I'm sure someone else has already mentioned but the lead vocalist does the unclean vocals, one of the guitarists does backing unclean vocals, and the drummer does the clean vocals! Absolutely phenomenal band, glad you checked them out and like them!
28:52 I’m crying lmfaooo Seriously though this was amazing to watch. This was my AOTY by far and seeing you just love every second of it was like hearing it the first time again
Kublai Khan just dropped a new single recently called Low Tech. Honestly I love all their music, but I think the single before Low Tech called Theory of Mind is probably the best first listen for them. Also, I can't recommend them highly enough live if you get a chance to see them.
Whole album is a heater but Cursed to Remember, Death is Little More, A Pale Light Lingers, Face the Blade, Blames Burden are definitely my top favorites, this album is so disgustingly beautiful 🤣🤘🏽🤘🏽 AOTY no doubt
Literally what i’ve been saying. I wasnt sure theyd be able to top Burying Brightness. And i’ve been in awe for days because they somehow surpassed BB handedly imo. Incredible
This band is just so good at tempo changes and transitions. The vocals, guitar tones, atmosphere and everything is perfection. Id highly suggest you check out their catalogue.
this album is easily my AOTY so far and all of their albums are amazing but this one tops it and man is it so amazing the lyrics just hit different, i think youd love their first 2 albums as well. And as far as Kublai Khan definitely check out their 2019 album absolute as its some great hardcore they are one of my favs, Matt Honeycutt is a BEAST, but maybe as a first video id check out one of their newest songs Theory of Mind its an absolute BANGER and youd definitely have fun with it
I'm an incredibly big fan of those seamless transitions between songs. Deathbeds' album Sinner excelled in that, too. You Won't Go and this are still fighting for my top 1 after having them shake my brain daily since release. It's a good year
i havent been listening as long but i saw them in november last year at new brookland tavern in columbia and it was crazyyyy, their stage presence is insaneeeee
Same here ! I am pretty new to them too. Killer band that I missed out on but not anymore . I had heard of them but never really listened to them . I saw them live and they kick some serious a##!!
This album ticks all the boxes for me, it has so many influences: mathcore, metalcore, hardcore, beatdown, some proggy stuff and more. I fcking love it.
Inhale the Grief... Fuck thgat song is incredible. New Eidola has caught me off guard but I truely believe that nothing will top this album. The emotion alone gives me Heavener feels. Truely the best album of the year as of now. Knocked loose will be swinging though.
A late comment, but if anyone has the chance to watch Boundaries live. I'd hugely suggest you go, Matt has one of the most energetic performances I've ever seen.
You would love Chamber’s albums ‘Cost Of Sacrifice’ and ‘A Love To Kill for’. Same producer as the one for this album. Criminally underrated band and I dare say just as good as Boundaries.
That’s the best feeling. Discovering new bands at shows. I discovered Entheos that way. ❤ Saw them open for Veil of maya and Oceano. Especially when they are young and upcoming and like two years later they’re the next trend. It’s almost like a badge of honor. 😂
Love hearing the old school style production. This album is like the absolute unit you see at the gym. Oh god I miss old school hardcore. I believe Misha of Periphery produced the record.
I beg you to listen/react to “Fallingwithscissors” EP “the death and birth of an angel”. It is EASILY already EP of the year, most unique metalcore I’ve heard in a while, totally mental, atmospheric and really anxious. It is only 17mins so there is no reason NOT to listen to it, especially if you’re a metalcore fan. I’d go as far as to say, non metalcore fans could appreciate it just due to the masterly songwriting and flow of the EP. It is just a perfect project start to finish
This will probably end up being my AOTY. Their past 2 were very high up in their respective years for me as well, but this record is just better in every way. The only other record that I think stands a chance of topping this is the new One Step Closer later this year. Also yes they do have multiple vocalists, the drummer does the cleans and their bassist sometimes does some of the higher backing screams
the drummer does the cleans, and the bassist does those background highs. this band RIPS bruh. they just started tour, you should go see them if they have a stop near you. im seeing them june 14
Dude get on that kublai khan train right now!!!! Go Swan song or boomslang but seriously you will end up doing an album so just find something an play it, self destruct goes hard too.
**See below for updated comments/review** Ok, time for mister negativepants to have an opinion: I’m halfway through this listening on my TV, so maybe this is better suited to headphones, but I hate the pseudo-industrial production…makes everything sound flat and sucks the impact out of a lot of cool parts. Sounds basically like something the singer made in his bedroom on GarageBand or something… And if I could go back in time, I’d stop the release of Poison The Well’s The Opposite of December….as much as I loved that record when it came out, I blame it entirely for the whole “we’re not a real metalcore band unless we have cleans” thing… it’s such a boring cliche to me now Overall though I actually don’t mind this much….wish they’d pick up the pace a little here and there, but for a straight metalcore album with 2007 vibes I can dig it Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. -Your Resident Hardcore Purist PS: the lyrics are pretty good from what I’ve caught, so there’s that PPS: made it to the end. Like it overall. I think the second half saved it; a bit more dynamic sounding and the production seemed to loosen its grip a bit PPPS: unrelated, but if it didn’t come through, that last dono from last week’s stream was for circle takes the square, just fyi I guess
Just a sidenote, the audio on Jacobs video is completely mono which makes the album sound pretty terrible. I don't know whether or not you listened to it via Jacobs video or somewhere else but it does sound quite a bit better when it's not just mono haha. Still pretty brickwalled which I personally don't mind but I understand that everybody won't like it.
@@polarnightaudio I guess that’s a pretty good point. Might have to give it another shot at some point. Burying Brightness has been growing on me so maybe a proper listen on this will win me over
@@helm_108 I was going to mention as well, the album through this video is completely different than on RUclips/Spotify. It is very full and bass heavy in my car. I was confused on why the album sounded like it did in this video.
Either Adobe or OBS does something to it to compress it, I have no idea how to fix it, I will have to look up a video or go on reddit or something, I don't think it sounds too weird unless you're listening to the song for the first time through my video, I would never use a TV to listen to music tho, or music reaction videos tbh
Boundaries, Knocked Loose, Erra, and HOPEFULLY a new MTS album? 2024 is gonna be such a good year for metal
Alpha Wolf as well!
good taste buddy
Both of their previous albums are full of bangers front to back.
Everytime they release, it's album of the year for me.
I'm sure someone else has already mentioned but the lead vocalist does the unclean vocals, one of the guitarists does backing unclean vocals, and the drummer does the clean vocals! Absolutely phenomenal band, glad you checked them out and like them!
bassist does other screams ;)
That breakdown at the end of turning hate into rage is incredible
This is AOTY for me! But let's wait for the Knocked Loose one >:)
Let's also wait for Loathe! >:D
This takes the new knocked loose album by a little imo, it’s better 😈
@@Vixfor_ Loathe is cooking fr

Seriously though this was amazing to watch. This was my AOTY by far and seeing you just love every second of it was like hearing it the first time again
Really have to appreciate the rawness in Matt’s vocals…wish more bands did this
Kublai Khan just dropped a new single recently called Low Tech. Honestly I love all their music, but I think the single before Low Tech called Theory of Mind is probably the best first listen for them. Also, I can't recommend them highly enough live if you get a chance to see them.
Drummer does the cleans and the bass player does the other higher pitched harsh vocals
Loved the reaction. Thanks for introducing me to these guys 🔥
and theyre even better live, i saw them in nov. 23' in a small venue and it was fucking deadly
Cant wait for your reaction to the song "realize and rebuild" off of burrying brightness album. Lyrically one of my top 3 favorites from them
Whole album is a heater but Cursed to Remember, Death is Little More, A Pale Light Lingers, Face the Blade, Blames Burden are definitely my top favorites, this album is so disgustingly beautiful 🤣🤘🏽🤘🏽 AOTY no doubt
Honestly the feature with Marcus Vik is top 2 if not number one for me. Check out Burying Brightness on their last album the title track
AOTY so far, somehow better than Burying Brightness
Literally what i’ve been saying. I wasnt sure theyd be able to top Burying Brightness. And i’ve been in awe for days because they somehow surpassed BB handedly imo. Incredible
Yeah this will be AOTY for me too. That new AlphaWolf album is hard af too that may be a close 2nd for me.
Just uploaded a reaction to the new Alpha Wolf, holy fuck
@@JacobRatHxC checking that out right now!
If you haven’t already, you should listen to their album burying brightness it’s a bit more emotional of an album but it’s amazing
I started listening to this band like a month ago. Their albums have been on repeat 😂 great band for sure
We had the same exact reaction to Cursed To Remember
16:55 had me GEEEKKKED😂😂 had to take it back after hearing that. also quick sub after you said IA was your favorite band, mine too!
This band is just so good at tempo changes and transitions. The vocals, guitar tones, atmosphere and everything is perfection. Id highly suggest you check out their catalogue.
That song with Marcus is easily the best.
Yoo glad you checked this out, it's raw, heavy and personal. I absolutely love it.

I got into this band about a year ago and they have been my favorite band since. This album might be my favorite metal album of all time.
Great reaction bro! Definitely my favorite album so far this year. Never ending stank face this whole album
Hell yes , love your reactions , especially Boundaries, this album is 🤌🏻
This album is all I ever wished early Varials would be
This album filled that void that the Scars For You to Remember left
Love your reactions 😂 when you're face is like "yup adding that one" me with every boundaries song 🤣
One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen 🤘🏼

im so glad people are finally getting into boundaries theyre one of my favorites. banger after banger. definitely check out their older stuff too.
They're a no miss live show!
I'm sure someone in the comments has mentioned it but if not, the drummer is the one who does the cleans now on this album
Matt is from Kublai Khan which I would HIGHLY recommend reacting to 🔥
Yessir check out older album too. Three album in the row metalcore Aoty for me!
This album ticks all the boxes for me, it has so many influences: mathcore, metalcore, hardcore, beatdown, some proggy stuff and more. I fcking love it.
I been listening to them since I saw them open for Varials in philly back in 2019 and they've been my favorite band ever since
Damn! You ever just hear lyrics that seem like they were written for you?
and yes, the second vocalist is their drummer.
Guitarist does backing vocals too

youll love their last album. Its similar to this but more 2000's inspired in my opinion. And the stuff before is similar

i was waiting for what u said at 16:56 lol
Scars on the soul summer banger 2024 def listening in da pool
So far metalcore album of the year for me! Let’s see what erra has tho coming up
Saw these guys open for Lorna Shore last year, and have been addicted since

Matt’s lyrics r so good
Kublai khans album absolute is really what put them on the map. I’d highly recommend starting with that if you were to listen to them!
their callouts are out of this world.

Wow. This album is incredible. Jesus.
The drummer is the “CLEAN” singer 🤘🏽
all the songs are the best song on this album
pls react to your receding warmth by boundaries. has one of the best album openers imo
Only thing I think can top this is if 156/silence drops this year

For Kublai Khan you’ll want to check out Theory of Mind

"It came out of nowhere"
Yes, it's a speciality from Boundaries 😂
Current favorite band. whole discography rips
Pale light is the best song! No other words. 🔥
