Reverse diet!! Figure out what your calories you are eating right now and increase 100-200 calories weekly from there and start working out so you can avoid the weight gain
there is nothing wrong with weight gain. that weight is very necessary for most people. that weight gain is what many people need to recover the damage
I was looking for a video like this, I have amenorrhea since 7 months, I had anorexia for 3 years just when I started to recover my period disappeared. I always been irregular I followed a low carb diet and my menstrual cycle started to be completely normal but then i went really low carb and went through a really stressful situation, i was overtraining... Two months ago I changed everything i’m my diet I try to eat starchy carbs and low glycemic index carbs, if i workout I do resistance exercises (moderate), a little of abs, pilates and yoga. These weeks I been having pms symptoms I don’t lose hope
Hi Colleen. I’m a new subscriber & I just want to say I have been really enjoying your content. I’ve been a yo-yo dieter for most of my adult life & I’m just working on breaking the vicious cycle. I read taking charge of your fertility almost 9 years ago when I was trying to conceive my now almost 8 year old. Game changer! I used fertility awareness method to help conceive & still use it to this day for natural birth control. I think it should be required reading for every young lady! Why aren’t we taught this stuff at an early age?! I was wondering your opinion on an author named Alisa Vitti? She is pretty bad ass in the women’s reproductive area & wrote the book Woman Code. It’s pretty fascinating stuff but she demonizes a lot of food saying things like sugar cause hormonal imbalances. I’m coming from the whole “clean eating basically orthorexic food obsessed” diet. I’ve been led to believe sugar, dairy, gluten, anything processed is the reason my hormones are not working optimally and the reason I’m gaining weight & always tired, hungry & my hair is falling out. Or maybe it’s the stress of trying to eat perfectly & under eating for fear of eating something deemed “bad” that is really messing me up. Anyway she really focuses on honoring our cycles & each of the 4 phases we should eat certain foods & do certain exercises. It’s basically a diet for our cycles. I would love for you to take a look at her work & give us your opinion on it. Thanks for everything you are doing. You are helping me tremendously!
I have a very regular period. Every 28-31 days. My body works like a clock. I lead a plant based diet, apart from my krill oil. I think our bodies are just different. My sister needed animal products. She was anemic and estrogen dominant. And I have none of those.
I just find my period back after 2 years, I have trouble with dieting and exercising and scare what to eat because I wanna lose weight and have my period.
Yup lol I guess whole would be good to get more regular lol. Have to freshly grind before each use because the healthy omega 3s oxidize. Ground is digested better to if not they come out whole. I use the preground for flax eggs in baking but whole in smoothie and blender grinds it all up.
Great job :) we are all about healthy smoothies including nutrients like shilajit, cordyceps mushroom, and other holistic healing tonics to boost our body to the fullest.
Does this apply to painful periods with endometriosis?? My obgyn said eat more green veg, water, exercise lightly but daily, cut red meat and reduce all meat. I do feel better doing that 4 mo later, no PMS and pain dialed back a little but still extreme. I technically get my period but it definitely is irregular. For a time it will be 31 days then 35 days then 53 days? Then 42 days. So yeah. I am sensitive to gluten and dairy so for a while the only thing I would eat was like meat and vegetables with white rice and potatoes and some seafood. I lost a lot of weight not trying to and it was similar to a Paleoish diet but with some legumes and some white rice and mashed potatoes. I ate a lot of meat though and I think that causes some issues. I have tried to be more plant based lately due to my obgyn rec and have added in more legumes, dark greens and whole grains. Months in I have gained a little weight and although my cycle still out of whack PMS got so much better I barely have it. I am going to implement eating more calories because I do naturally eat lower calories due to the intolerance plus reducing the meat because I would get inflamed around period time and get severe cramps. Ahh so mucj conflicting information. Was almost vegan just to fix my cycle. Now I dnt even know 😢
I study food and nutritional sciences at University and yes, this is true--your body has a hard time penetrating the shell around it so can't really break it down very efficiently!
Yup need to grind and preferably right before use so the omega3s dnt oxidize. I throw in my blender in a green smoothie and my blender grinds it all up 😋
I haven't had my period since September 2020 which is when I began to eat "clean" and drastically cut out highly processed foods and quit snacking on junk. Keep in mind that I'm only 5'3 and I used to weigh 108lbs and I am now down to 98lbs. My weight drastically dropped in 1 month!!! I have also been intermittent fasting tho (solely for health benefits). I eat plenty of good carbs (my morning oats), fats and protein. I think I have orthorexia, which is an EDOS that I've seen circling around due to us being quarantined. The obsession with food (in a "healthy" way) is dangerous too!!
I've been missing her for 5 years :/ My doctor never said me anything like thoose tips. He just gave me the medicaments because of my absence of hormones
Hi! So basically everything she mentions in these videos are things that I’ve been unintentionally doing for example I started running to cope with college stress, I’m not eating properly I lost a lot of weight ... and you ??
I lost my period for 3 months, i asked to the doctor and he said "it's fine because you lost many weights, just eat normally like usual you eat". But , seriously? Isn't it weird? I mean .. does it seems normal?🤔
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 honestly it really sounds weird, i missed mine last month, went to see my doctor this month, only for her to tell me it's normal, how can it be normal when i haven't missed it before without been pregnant 🤰, i don't even depend on that her answer, really making research on how to get it back this month cause I'm trying for another baby.
Hello mam I have regular periods but little bit bleeding like 1nd half day I want to ask you what I eat for heavy periods let me know please Thank you 🙏
Im missing my period for 3 years and i still can't handle gaining weight. Its so hard for me to deal with that mentaly. I did gain 5 pounds but it wasn't enough...
I haven't had my period since November 2019 and I've been trying to get it back since the beginning of quarantine, I just didn't know what else to do, I've increased my calories from 500 to 1900 but still nothing, sometimes I think it's hard to eat all of this, others I wanna eat more, but 2500 scares the crap out of me.
I've been into intuitive eating for a while and I get the feeling that eating junk food is okay, but in context of moderation, I was never someone who could just eat a couple of cookies, I always ate a lot, like 7 to 10, I feel restricted if I was to eat 1 or 2, and people say this will pass, but it's been years and I still like to eat a lot, I dont restruct myself, I dont diet or exercise too much...so do you think this is healthy, eating 10 cookies?
I’ve been intuitive eating as well and have actually lost 10 lbs over a year or so. I still eat many cookies like you, but I honestly think I undereat throughout the day. But yeah eating a lot of sugar isn’t good no matter what size. I need to work on my nutrition 😩

How do I get my period back after eating disorder like does this mean I need to gain weight or eat more fats I need help my parents will not get me any and you’ve helped me so much through my eating disorder?
if you want to be healthy then that means getting your period back. i dont want to get mine back either but if i dont then it will damage my body more.
Don't lose hope! I heard from people who lost their period for 7 years and finally got it back. You can do it. Your body is stronger than you think, you just have to listen to its signs and to have faith!

I always thought you had to grind flaxseeds, otherwise they just come out whole at the other end. lol
You're right, I always add ground/milled flax to my oatmeal, not the whole ones!
