Yup. These cars literally will not allow you to get close to redline until it warms up. In fact.... If you pay attention, the red bars near the 5-6k rpm on the tachometer, begin to light up steadily as the car warms up.
Yeah that car is legit, much better bottom end, gt the fuel system sorted out and big reliable power will be there and it's no slouch now! It's nice to see Justin doing the work himself as well, I wish I had the dough to take my car down there and let them loose on my car!

Before you get carried away with more mods, I suggest you should change the oil pump gears since they are notorious for breaking when modding coyotes and the Trinity motor is no different in that sense. Also when I installed the JLT cold air and the FRPP 67 mm throttle body alone I got a jump in boost to 17 lbs according to the factory gauge with stock pulleys. I thought that with a smaller pulley you were going to be at least 18 to 19 lbs. BTW your Shelby looks killer!!

This GT500 content is so sick! When the ecu wasn’t allowing full throttle it made me think back to a RegularCarReviews video and I believe he mentioned that Ford made it so on a drag pass the ecu wouldn’t allow you to keep doing laps and could lessen the throttle amount or even temporarily put the vehicle in limp mode depending on coolant temps and things like that so I’m wondering if that’s it part to do with why at first it wasn’t getting full throttle opening. Glad to see the first mods you’ve gotten done to it! Sounds healthy and good!
Yes that is pretty much part of the same factory limiters. Oil temp was obviously already up but coolant temp was slightly lower so it didn't allow WOT
@@Drake5153 Definately. You have to adjust fuel, air, spark, boost. Calibration takes longer than the dyno pulls. 100%. Dynos shows the result. Simple WOT for a few seconds.
Just watched Alejandro’s video of a 13-14 GT 500 with cams, Lund tune, pulley and 6r80 swap made 803 hp to the wheels!!! Oh and E85. The point was no need to upgrade the supercharger.

Howd you go about getting approved for a loan with this car? What's the best route? I tried a credit union but they only approved me for 20000 when my credit score is like 736. I'm trying to buy a ~30000 car but I'll probably need 27500 with the interest and taxes if I put 7500 down between trade and cash. Idk why I can't get approved for that much, I've had a 2016 fusion for 3 years with a 414 monthly payment and this will be similar.
Definitely do the vmp dual fan triple pass HE.. I did it on my 15 GTPP with Roush kit and 79mm pulley with the IAT harness... those IAT will kill 100hp all day in Florida.. you should make good power with it good luck!!
665whp maxed out for pump gas. Is that just for this combo or for the car in general no matter what kind of mods you throw at it? I'm guessing if you throw a new blower on it and some other stuff you could get the 700 wheel horsepower right? Didn't Ashley's 5.0 do more on pump gas than this? So kind of answering my own question here but I'm guessing it's the max for this combo on pump not for the car. Cuz you got a whole .8 liters more than her car should be able to get to Seven plus on pump I imagine, without running off to do research. Still some very nice numbers 👍 It seems like the pulley is mainly for torque.
Ashleys car also has an aftermarket 2.9 whipple on top and full exhaust of course its gonna have more peak power people need to stop focusing on peak power and look at the power curve. These things make way more torque than a coyote. And he meant for this combo. Long tubes could def get him close to 700 as well as cams that would put him above 700 on pump. I seen one do 800+ with stock blower and with full bolt ons cams and e85.
Scary that an aftermarket tune was already on the car before VMP checked it out. Plugs look gnarly like a flood car or from an owner that continuously pressured washed the motor and letting it self dry. What turned out to be the fuel issue (guessing filter or weak pump).
it probably would have been close to VMP tune only. You can only do so much with these cars without changing parts. We picked up quite a bit of torque down load and in the curve hp.
Depends what you want you want raw muscle car look and feel or high end sports car look and feel. That is basically what separates em. This is more of a quarter mile car and would punish people in roll racing with its gearing gt350 is more about high revving na engine and amazing handling. Pick your poison
You are making more horsepower... so I personally don't think it is the fuel pump... the bumpy top end power... and black puffs of smoke smell like misfire to me. shrug.. but what do I know?
My 07 427 Nascar edition convertible supersnake only makes 650hp.Back in 07 the convertible supersnake was only built with the Ford Racing TVS the coupes got the Kenny Bell blower that's on my 10 supersnake.Its funny to say my convertible SS only has 650hp lol only.

Installed VMP's '13-'14 GT500 Stage 4 Power Pack on my 14, I hear virtually no whine. Really disappointed. Power feels good. But I wanted that cool factor too.

That is a key concept to boost that most don't understand. Boost is only a measure of restriction to airflow through your engine.

The dealership may have pressure washed the motor because it was dusty thats what most do.

I have the same jlt 123 cai and 67 tb on both my gt500's. My 09 gt500 makes 630 rwhp (13 tvs sc) my 13 gt500 makes 647 rwhp.
Gonna guess since it had a ngauge it was running a Lund tune. Would have been cool to see what it made as you bought it
