"The time it takes your body to heal may be just as long as the amount of time you spent harming it" - such a good point and perspective. Thanks for sharing 🖤
I had lost my period for 7 months because of my past ED, and what really helped me was as you said: don't stress about it, SLEEP & EAT ENOUGH. i agree omg, showing your body that it's safe will really reassure it and everything just falls back to place.
Right!!! It might sound silly but our bodies are so smart, and when it feels unsafe it really shows in the symptoms and dysfunctions of our body. SO happy that you're healing, sending love!
I had lost mine for the same amount then I recently got one (February), but this past month (March) I didn’t get it 😕. But I went to the doctor and before they could even prescribe me anything, my period just came back lol. But they told me to monitor it for the next three months so 😬 I’m gonna just try not to stress myself out.
I looked at the Daysy before because I wanted to use it for pregnancy prevention. I got off of birth control and hate condoms. Initially it looked promising, but I started seeing a lot of reviews where people were stating that it glitches frequently and there are reports of people having sex on ‘red’ days and becoming pregnant. So, I decided to stick to condoms. I wouldn’t recommend this tool for pregnancy prevention, HOWEVER it does seem promising for tracking!
Hey! :) That's definitely true, which is why it's not recommended or marketed as a replacement for birth control or preventing pregnancy because of course, there's always room for error (machine or human, if say you forget to log one day, or do it later in the day etc.). Glad you brought it up! Some people definitely have a misconception about what the device is and the consequences are.. pretty serious :P
I haven’t had my period for a year and a few months. I’m slowly starting to change my mindset and I want to start loving my body. I’ve been taking baby steps but hopefully I’ll get it back soon. I’ll admit I’m VERY scared of gaining weight but I want to love myself and start getting healthy before the damages are too severe to recover from.
Thank you so much for this. I had anorexia when I was 13 and lost my period for 9 months. Later on, I found out I had endometriosis and this year, six years later, my ed came back. Though I still have my periods and eat healthy now, I’m still very obsessive over weight and on anorexic mindset, and have anxiety disorders, such as ocd and panic attacks. Sooo, it’s been kind of rough! But knowing people like you makes me really happy and motivated to kick my ed. Love from Brazil ❤️
This is helpful. I missed my period for 3 months, got it back and I was so excited because I thought I was back to normal. Then hasn't been back for 2-3 months which was disappointing but I need to change my mindset
Aw I know that feeling! Honestly during quarantine I lost it for a month (or rather, I skipped a month) and I'm pretty sure it's due to tremendous lifestyle change and stress.
I’m so happy you are making more videos about this topic! I am currently trying to get my period back and heal my relationship with food and always find other people’s recovery journeys so helpful for my own. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! (:
the first time it came back , was it any different from your usual? Maybe lasted for a shorter period of time and maybe the flow was weaker? Or it was all normal?
I know it's different for everyone but after how much time will your period come back if you eat healthy and enough calories. I lost mine in Feb and in August I will start my recovery so pls help
Thank you so much for your input! I would just like to add some info that could help you and others get better results with understanding your cycles. You can't predict when you are fertile or when you are going to ovulate accurately just by taking your body temperature. The temperature method only tells you when you have already ovulated. In order to really know when you'll be fertile, when your estrogen levels drop and all the good stuff, you should also be keeping track of your vaginal discharge for example. The "Taking Charge of your Fertility" book and web page can explain it better than I can. This is not only for women who want to get pregnant, but also for women who don't want to get pregnant or for women who only want to understand their cycle. I really recommend it to anyone who wants a more accurate and predictable way of supporting your cycle :)
Yes! Great point, I didn't mention that the Daysy app includes symptom tracking, including discharge notes etc. Should have definitely pointed that out--thanks for bringing it up!
Thank you so much, you speaking so openly ,and this video was very helpful and so supporting .Thank you so much for sharing these ,you are an wonderful human. You did very well ,Apreciate!Keep going and lots of goodies!🤗😍❤️🥰😇💗🌸😊😊💗💗💗
Thank you thank you for sharing so openly about this🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I would LOVE to see another video about how you continue to support your cycle/leading up to it💛💛
Check out the book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It is less expensive and teaches you how to track your cycle using temperature and cervical discharge. It is the old fashion way to do what the Daysy does and is less expensive! Maddie Lymburner also has a video on birth control where she talks about the book and the Daysy!
What a beautiful journey! I went through a similar experience through my recovery/relapses with my eating disorder. As I recovered, my periods took a lot longer to come back than I anticipated
Totally! It's always a rush, people message me all the time asking me WHEN WILL I GET IT BACK, and honestly it's on our body's time and when it feels safe
I'm not a doctor, so you should ask them, but in my opinion if you're serious about healing then yes. If you haven't gotten it back there's a reason why 🤷🏻♀️ Eventually you'll need to take proper care of yourself, which can mean rest, even if you don't want to.
If you're not getting it back, then you shouldn't really be working out, it can be a big stressor on the body, but depends on the person/your doctor probably can answer for your specific situation :)

Thank you for sharing what has helped you. I currently struggle to recover my period and this was very inspirational and helpful.❤️
it's so nice of you to share your journey. It's a vulnerable topic but I'm glad your speaking out xx
Seeing how you make your period zero waste would be amazing!

thank you for speaking so openly about eating disorders. as someone who is trying to recover from anorexia, it is so motivating to hear your journey!

You're so welcome Kris! Sending so much love--I know you got this!!!
MORE PERIOD VIDS 🙌🏻
:))
I actually have looked into cycle syncing where food is concerned. I found it to be very helpful to focus on foods based on which phase I'm in.
Me too! It's incredible what happens when we feed our bodies what it really needs
This is my biggest issue right now....
Thank you...
You got this
I appreciate you sharing your story. I'm glad so many of us are doing this now!
So so important!! ♡
the first time it came back , was it any different from your usual? Maybe lasted for a shorter period of time and maybe the flow was weaker?
Or it was all normal?
Yes to the zero waste period video!!!
I know it's different for everyone but after how much time will your period come back if you eat healthy and enough calories. I lost mine in Feb and in August I will start my recovery so pls help
Like you said, it's different for everyone. There's no knowing when, and it's not about the calories it's about your body healing itself.
I'm recovering from anorexia, I got my period back for the first time, and I am still experiencing extreme hunger, is that normal?
Ask your doctor ❤️ everybody's recovery looks different but they will know best!

I’d love to buy one but holy 🐮 💩 it’s so expensive 😂

I lost my period bc of an Ed and and I’m trying to get it back, but do I have to stop working out?I absolutely love to move my body :(

Does the daysy app have the ability to track even if you haven’t gotten your period in years?
The app and device track your body symptoms like basal body temperature etc. So yes, it will track those metrics to track your fertility.
Im glad its back on track all the best luck for u in the future xx
Thank u so much
Can I do cycle sync to recovery from HA?
I don't know what that is, sorry
Thank you so much!

Lol Moe 🤣🤣
Pls the mean of ED
ED- Eating disorder
Were you working out while trying to get your period back??
If you're not getting it back, then you shouldn't really be working out, it can be a big stressor on the body, but depends on the person/your doctor probably can answer for your specific situation :)
Acupuncture is a placebo affect but sometimes placebo affects work for people so whatever makes you feel better
I respectfully disagree re: acupuncture, but I know it's not for everyone :)
