruct" or Swan song. Then I'll just wait for the full album reviews cause I really think you would enjoy them.
Never heard this band before but this is neat… I like the music a lot but her vocals don’t sit well with me at times, especially toward the beginning…they’re not bad, but they sound to me like someone who hasn’t found their own voice and instead are trying to fit with “a sound”. The extended clean part on the one song around 17.5min or so was pretty good, but other times I found the cleans a bit over-produced and jarring…too polished. But still pretty good record overall. For comparison on the vocals, listen to something like Hiretsukan or Oathbreaker or even The Assistant, for harsh female vocals, not necessarily the same or similar style but some of it is close to what she’s doing at times
she does better vocals on the album they made before this one. I think she changed her vocal style because her last style was too harsh on her voice but the older vocals are stronger
